Polytunnels Update Mid June On Our Allotment

From tomatoes, melons and chilli plant experiment, I'll show you the ups and the downs. Its been a slow start here in the UK with the bad weather this year. But there's still time.

We all really need the sun and some higher temperatures 🤞🏼 Here, in Holland, it's awful cold and my pepper and tomato plants are less smaller than yours. Let's hope it's going to be warmer the next weeks.

Glad you’re feeling better Helen. It is cold again here and raining on and off 🤦‍♀️ of course it is because we are going in a camping trip. 😮😮 2 degrees in June is insane here lowest was around 7c so peas it is 🤭. Have a great weekend and hope it warms up, Ali 🌦️🌞🇨🇦

Ive had melons, cucs, chillies and luffas completely wiped out by slugs in my poly tunnel; Outside isn’t doing much better either! 😅
My Jerusalem artichokes are doing really well though 😊

slugs have been driving us mad this year. Brassicas, Kale, Chard, even spud leaves, all have been attacked by the damn things.

Yup not been the greatest growing year so far. Eventually they will reduce. Hopefully 😵‍💫

The weather has been very bad and Thursday morning at about 02:30 am i was putting fleece over all my chillies and toms in my greenhouse.

It's not the greatest is it. 😒 between slugs and snails and the weather its a tough year
