My first car in New Zealand was a 1958 Plymouth Savoy I bought in 1977 for 700 NZD. It came with the side valve 6 which I pulled out and replaced with a 318 V8.

My Dad had one when they were new. The first Mopar I remember riding in. The push button transmission always fascinated me when I was a kid. Thanks for the memories.

I owned one of these around 1976. Parking brake didn't work, so I had to carry a rock to chock the tire. The 318 V8 made good power and other than the car being ugly it was a good car.
Interesting seeing Steve with his "snake guards" on while checking out this old classic.

I believe that 1959 was the first year for the St. Louis plant. My Dodge Grant Caravan was one of the last to be assembled there. The 1st digit in the VIN is a "1."

I saw one of these last week at the Bonneville salt flats speed week. A spectators car. I had to take a double take at the two doors. Never seen this before. Kind of like the Nomad.

Hi Jon Stein, your question as to "HOW MUCH" the 1959 Plymouth wagon will sell for is totally unknown as of today, Friday, August 20, 2021. The auction will decide how much the car sells for. It could be "this", it could be "that". You need to BID to find out! The good news is that there are still several weeks left before the October 13th auction date. And remember, the auction is ALL ONLINE and ALL NO RESERVE. Registration to bid will be opened up in the week or so before the auction. Good luck! -Steve
