Really like the through testing method of this video. No fluff or skip. I believe you can get even better PS2 results in recent PCSX2 builds under latest batocera beta. PCSX2 has improved a lot in last couple of months & make sure to check both MTVU & VU1 hack. My 4th gen Batocera PC can even play GoW2 now.
I hope that we get to see Batocera ported to the RK3588 devices as that will be quite the game changer in terms of advancement of performance at more friendly hardware pricing.
I recently picked up a Nucbox 5 for around $200USD, and it is awesome. A convenient feature of the Nucbox 5 is that it can boot Batocera directly from Micro-SD card. Emulation up to Sega Saturn & Dreamcast at 4x resolution works great. I can also use Final Burn Neo to emulate arcade games with enough overhead for fancy CRT shaders.
@@JollyJokerTheMetalhead The Nucbox 5 cannot do PS2. As seen in the video above, Nucbox 7 can handle many of the less demanding PS2 games. Nucbox 10 definitely can do all PS2 and some PS3 even.
are there any 12th gen celeron or pentium mini pcs being sold? or not yet? wonder how much better the new celerons are going to be compared with this ones...
Are most of these dips in game play due to the hardware not being powerful enough or just because it is being emulated. I currently have a Ryzen5 3600 and 1070 given to me saying they overheat and don't work. Fans stopped working on GPU and the CPU cooler is clogged with cat hair. Told my friend this but he already bought a new one so was going to turn this into either a home VM / container server or a retro box. With it being a full ATX build was going to go the server route if that hardware will not solve the slowdowns you are seeing here.
Update : so I managed to figure it out I had to do a hardcore uninstall refresh game list and all that and then reinstalled Steam and it fixed it. Hey Manny how's it going I was hoping you'd be able to help me with a problem I recently installed Steam and did everything and everything was going well up until when I exited out of Mad Max and then a resolution issue occurred and then I reset it my system and when I come back I can no longer log back into steam or access the games by clicking on them anymore it just backs me out to the main menu again in batocera please help
Bro, Is it possible to download the Batocera system on the Android box ? And what are the operating specifications that you suggest to make the Batocera system with high efficiency ?
No. This can't be done. There are a few SBCs and Amlogic boxes where Batocera is supported. You can find those on Downloads on the main Batocera.org site.
I have a newer optiplex hooked up to the television with a 6400rx, and for some reason I can't get YabaSanbario core to run even remotely full speed at native. I'm pulling my hair out over here. This review however shows that this OS can hang hard, and proves the polish of Batocera.
i got a beelink ser7 for $600 use it as a batocera machine and can play up to switch, ps3, xbox360 gta 5 runs like shit on ps3 but i got the epic games version running just fine
I was looking for something i could use inside a arcade1up would you recommend this device or which kinda device would be the best for that and could run batocera. Thanks
Always nice to see what other mini PC's are capable of 👍
It's exciting to think that within a year or two, these mini PCs will be playing Cemu and have better Dolphin gameplay.

This is a great video. I would love to see more hard ware reviews. Can you do all of the new retro hand held systems being released?
It would be cool to see your pick and review of another mini PC... 😎

I'm looking to buy it too, is it capable of emulating PS2 smoothly?

Nice video. Is it possible to have more videos like this one? Maybe a mini pc running PS3 games too, please?
You rock!
Thanks! The Batocera Team rocks!

I do have another question , Is there a way to bring over your Amazon games library?
Launchbox downloads videos and box art so much faster than Batocera. Will Batocera read the xml created by lauchbox if I move everything over? Thanks
Hey nice video, where to get this them? is really awesome
Is there any mini-pc that can handle high-end emulation with batocera, and if so which one?
can you share which batocera plus version were you using?
cool box....any other box that can do up to ps2 or above?

My wife overheard my video and said, "You're crazy!" 😆

The Android equivalent is EmuElec
Can you add a frame skip to God of War II or doesn’t that emulator support it?
There is a Skipdraw Hack and Micro Vu Speed Hacks that might help, but not a regular frame skip to PS2 emulation. I did not try those hacks.

a great review, but probably should mention that the poor performance on more modern consoles is due to the poor Intel integrated graphics on the CPU.

how did you enable the stats in the bottom left corner?
It's on Decorations. Then look for Performance.
@@BatoceraNation ahaaa, will do... thx
I was thinking to go with a real PC not on the constant edge of " this device almost could ”. w about nucxi7
I use an Alienware Alpha r1. I have had it almost 10 years. It’s about the size of a Dreamcast, and I have run Switch games on it.
