so what i do is snug up the light then put the grill back on lightly to see where the light is adjust it then take the grill back off tighten everything down.

Yo, this is way more intense then installing lights behind the grill on Gen 1 raptors.

He wired them to separate switches, I think. The amber could be wired to an amber marker light, so no need to manually switch it on and off.
