You're not actually trying to defeat these summons, you're trying to impress them. So it actually make sense that they're 'weak' against their own elements. Odin isn't hurt by lightning, he's impressed, or flattered, or however you wanna call it.
I have been trying to do this boss for ages i died too many times, I tried so ways to beat him since now I watched your video and finally I defeated him with your guide so thanks
Well on the 'Odin is weak to thunder' in previous FF games most notably IV he is actually weak to thunder. Because he apparently died by holding his sword up in the air during a thunderstorm the end result was that his sword got struck by lightning killing him. So if you hit Odin while his sword is up with a thunder spell in IV it will do a lot of damage. Heck if you scan him it even says weak to thunder. Still next week is the review I will be looking forward to that.
None of the eidolons are “weak” to the element that they represent, just using that same element will help to build up the gestalt gauge (like how using different attacks will build up the chain gauge). Also Brynhildr is female just so you know, not “he”, or “this guy”
Odin tips - spark ring on hope, (x2 if you want but i use iron bangle/spark ring for odins thunder attacks) and doctor's code/power wristband on lightning. (docs code will double the ammount of health you get back from your potions and works like a charm during dual-casting.) like if it helped - thanks!
About Bahamut's fight, i didnt have any problems with the default Paradigms xD it was really easy, debuff him with Fang and then just use the same strategy you used for snow, which is sentinel with Fang (either steelguard or mediguard) and because Fang learns Challenge which is a provoke ability 100% accuracy you only use 1 ATB gauge for Bahamut to give Fang his attention
I stop playing Final Fantasy XIII cause i couldn't get pass Fang summen but now since i seen how to beat Him i think i can get courage to fight again!! THANKS GameZoneOnline =^_^=
For Odin, use the shroud that gives you Vigilance, Protect, And Shell, I think haste too. With vigilance and haste, the battle is much easier as you can spam thunder faster, and with vigilance he cant knock you around and interrupt you.
I used to have issues with Odin, so much so that I stopped playing the game for two years. Once I defeated him he became easy to fight on subsequent playthroughs. Brynhidr and Bahamut are actually the most difficult, especially Brynhidr. They attack really fast, and with Brynhidr she always attacks Vanille - the sole medic of that chapter - and you have no access to the slow ability. I almost lost to Brynhidr on every playthrough and was even defeated a few times, whilst with Bahamut you can cast slow on him (although you need to change your paridigms first) and have two medics with you. Everyone has their difficult boss fights, but I'm actually surprised that you called Brynhidr one of the easy ones when she attacks really fast and targets your only medic for most of the battle flinching you in the process and stalling your ATB gauge. You also called Lighning and Vanille expendable (like a lot of the other battle partners) in the Bahamut fight but they are really important for healing your team and distracting the Eidolons. With them they make the boss fights easy.
Bahamut was the easiest eidolon for me. I only died once and I used Commando the entire fight. However, Sazh's was an entire different story. Soooo, I rock at hard enemies and suck at easy ones?
bahumut for me was basic i just kept on switching between relentless assault and combat clinic and beat him in under two minutes - i beat him the fastest out of all the summons lol fukin alexander took longer than bahumut for me
It's really interesting looking back on old rpg guides and see just how wrong we all used to be, now that we understand the games way more

You dont have to keep manually selecting Imperil and Imperilga
You just can repeat it
I had the most trouble with Hectoncheir. That Counter move kept freaking killing me.
omg thank you for the last battle!! I struggled for hours and i came across this and it literally took me less than 2 min to beat it!!!

@kNIGHTWING01 Very well done, and very well put together, Luke. That was really well done to keep my attention up high.
VERY helpful series of videos. Many thanks for these!
Next video is the Review gamers! Thanks for the patience with the videos. I am officially done with FF13 WOOT =D

Is it bad I got Odin on the first try but it took me over 10 try’s to get Shiva
thxs for the tips dude this helped me A LOT!!

I know right! But i thought it was more like a Fortress.
you know all you need to do to beat fangs some is keep using stop i beat fangs Eidolon in 45 seconds doing that
nice vid, got quiston, do you get all the eidolons in story mode or do they need special requiremenst to get them.
man that game zone theme is catchy
Yep dude you are so right!
Yes. That too. Thank you
Hope gets a fucking castle.
A FUCKING CASTLE.
Lucky bastard.
Hope is the Krillin of the Final Fantasy universe. He needs his own owned count. 🤣
filling up the gestalt meter reminds me of pokemon ranger

it's because since he was the youngest and shortest they gave him the move overpowered eidolon
Bahamut was the easiest eidolon for me.

Soooo, I rock at hard enemies and suck at easy ones?
I'd rather retry battling Bahamut, Alexander and Hecatoncheir. If I have to change the shifts or raised up their health, strength and magic.
I've never gotten any trouble with any of these guys. I never realised how hard they are tho
Either way, he's awesome. Am I right?
IT TOOK ME 12 TIMES TO COMPLETE SNOWS ONE FOR NO APPARENT REASON
FUCKIN GREAT TIMES ALL AROUND
Chocaphro!!!! Yes FTW!!!
Hey can someone tell me what button to press to summon these things on xbox 360???
Yes. That too. Thank you for helping. :3 (Not sarcasm BTW.)
@branjispad what do you mean staggered? i dont think you can stagger eidolons
ya he does
I'm having trouble figuring out how to cast super solider
i still cant beat this guy!!!!!
it lookes like a chess set to me
Same song and dance. A possible reference?
@Thegreencrow its called crystarium
Thor is the norse god of thunder not Odin, so it's not that odd that Odin has lightinging weakness.
chocofro...wow favorite!
thx :3
LOL chocofro and pigtails ... nice
Thor is Odin's Son and Odin is the king of the Gods. Maybe Thor decided lightning was the way to go because of his fathers weakness lol
are you sure about bahamut? cus i took him on first try and i wasent that hard
i have all my eidolons, this guys jus funny :P
CNT BEAT 3RD EDILON BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW I HATE TO USE SAZH'S SYNERGIST ROLE... FTW
it took me just a minute to finish odin
I only fought bahamut twice, without using entrench. It wasn't that hard. I think I tried to beat Odin over 10 times :D
ya don't say?
@RECV13236 he also pronounced sazh shaz
Chocofro is his name from nowo on.
u gotta grind train
I don't think I could have a chocobo or anything nesting in my hair, no matter how cute it maybe..
Bahamut =Easy, i defeated him easily the first time, Bryn.. [i don't know the spelling:P] was hard, i died two times before i killed him for good.
bahumut for me was basic i just kept on switching between relentless assault and combat clinic and beat him in under two minutes - i beat him the fastest out of all the summons lol fukin alexander took longer than bahumut for me
@branjispad never mind
same 4 me with odin
And Sazh is not Chaz...
lol odin's shield is a saddle :P
i randomly attacked bahamut like a bitch and it was my only easy way of winning LOL
@RECV13236 with lasers NEVER get the lazer
you mean that lucky son of a bitch right?
@serisdovakhin *forget
lololol hope bashing eff tee dub!
Hecaton!!! .... Whatever... xD
Eidolons are so easy to beat..
