I AM really exited for Día de muertos... Habrá una exposición de genealogía el día 2 y 3 de noviembre en papalote museo del niño... Ve para que hagas tú genealogía!!! Si quieres vamos te acompaño.
I don't know why, but every time I see one of your videos I get relaxed and enjoy it 100% . Is it your voice tone perhaps? I don't know, but I love them.
I've been to all the locations you've mentioned! #7? That's hard. I can think of 4 more places that could fit that slot: Uxmal. Palenque. Tula. Cholula. Uxmal is stunningly beautiful. It rivals Chichen Itza in its beauty. Palenque is also beautiful and the setting is magnificent in the jungle. You feel as if you were on a movie set. Tula is not as large but it is eerie with the dozens upon dozen monolithic warrior statues staring at you. Hard to describe the sensation of standing amongst these giants carved out of stone, but worth the experience. Cholula has the world's largest pyramid which is only partially excavated. Much of it is still covered and a church was built on top of it.
Its missing to visit a lot of archeological sites like: Quiahuiztlán , Tajin in Veracruz , Palenque in Chiapas , Monte Alban in Oaxaca , Tula in Hidalgo, so on. It's interesting to visit Tlatelolco, too, there you can find archeologic ruins in same order than in Templo Mayor , because Tlatelolco is a mirror city. This city is a copycat of Templo Mayor. Also there you can find "Caja de Agua - Water Box " this is the ruins of an ancient aqueduct built by the aztecs . I think is interesting to visit anahuacalli in Coyoacan this is a museum but there you can find archeologoical pieces from western of Mexico. Good luck!
Dan! I'm a mexican living in Italy. Every time I feel nostalgic about my country I watch a video made by you! You do a fantastic job. You love Mexico, I think, as much as we mexicans do. Thanks heartfully.
tehotihuacan was not made by the Astecs, but by the Tehootihuacanos, an unknown culture, who left no writing or vestiges of them, the Aztecs found it in ruins, and called it the city where the gods are born, that is, Tehotihuacan, its true name is unknown
Hey! Thanks for being so well informed! Many people think Teotihuacán was made by Aztecs, thanks for not saying that! Thanks your your videos, when I’m far from home, they make me feel closer
Te recomiendo que también visites Monte Albán en Oaxaca (zona arqueológica zapoteca), el Tajín en Veracruz(zona arqueológica totonaca), el Palenque en Chiapas y Uxmal en Yucatán (también son mayas)
I loved the video but I really think you missed some beautiful sites in Chiapas and Oaxaca and all around México. Palenque and Monte Alban are just fantastic, you really feel like in the middle of the jungle there too. Continue with your video, thanks Dan.
You re great Dan. It is a very good selection. I d also put Uxmal in the list... and you re right... You need to visit at lesast one archeological site to understand this couuntry. Thanks.
I think you have omitted five very important places: El Tajin in Veracruz, Palenque in Chiapas, La great pyramid of Cholula, which is the largest in the world in Puebla, Tula and yours Atlantes in Hidalgo and Monte Alban in Oaxaca. With this I think it would be the complete list of the most important Pre-Hispanic archaeological complexes in Mexico. Greetings.
WHAAAAAAAAAT?! I am from Mexico City and I never saw that piece of art you showed in that building's corner in the first minutes. In my defence I was never around the downtown that much. Anyways, if you see this, I would really appreciate if you comment the names of the streets. I am coming to visit my family for the winter holidays (I currently live in Germany) and I would love to visit the place and take a picture of it. I just can't believe I was raised there and that passed completely unnoticed for 26 years of my life there. Thanks a lot in advance =D
Dan, there's a good documentary on Amazon Prime called, Guadalupe: The Miracle and the Message. I think it's the best documentary I've seen on the subject. The Guadalupe image is also venerated in the Philippines.
❤️I love history and archaeological ruins, your presentation skills are fantastic, and your videos are thoughtful, well shot. Keep using your skills to continue to show a different Mexico(Or you can do RUclips vlog 5000 with the same content as everyone else...lol). You(and Kari) have a nice talent, thanks for sharing it. 8^} 🙏
Glad you saw all of those places but you are missing Palenque and Calakmul! Not sure if you intended to offer a ranking, but if you did, there is just absolutely no way Teotihuacan falls to #5. It's not only the most massive and best preserved, but also the one with more historical significance. Teotihuacan is from the 1st century CE... The rest of your list comes 1,300 years later... My list is 1-Teotihuacan, 2- Palenque, 3- Calakmul, 4- Chichen Itza, for 5 and 6 choose from Uxmal, Templo Mayor, Monte Alban, Edzna...
You need to make a new count, after you have visited more ancient cities, because it is certain that your list will change after having seen the cities of Palenque, Bonampak, El Tajin, Calakmul, Monte Albán, Tula, Tzintzunzan, La Venta and many more. And that is how you will notice the differences between all cultures and, at the same time, their influences on each other
You’re definitely missing Chiapas. You should go to Palenque in Chiapas, one of the most wonderful places. Also Monte Alban in Oaxaca. Oaxaca and Chiapas are probably the most wonderful states in Mexico and the richest in terms of cultural sites after Mexico City.
Hey! I just came across your videos and I'm loving them! You should definitely try visiting Tijuana, Baja California. It would be a totally different experience from the other cities you have visited. I will not lie to you, there's not really alot of beautiful architecture and/or old gorgeous ruins to see here BUT you'll get to experience what "the frontera lifestyle" We have the worlds most busiest border crossing here" Tijuana MX/San Diego, CA USA.. and also we have the title of the city with the best food from all Mexico! (You can google that! It was even on the New york times recently) even the tacos are different and better here.. and that doesn't come just from me, but from the majority of tourist and even Mexicans from other cities. I think the reason from the food is because we have a mixture of people from all cities around Mexico(immigrants) that end up living here.. as well as other people from other nations that came here for the same reasons and end up making a living here. Also there's a big percentage of us (me included) that live a double life in between Mexico and USA almost everyday (In my case I work in USA but I live in Tijuana Mexico)... You can take advantage of the trip by crossing the border and go to San Diego, California which is gorgeous (don't know if you've visited), and Los Angeles of Course and even Las Vegas if you've got the time. In the Mexican side we have Rosarito beach, Valle de Guadalupe (which is one of the most popular vineyard town in whole Mexico (a MUST). You will also not have that much trouble with language since we are in a border city there's lot of people that know English and we use both pesos and Dlls . If you ever come you can send me a message (just followed you on IG @denyzel I can point out to you the MUST go places around here and in San Diego/Los Angeles area." You'll love to see the difference in lifestyle that we have here
buscador2007 For not liking them. The kinetics. They received the disapproval of all the people who know the importance of the ruins. Por no gustarles. Los kinetics. Recibieron la desaprobacion de todas las personas que conocen la importancia de las ruinas.
Te falta Palenque en Chiapas y el Tajín en Veracruz. Visitalas!!!

I forgot Xochicalco in Morelos, it is spectacular place too
I've been to all the locations you've mentioned! #7? That's hard. I can think of 4 more places that could fit that slot: Uxmal. Palenque. Tula. Cholula. Uxmal is stunningly beautiful. You need to visit Uxmal! It's incredible and isn't to popular at the moment compared to other sites, so it won't be packed!
Monte Alban!!

Awesome video, I wish I had more time to visit more ancient ruins when I was in Mexico

I didn't know that they don't let you go up the Castillo at Chichen Itza anymore, I went to the top back in 1990.
Wow, lucky you! Yes our guide said it couldn't be climbed anymore because the number of visitors today would cause damage over time.
Hello Dan, you have to visit " El Tajin" in the state the Veracruz, is really beatiful and amazing.
Dan.. Thank you for showing us the Mexico a lot of us never got to see. ..
I loved the video but I really think you missed some beautiful sites in Chiapas and Oaxaca and all around México. Palenque and Monte Alban are just fantastic, you really feel like in the middle of the jungle there too. Continue with your video, thanks Dan.
