I think it'd be fun to see videos on the aircraft and cars from the Indy films in the spirit of those "Every AT Walker" and "Every TIE fighter" videos.
I would love a bonus episode on the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. That would be so cool to dive into the historical accuracy of Mara and the temple itself etc.
KalKenobi83 I was really disappointed to hear that the ‘Berg wouldn’t be coming back, but the more I think about this the more I like it. I really hope they nail it. I don’t think Crystal is nearly as bad as most people do, but Indy deserves a better send-off.
crystal skull was fun, i saw it in theaters and i enjoyed it, and i still can't wrap my head around some of the criticism it got i mean sure, you probably wouldn't survive a nuclear bomb test in a refrigerator, but you probably wouldn't survive having your heart pulled out while it's still beating long enough to be put in a cage and dipped in lava, either never mind some greasyboi swinging through the jungle like tarzan? no way, might as well have a literal biblical wmd explode an entire islands worth of nazi heads while you're at it and aliens?! it's not like henry drank from the goddamn holy grail after having a chat with a 700 year old dude i mean come on be realistic
I love all the Indiana Jones films, but as a kid sitting in the theater when Raiders debuted, it holds a special place with me. I loved every second of that masterpiece of a film.
If you think about it as each macguffin and each quest being a massive embellishment on Indy's part or on the part of through-the-grapevine retellers, that may just make it more accurate.
You could do one or more episodes on the various boobytraps we see in the films. How realistic were things like blow darts or giant rolling boulders? Could be interesting
Yes there were. I don’t think I learned this until I got Indiana Jones: The ultimate guide. The comics could be called the Indiana Jones expanded universe. Learning what happened in the comics , some of them have better plots than kingdom of the crystal skull
Interesting to see the link with Chachapoyan and further conspiracies in Indiana Jones. The chachapoyans were described as fair-skinned, and wore full clothing. They were probably remnants or inheritors of the megalithic work in Peru that has gone unexplained (10k years ago). But, anywhere else in the world with megalithic structures do have myths about them being constructed by fair-skinned people or even giants. For instance, in north Africa there's a group of fair-skinned peoples whose language has no previous root language. The reason these pockets of populations exist with little knowledge, lends credence that they were world-wide survivors of a cataclysm, and that's when fertility rituals started appearing. Lots of Spielberg/Lucas/Scott films touch on these conspiracies, there's just not enough evidence for academia to confirm - but obviously the creators did the research and know what's up.
Legend has it Indiana Jones did his temple run in less than 12 parsecs
Actually, it was less than 13. Mr. Jones "rounded it down" to make it seem more impressive.
@@Compucles "Hey, Lady! You call him 'Dr. Jones'!"
I love these Indiana Jones videos.
Me too. This was my favorite movie as a kid, and it’s still probably the best.
You should go over some more of the Indiana Jones comics. I would absolutely love it!
I think it'd be fun to see videos on the aircraft and cars from the Indy films in the spirit of those "Every AT Walker" and "Every TIE fighter" videos.
Love the Indy stuff can you go over Star Wars MacGuffins as well
Maybe you can make a video about the Peacock's eye. That is the diamond Indy gets in exchange for the ashes of Nurhachi
I would love a bonus episode on the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. That would be so cool to dive into the historical accuracy of Mara and the temple itself etc.
As a historian, love to see the effort put into this Indiana Jones lore videos!
I love the indiana jones video's.
I don’t really like Star Wars anymore but I will always come back to the channel for these types of videos
Great video. Very interesting
When will there be a Indiana Jones 5?
2022 and James Mangold will be directing it

@@picklesmuthrdottir1376 I agree

Please make more Indiana Jones explained videos! I LOVE them so much!
The idol must be much older as it appears in Vos’ collection in Solo
I love all the Indiana Jones films, but as a kid sitting in the theater when Raiders debuted, it holds a special place with me. I loved every second of that masterpiece of a film.
Raiders of the lost ark was a good movie
You betrayed SHEBA!!!
You forgot to include the part where you stole the fertility idol and it is on your shelf!😉
The true reason he's all "oh, it's not real" cause admitting it is real would be admitting to theft.
That belongs in a museum!
Great video Alex 🙂
I just adore these Indy videos.
Can you cover the comics? Those seem interesting.
Awesome! Didn't know that the "real" idol was a fake. Bummer! Love these videos! You're running out of Indy MacGuffins!
Also you could get the second idol in the bonus level of Indiana Jones and the infernal machine game.
There is a photo of the real idol in Joseph Campbell's book in The hero with a thousand faces
You really got me there with the intro. XD
Maybe for a future video you could do a video going over potential real life inspirations for indiana jones
I fully agree with the other comment about doing more Indiana Jones comics.
I know I say it almost every time, but damn I love the Indiana Jones Explained episodes!
If you think about it as each macguffin and each quest being a massive embellishment on Indy's part or on the part of through-the-grapevine retellers, that may just make it more accurate.
That was a lot of fun. Bring us more, please.
When I hear the different intro song I get this big ol' grin every time
This is so cool. Is there really a chance that all this happened? I didn't know history was this cool
what a great video thow i thought you where going to say the idle was some alien from the star wars universe
That's actually the Aztec birthing figure called Tlazolteotl
Harrison Ford
Well, does it look like an alien species from Star Wars? We need to make the World Between Worlds connection. That Idol has to come from somewhere!
You could do one or more episodes on the various boobytraps we see in the films. How realistic were things like blow darts or giant rolling boulders? Could be interesting
Please keep doing these
Fun fact the ark of the covenant is actually a plot coupon not a macguffin device
It would cool if alex made a video about what he thinks the mcguffin will be in indiana jones 5.
"You throw me the idol, I throw you the whip!"
I just watch this movie today, really hyped me
Harrison Ford amazing
YESSSSSSSSSS
Looks like the Innergeekdom studying is going well! haha
If you read Indiana Jones the ultimate guide Indiana Jones eventually gets the idol back.
THERE WERE INDY COMICS!? WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME!?
Yes there were. I don’t think I learned this until I got Indiana Jones: The ultimate guide. The comics could be called the Indiana Jones expanded universe. Learning what happened in the comics , some of them have better plots than kingdom of the crystal skull
@@masonpyle5929 Thanks! I just went out and bought an issue
You should definitely do a Indian Jones Explained channel
And still is
Would you ever do book reviews of the Indiana Jones books by Mac McCoy or the mcguffins in them?
legend
What about the Cross of Coronado????
Junior
Can you review the TV series
