I would love a Capcom vs SNK 3 but with massive rebalance so that all the top tiers aren't all capcom.
SNK cast was done dirty by Capcom.
I love this game but I can't help but agree with that statement. Evil Iori jumps too high amongst others.

Pretend the SNK cast is just a bunch of Dans. Just for fun ... but not for competitive.
@@lionhart_x_255 no one competitively plays with the boss characters like evil iori. And there are def strong snk characters groove depending. K groove Mai and hibiki. A and c groove yamazaki. Geese is good in any groove but shines in k and p. I see n groove morrigans doing well and nakas and Athena. Benimaru is good in s groove although it is the weakest groove.

I know that for the sake of freedom and competive integrity , all characters are allowed no matter how top tier they are but I would really love to see a format for limiting top tiers from being played in CvS2. Perhaps a ratio system like what the MvC2 community which allowed low tiers to shine and makes matches much more exciting to watch and even play
I’d like to see more than that, I’d love a ratio system where the “price” of each character changes during the tournament based on how often the character is picked
Idk there are a lot of viable characters and grooves in this game. Watching Japanese players rly lets that shine. Gunter uses A groove king and todo, Izumi does well with his s groove team. You tend to need a rly solid character as an ending anchor but you can make things happen with a lot of the cast. There are a few characters who are definitely too bad to use but blanks, sagar, bison etc are all bearable matches. This is why the only banned characters are the boss characters which are actually broken.
You would need point values for each groove then. A Sakura isn't the same as P Sakura...
S groove might not be considered the same as K groove etc.... It's much more hard

Cool game shame there 34 playable fighters but people only pick these 6 fighters and they all capcom so the games kinds pointless why is it vs snk if no one in thebhistory of this game ever plays snk fighters
Yea SNK characters are insanely nerfed in this.
These aren't even the top tier characters of the game. Only bison, Sagat, Blanka, Vega. You got to see Honda which nobody really uses even with the RC hands. And Chun li isn't really on too with the gods. And fyi most of, if NOT all the SNK character are terrible. Besides a few of them like Geese. This is a tournament of course people are going to play to win. There was a Chang and Rugal in top 8 too. While the tiers can be a problem, low tier characters can still beat them just ask BAS he always struggled against p and k groove low tiers. If you want to see the SNK characters more you should watch the japanese tournaments that BAS is apart of. They're more frequent there.

Mid high: Yamazaki, Rock, Mai, Nakururu.
You have 7 strong SNK characters out of 22, and there are more in the mid tier that can still perform well even in tournaments.

I wish these tourneys attracted japanese players. Bas youtube channel has way better casuals than this grand finals. A bunch of snk characters in it as well.

Both good games that are very different. Launch sfv was terrible but it’s a rly good game rn with prolly some of the highest level play of any fighting game save from maybe third strike before sf4 came out.
