The banana thingy would be so good for frozen banana pops. Fill them then take off the peel, dip it in chocolate and put sprinkles (or sliced almonds, whatever you like) on top and freeze them. So good
For the breakfast sandwich maker...I'd bring it to hotels that only have a microwave and a mini-fridge and no breakfast or kitchen. 7 minutes for non gas station breakfast food sounds like a win in my books!!!😄
I have the double cooker. I set it up while we were getting ready for my wedding. Everyone could make a sandwich between hair and makeup. Nobody had to actually cook and everyonegot just what they wanted. Its also excellent for kids or when you want to be doing other stuff
I'm trying really hard to focus on this video because I want to watch it but all I can think of is the fact that Colleen gave birth to the twins! Rachel, congratulations on being an aunt again!
I’m still sobbing from Colleen’s video! But congrats again to the Ballinger-Stocklin Family! Congrats on being an aunt again, Rachel. Two videos from Colleen and Rachel so thank you for making my day. I love you guys!
I will say I was gifted that sandwich maker when I was living by myself in college and it made my morning super efficient. I would used sliced ham or lunch meat in my sandwich so you didn't need to heat it up. It also made way less mess in my kitchen than pulling out the toaster, and skillet. I only stopped using it because I got tired of egg sandwiches for breakfast everyday.
Thank you so much for trying our Banana Loca!! You filled it perfectly! And yes, you're right on the point, to help kids have a mess free snack (instead of sliced bananas getting suction cupped to the plate and it being slippery to put peanut butter on top)! You're now officially part of the banana bunch!!
You can walk away swap laundry do makeup, change a diaper, even partially feed a child all while breakfast is cooking and not worry for 6 minutes, could never do that with the stovetop. That is a total win!!!’👍👍👍
I’ve done some deserts in which I peel one side of the banana scoop a little out and put peanut butter and chocolate chips, put the skin back on and wrap in foil and throw in the oven or on the grill if you’re camping. Heat until the chocolate is melted. super easy and super yummy. This could be another way of doing that!
I think the sandwich maker is more so for people who want to just put it in there and then have time to finish getting ready or do other things, otherwise you'd have to stay at the stove to cook everything yourself. I guess this "frees up" some time for you in the morning if you're in a rush and have other things to do before heading out but still want to have homemade breakfast instead of grabbing something on the way.
I'd use the banana thing to fill pastries, cakes, doughnuts, brioche and croissants, carrots, zucchini, cucumber, peppers, sausages, jacket potato and anything that could form some kind of pocket. The breakfast thing is only useful for people who are getting ready for work in the morning and don't have time to wash pots before work. The coaster thing is OK I guess, but I'd forget about it in no time at all. Have you seen your new nephew and niece yet?
Honestly I would use the banana thing for my husbands grandpa with advanced dementia. I give him peanut butter bananas but he gets so messy that I’ve given up on the PB but this would make it so much easier to give him protein in his banana snack
Honestly I love the sandwich maker. Mind you I dont use frozen meat. Just throw everything in the maker and its done with little effort. The sandwich is done at the same time as my tea typically
I have the same breakfast sandwich maker-y thing. It is fantastic for chaos mornings. I plug it up and turn it on. Go wake up kids. Come back when it's ready, add all ingredients. Go back and make sure kids are moving, help them, fix their lunches, etc. Then boom. Breakfast Sammy. I love that I don't have to pay attention to it like I would if I were cooking the things on the stove. Set it and forget it. I got it for Christmas like 2017 I think. I didn't use it at first, because I too thought it was pointless. Just had to find out where it fit in to my life. Now I can't go back to life without it.
Dude, no wonder you're so confident if that's what you look like without makeup. It's unfair to look that cute with no makeup that early in the morning.
Salad spinners are so much more effective and easier than whatever that sling thing was. It actually gives a place for the water etc to escape into? I even kinda use the inner basket as a strainer when I rinse the leaves before putting them in there.
I have the Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker and it works splendid! I think for the sake of the video, you should've had it already pre-heated and use ready-to-eat meats like turkey, ham, Canadian bacon, pre-cooked bacon, etc. since those just have to reheated.
The breakfast sandwich thing is neat if you're getting ready in the morning and dont have a ton of time but still wanna eat. You can get it ready while making your coffee and then set it up with your ingredients and then do what you did and go do your makeup while waiting for it to cook. That way you don't have to stand there and physically cook it. You can multitask. And the banana tjing would be cool if you were going to make chocolate covered peanut butter banana slices but instead of having to spread peanut butter on the little slices before dipping in chocolate, you fill it the cut your slices then dip/toss in chocolate. Or it could be a fun option for chocolate covered frozen bananas on a stick! Idk how well it would stay on the stick tho. You would probably have to fill it, then slice it, put it on a stick, and freeze it to harden the peanut butter before dipping it and freezing it again
I'm crying over peanut butter! My grandpa was VP of Best Foods Inc. in Canada and they sold SKIPPY PEANUT BUTTER!!!!! We don't have skippy in Canada anymore and seeing that jar took me back to when I was a kid in the 90s & all the grandkids had jean jackets with skippy guy on the back. It was actually embroidered too! he was a great man! Congrats on the twins Auntie Rach ... did you & JoJo dance outside the hospital window? Hehe. Oxo
I will say I have the sandwich maker the same exact thing, and it is a lifesaver before school when I don’t have time to make something for breakfast even though it takes like 10 minutes, for me personally it takes me 30 minutes to make a breakfast sandwich lol. Because for some reason I can’t make a breakfast dance quick at all and it’s really helpful if you hate runny yolk, because it cooks it thoroughly through more than a pan would
The why for the banana thing: Because bananas are too mushy to be able to effectively dip into heavy substances like PB or Nutella. You end up with mush in your hand and not enough topping on it. This way you have the perfect amount in each bite without squishing the banana.
As someone who also dislikes bananas, thank you for your support. That being said, I think you can use it for the freezer chocolate banana pops where there’s now a surprise inside!
I have the double sandwich maker and I use it every single morning. My twin has the single (I think the one you tested) and the double is better. I am GF/DF, so I use GF toast and cut off the corners. It works like a charm! Before I make my sandwich, I also make my baby a poached egg essentially with it and cut it up and he loves it! Multiple uses, super fast once you get used to it, and way less clean up. I just throw the 2 pieces in the dishwasher and rinse the main piece quickly. Also, mine doesn't preheat and has a setting to adjust time and beeps when done. The double is better for sure!
"SNOOP...... Nosey little dog puts his nose up in my (coffee) business" I too had a dog named Snoopy, I named him for the very reason of being Snoopy. (plus he played Joe Cool all the time)
I also have that sandwich maker and it is good for hotel rooms, but I have one that makes two sandwiches at a time which makes it more effective/necessary.
I think the banana thing could be cool for making chocolate covered bananas! Like you could have peanut butter or nutella in the middle then chocolate on the outside too.
So pretty Rachel! You and girlfriend make a cute couple. Love how you both are natural beauties. Keep up the good work with your videos. Really enjoy your traveling ones. ☺️
U cover that banana in chocolate and freeze it and u got a nice cold snack for when it’s hot out. If it’d work with a carrot it’d also make a nice treat for the dogs x

Bananas don't taste good frozen though.

Right? Great for over the road truckers, and honestly mom's too. Some of us don't have time or energy for cooking or dishes.

I have that breakfast sandwich maker and love it! It’s great for quick mornings because I keep bacon I’ve precooked in my fridge
The little sandwich maker would probably be good for an office without a complete kitchen setup.

I feel like with the banana filler you could make frozen banana pops like fill them and coat them in chocolate or something those things.
I have a mighty need for that banana contraption, frozen filled banana slices sounds like my dream come true tbh
The breakfast sandwich thing is neat if you're getting ready in the morning and dont have a ton of time but still wanna eat. I think you can freeze the already filled banana and dunk it in melted chocolate. Roll it in sprinkles for a festive look. Kids love 'em.
I think the banana filler is cool. My toddler would love it. Also frozen banana pops filled with yogurt or something would be cool
