- Hi everyone welcome back to my channel as I upload my second video. Once again try and ignore the time stamp I still can't figure out how to remove it and I was using my ancient Aldi brand go pro lol. So in today's video it was a long day since we had a whole fridge full of expired milk. I will be showing you a little bit of a behind the scenes look of what a shift manager does for closing. My duties as closing manager are to re-fill any empty produce and products, box up half of the store, pull out any products that are close to date.We also organize as we work. When called on I have to approve any markdowns or returns being made at the register. Thank you for the support and I will be making more videos regarding Aldi. If you have any ideas or questions please comment below. Please share this video to give an insight to how demanding of a job it is and to treat everyone kindly and with respect. Subscribe for more!
i just started aldi and im on day four and will be working at one of the busiest stores in America. Your videos are so helpful! and also a tool to use on how things should be done.
You make the job look easy! I can tell you’re great at what you do.I just applied I hope they call me back😩I’ve seen so many bad reviews but I don’t know if it’s just from people that don’t actually want to work for their money and lazy or it’s just really that bad either way I’m willing to find out for myself 🤣
Did you ever find out? I agree what u said and have had more harder jobs in the past
She really does make it look easy. in the downside of working at retail is to deal with karens and unhappy customers.
so how is it
Compared to other retailers ALDI definitely pays more and has greater benefits than it's competitors. I will say this tho. Unless you're lucky enough to be on register all the time you'll be working for that 17hr or whatever your location offers. I'm not saying that job is extremely difficult but it definitely takes a little effort. In my opinion the only extreme downside especially if you're full time is the work life balance isn't great. You won't have a consistent schedule and it'll be alternating every week. One week you might open a lot and the next close. Its always changing and that's the reason why I left.
You are a former employee. The employees bust their butts there. Mostly under 25 year old women employees where I shop. They work there for a while then disappear. The shift manager where I shop she is about 23, works to the max constantly. Some men none over thirty. Way it is there a very demanding job.
You make no sense , you gotta be a 90’s baby
hello is this job more intensive then kitchen porter
As a former employee it’s considerably more women atleast in surrounding divisions and mine than other retail jobs. Shit was more demanding than any kitchen job where the casual smoke break and unprofessional banter. Everyone is on the clock. Creates super effective workers though.
This is awesome! Love it
Cheer up girl. U are strong 😘
Y'all need a new boxer. You can get wheel replacements at a hardware store. We've done it many times 👍👍👍
Can I do this work as part-time job as a student?
I read that store managers work a 65 hour week. Is this true for your store also?
65 sound kinda high I’d say 55 - 60 hours would be the average work week
I only work 45 a week and that's on a busy week. Sometimes less.
@@Jthall1990My store manager on average would work 45-55 hrs a week. Even during holidays he never needed to work that much.
are you sure from video title (a shift manager) i think that is multi task worker

Its sad they have all that food they give away instesd of giving it to the needy. Dumb. Use it as a tax writeoff.
Worst company to work for
I’m thinking of applying as store manager trainee, why do you say this
@@aojvx not sure if it's too late but as an employee of 3 years... RUN. This job has done nothing but stress me out and the amount of strain it puts on your body is insane. I now have carple tunnel and back problems. Also you will never be good enough, don't ever expect a thank you... Just go faster.
@@aojvxI’m currently interviewing. It’s called work because it’s work
Pina, I was wondering if maybe we could be friends?
