Aliona takes it 100%. She jumps into the axel, which is more proper technique, and she gets amazing height and travel distance. Kamila spins into her axel, and relies on her fast spinning to get the jumps rotated like Tara Lipinski. Although she has beautiful extension after landing her jumps, there isn't that wow factor like Aliona's
Kamila's 3A is a work of art, she's using her powerful thigh muscles for the take off, unlike Aliona who's using momentum, it's less sustainable because it relies on more complex physics and less on muscle memory. If you gain weight your momentum changes so you have to fall a lot during practice to adjust where's with muscle memory you can sort of feel how much force your muscles need to put in in order to make up for the excess weight, squirrels, cats and other animals who jump a lot use it all the time, they never rely on momentum, they utilize it of course, but they don't rely on it in order to propel forward, their powerful leg muscles can instinctively calculate how much force needs to be put out for a specific distance taking body weight and everything else into account
Kamila has a triple axel that will not last very long in her career compared to Alena's. If you look at the take-off, the method that Kamila uses is very sloppy. Its main focus is just to bearly get up in the air and rotate. In contrast, Alena kicks her leg high up in the air in order to get the height. Alena's triple alex is more likely to have the longevity similar to that of Elizaveta's. I think that once Kamila turns eighteen years of age, a lot of her jumps will fall apart because her body will change and the technique she uses does not work on grown women, as we have seen from most of Eteri's female skaters.
You are contradicting yourself by saying that Kamila'a 3A will not survive because of a wrong technique, but you seem to forget that Aliona learned her signature jump in the same school, with the same coaches as Kami. In Eteri's school.
@@vesnaklanac4437 That' s not really a contradiction. You are assuming that both skaters had the same coaches. While both skaters did go to the same school, both had different coaches that taught them their technique. There are plenty of videos on youtube that talk about this. These videos also talk how many of the coaches who work with Eteri come from different schools of thought regarding jumping techniques. Also if you look at both jumps in slow motion, you will see that the techniques used are totally different.
@@MM-co4lf yes, they do have different technique, but I assume they have to adjust the usual technique to skaters who are somehow out of ordinary like Kamila. For a figure skater she is already quite tall 14-year old. She is also lean, light and elongated which is why she is so exquisite and beatiful to watch, but coaches probably approach her differently in many aspects. Aliona is shorter and I believe, like in gymnastics, it is an advantage, unless you become more "round" as your body develops.
@@vesnaklanac4437 I see what you mean; however, as an ex-skater my-self I do know that there is only so much a particular technique will give. The type of adjustments that Kamila would have to do to sustain a triple axel once she becomes a full-grown woman would be pretty big. Compare the triple axels that Madori Ito did and also that of Tonya Hardings, you can see that Kamila's technique of bearly getting into the air and rotating as quickly as possible is not a technique that will last long. The coach known as "hot Sergei" left the Eteri group not only for financial interests but also for his disagreement of the jumping techiques that gave quick results and that would last only a few years. This was the coach that taught Alena pretty much all of her triples. I would be pretty amazed if Kamila would be able to pull off a triple axel with that technique at the age of 22. Also, just to repeat the point, changing a skater's technique is very hard and can take up to 2 years to take full effect.

Kamila is using her back more and aliona is using her legs. So Aliona no question for me
Alena's jump was just beautiful
Alena's entry is simply insane. That alone should make it worth more. Who cares about hand over head with an entry like that.
So difficult to chose. I love both of them!
Aliona is a pure perfection...
Aleona!!😍😍☺
Aliona takes it 100%. She jumps into the axel, which is more proper technique, and she gets amazing height and travel distance. Kamila spins into her axel, and relies on her fast spinning to get the jumps rotated like Tara Lipinski. Although she has beautiful extension after landing her jumps, there isn't that wow factor like Aliona's
Alena❤️
Kamila🌪❣
Kamilla!!! ✌
I say once she is 17
You are contradicting yourself by saying that Kamila'a 3A will not survive because of a wrong technique, but you seem to forget that Aliona learned her signature jump in the same school, with the same coaches as Kami.
Kostornaia ❤❤👍👍

I prefer Kamilas 3A, but Alena’s is amazing as well. It’s hard to compare 2 skaters that jump the same jump differently and beautifully yet powerful in their own ways. Kamilas rippon arms, seemingly ease, flow and extension are why I prefer her jump (as she able to mix technical and artistry in the same element) but Kostornaia has power and an iconic difficult entry while still maintaining some grace. Amazing by both of them!
Kamila
Kostarnaia did better!!!😍😍😍 Wonderful girl!
Kamila ⚘
Kamila🥰
Оf course Kamila!!!!!
Eteri really made Alena's program as a prototype for Kamila's
I think Valieva is much better and elegant coz in the air the spins and the position is SO tight like Yuzuru's or Mika... and it looks more beautiful... of course the height in Alena looks great but even with that great height their 3a looks sometimes very very exact in the end.....
It's amazing that Kamila can fully rotate a 3A and 4S at such minimal height. She spins much faster than her teammates. If she improves her height to Alena, guess it's a 4A and 5S on the way?
You should watch kimmy repond. That is minimal height
Kamila😍
blasphemy comparing the two. Kostornaia delays her entry in the air. first she jumps forward and only tgen turns. kamila does a turn before the take off
kamila is one of a kind
Yep Aliona was highly 3 A then Valieve, but Valieve also great 😘😃☺😇😋😇
