@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK thanks for getting back to me. This has all been so informative, I look forward to having a go at this- pollinating, seed gathering and planting.
I am DYING for a video of you showing your hybrids in general. That's the part that gets me excited the most about succulents, its varieties! I have just started growing mine ( 2 PVNs and 1 Crassula Campfire) and I can't wait to cross-polinate them.
Nice to see your lovely face. . I wish I could be organized with seeds, like you. I have no patients for collecting seeds, I just take the seed pods and sprinkle them right back into the same pot. I hear you Pedro.... This was a fun video, thank you Liz =)
Love love love it I wasn't sure about the insides of the seeds being green if they would develop or dry in the envelope or bin them just? Tonight i just harvested some of my flowers I then saw a new video and you explained it all so well thank you yay too im so very excited for the next video on how you set up for them to grow.
Would love to try growing with seeds but the process looks like would take for ever to grow, especially I don't have a glow tent or light. Great video Liz. Btw I did find myself a west rainbow. And also cotyledon orbiculata variegated round form. 😊
Different plants will bloom different times/season of the year depending on where you are in the world. Harvest time is always when the blooms dry up and seed pod form and dries.
Thank you for showing us how to collect seeds, I will try one day😍 Why were you drying the seed pods in the oven, was it because they were wet by rain? 🥰

I already messed up unless it doesn’t matter. Do you have to leave the flowers on the plant to dry up or can you cut the flower stem and let them dry up in a tray? I did not pollinate every single flower that was opened so once the flowers that I pollinated started to dry up I snapped them off and put them in a small tray. Did I take them off the plant too soon?
I did not pollinate every single one of these flowers. The insects(Aphids, bees, flies, etc) can do the pollinating also. But you have to let it dry up to brown color. If it's still green, not gonna work as they're still too young. Have to let the inflorescence completely dry off. No crunch, no lunch...😀
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK But does it matter if they dry up in a tray or do they still have to be on the plant ? Now that I heard myself say it out loud because I use talk to text it sounds like a stupid question but I’m going to ask it anyway lol
@@janetac1738 The process of drying up on the plant matures the seed naturally. If it was harvested too early, they are not mature seeds and will have very low rate of germination.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK OK thank you! That answers my question perfectly. Until next year lol. I’m still going to try I’m gonna see if I can get any seeds and I’ll still try to germinate them and see what happens if I don’t have any luck then at least I know where I went wrong.
This is my first ever seed harvest and I'm using them to experiment on different growing conditions. It will take a a couple of seasons before I'll have anything for sale. Thanks for watching.

exciting!!!
Thanks for explaining this process, now I know when a flower has bern pollinated 100%. Look forward to trying this
Once pollinated, in a matter of a couple of days, you'll see the flower/seed pod swell up as an indication that the pollination is successful.

Is there a specific time of year that is best for doing all of this? I just don't want to waste my time if it's too early or too late to be doing it

초록색은 수확하지말고 갈라질때까지 둬야하나요?
Better to harvest them before they split. But when still green, they're still unripe and will not grow.
Good afternoon, deer
Thank you for showing us how to collect seeds, I will try one day😍
Why were you drying the seed pods in the oven, was it because they were wet by rain? 🥰
Yes it was raining when collected them. It they're left to dry up on their own, they can go moldy. Best to dry ASAP.

Hello thanks for sharing! Very informative aa usual. Video was really recorded Nov2020?
Seeds were harvested in Nov. 2020(Spring) and planted the following season(Spring 2021).
Merhaba Liz hanım. Tohumları aldıktan sonra hemen edebilir miyiz? Yoksa beklememiz mi gerekir ?
They should be planted as soon as possible.
