Except I disagree with 2:24 here since constantly adding event towers is impractical, as having limited time towers perform better than normal towers is unfair for new players, while having them be worse than available towers just won't have them be used.. so it's really difficult to find a good balance for event towers and releasing too many of them will just become messy.

However, don't head for engineer head for accel its less time consuming and cheaper but roughly does the same amount of dps My opinion on the engineer: Engineer is a good tower, but its reliability is not that great. It won't be used in strats since the grind for it takes a long time, 24 at least! Most of us don't even have that time. School, Clubs, family time, taking your pets to the bathroom, eating, doing homework, below we are kids not adults with debit cards ready to commit tax fraud. Most of us don't even have money and that time. so we will never see an engineer in our inventory.

Unpopular (and late) opinion: i loved the tower even day one of it being released, but i hate hardcore ao much i cant bring myself to beating in more than twice per day, so i still have only 2500 gems, and i think ill get the rest with robux to be honest.
tds community want a new tower in hardcore so they wont feel useless of hardcore after getting accel, but the engineer is too expensive due to the amount of gems you get

Hardcore needs another buff that would help a lot of players (including myself) and it is to add some kind of a system where the game waits for you to press a Start button to begin the countdown. Now i get this would probbably be hard to implement as there are many factors to consider, but it would REALLY help. I can't even count how many times i had to Restart because the game was laggy, and by the time i loaded in it already got to wave 4 or something. This is only the thing in Hardcore (cuz regular games don't begin the countdown until a mode is selected) so it would help balance it out a little.
Because I'd like to grind less and if the win reward was 500,it would only be 5 wins on hardcore for accel but hardcore takes approximately 1 hour that already make the grind for Accel around 5 hours.Of course with Engineer tho,a tower that should cost 4000gems but costs4500,would still be 9hours of grinding BUT the hardcore isn't that rewarding so it only gives 200 gems so basically, grinding for 18 hours straight for engi,the reward is not worth that time of our life and if u do grind that much then touch grass.
Also, this event is pretty controversial since there is no "event tower" or some shit. Imo I don't fucking care if there's no event tower as long I get new skins.
The only reason I complain is because the only way to get gems is hardcore which is extremely boring do they expect players to win hardcore as a grinding method when you can just use strats that give you more gems per hour I just want them to make the event give you 20 gems or more or less per triumph so its easier and less boring to grind for engineer

But it has less dps in total than accel they should increase the placement limit to like 10 and make the tower cost lower (not by gems, bu cash ingame) and also if they put hd on sentries then they should just increase placement to 8

TDS commentaries like this one are a great idea, and are way better than the lame “animated” skits that we have now that consist of PNGs of towers and enemies on a white background speaking using monotone text to speech voices with broken English.
The problem with the cost is that if they lower it, people that bought it will be mad but people that don’t have it will be mad if it’s price Isn’t lowered. Engineer is a better support tower now with the shield but access still do more damage and are better for bosses. So changing the price of engineer makes people mad but also nerfing it will make people mad. The only way people can be happy with engineer is if it’s buffed more to be more worth it’s price but I don’t see that happening. I will say it would be worth it if the sentries could detect stealth but not flying enemies, making it more viable but currently engineer is in a rough spot
Funny thing is, you can get more benefits for paying robux above level 60 by spending 50$ to get an extra 500 gems from buying from the gems shop instead of the gamepass, idk why you would need 500 extra gems, maybe for people who have grinded straight to get engineer and didnt stop to get accel, or maybe just for a later gem tower or something

I was someone who never believed that engineer was an event tower. The reason I thought this was because engineer was leaked several times relating to the hardcore mode/update (in the trailer as you said but also a picture with other confirmed to be hardcore towers, accelerator mecha base and hacker)
Tip for who wants the engi, just grind 100-200 gems a day, sure it will take time but it will keep you safe for losing it and give you time to enjoy life, trust me there are more ways to enjoy tds.

In my opinion the engineer tower is meh. It can kill the fallen king and stuff but it felt like a pretty underwhelming tower before they gave the engineers turrets shields. But it feels like the prices of the accelerator and the engineer should be switched by that i mean that the accelerator should be 4.5k gems and engineer should be 2.5k gems because the engineer feels weaker than the accelerator. Also you have a very cool editing style :D, it looks very high quality.
I don’t think they should change the accel in any way, as people might get mad about how they grinded for accel just for it to get nerfed. Remember that accel also takes quite a bit of grinding to get

Ok if you do the math like a big brain person the average time to win hardcore is an average of one hour and after you get 250 gems so that means 4 hours is 1000 gems. So if you non stop with a very sweaty team, with good towers, and strats of a freakin commander in the military. It would take about 16 hours or more to get the engineer in one siting. It would have been worse if you was still the old reward system. I personally think hardcore is still hard because no one is willing to play it and the strategy in order to do hardcore is probably much more harder than a guy who has been working as a navy seal. I think they would at least make hard core 4 players I think that the buffs were balanced but no one is willing to waste their time in order to get one tower that is worse than the accelerator. Which has better dps, damage, range, bettter late games tower, and etc.
8 MONTHS LATER AND THE ENGINEER IS STILL ABSURD IN PRICE! Something has to be done about this, hardcore is still a useless, unbalanced gamemode with pitiful rewards and engi hasn't changed in price. Plus, the current event (Violent night) basically requires at least one person to have engineer in order to win, or you have to buy the gamepass. Nothing has changed about the problem besides it being SLIGHTLY easier.
This is due to a general design flaw in tds, it’s not what a tower defense game is at heart, it’s not about strategy and learning, it really is a simulator where you just grind for the good towers that carry you instead of mixing and matching different towers that do well in different situations, at this point they need to focus on the more gameplay side of things because this is really becoming a run of the mill simulator where you grind for no true goal
The problem for me with the gems reward increase is that it is the Triumph reward that got increased and not the waves rewards. I can not triumph hardcore because of my bad internet and grinding with the ace mili strat is also much harder because half of my time is wasted while loading the game :/. Not saying its the devs fault but I think it would be nice to add a Ready button. And i can also not play strats because i join late and then the strat is ruined. Most of the time the people i play with replace me. Sad :(
Haven't you pro players been moaning for a while about how "There's nothing to do after you got the accelerator"? But when below does add something that costs a lot even for pro players (by pro I mean like lvl 150+) suddenly "ItS tOo ExPeNsIvE" Make up your goddamn minds. i think the problem is it doesn't feel fulfilling to play hardcore because of how repetitive it is, people want something entirely new. but yeah some people will always complain and have unrealistic expectations.
I don’t think the developer’s decision here is exactly wrong, people have to make money somehow and even though roblox really isnt a reliable way to do that i can see why belownatural wouldn’t want to leave the community and start from scratch. That aside, what they did do wrong was overhyping the event. People can get really excited over something if the Solar Eclipse even was anything to go off of, and Duck Hunt was being portrayed as a somewhat silly, but fully fledged out event. And while i never thought the engineer would be the event tower because tbh it just wouldn’t fit, the hundreds if not thousands of children in the community(this is roblox after all) would definitely be a lot more gullible. The devs definitely could have marketed the update better

Since they updated the game, engineer now has shields that go on her sentry's and i can confirm that it makes engineer a lot better. Don't get me wrong, accelerator still does a lot better for the late game but engineer is such a close 2nd. Since I don't think the devs are gonna buff engineer anymore, there best option is to nerf the accelerator in some way like damage or upgrade cost

TDS Is a game where Pay to Win is fround apon. The Devs are trying their best to make a mediocre amount of money for a playerbase that size. The money they make could be 1 robux per player which might sound good but seeing that murder mystery 2 has 100+ thousand players and has most likely made millions. 1 robux per player is bad.
People HAS to agree,I’m not saying engineer is bad,but 4k robux or 4,5k gems is such a scam for such tower,getting lvl 60 is easy I admit,but the grinding is,horrible,it’s not that bad,it’s decent,if you want my advice:go for a golden skin or accelerator FIRST.
The reward buff isn't enough for hardcore, even now after 8 months this vid has been up, for the most part, casual players are forced to play this gamemode, which is, well, hardcore. It isn't easy, and getting a reliable strategy takes some time, as well as putting together a team. In the end, you're either not a casual player anymore, or you're not playing the game anymore to there not being any content past "beat molten around 100 times to get every coin tower, now do hardcore or go for the map towers, maybe the golden crates." It's a grindfest, and I'll admit, I have a very short attention span when it comes to games, expecting there to be quicker action than there is. Currently one of the best ways to obtain gems is by losing to the mega slow, which doesn't seem right to me. The whole point to playing something is to win, but when the reward isn't worth the push and pull, then people will find loopholes like this. I just feel like I've hit the bottom in TDS, there being nothing to do but get the map skin rewards, and go back for the occasional game of fallen.
They should make a different tower ducky doom tower can be stunned you have to sell all ur towers for it and it cost 10k coins it is really op but once it is killed its gone forever its a unit which stops moving when it gets to middle area

About my opinion about engineer, it's not worthful to buy them. It makes you a pain to grind unless you want to buy with only Robux. I can say Mechanic is Tower Blitz is Fair Tower as Useful as Stun Tower. Mechanic doesn't have flying detection but sentries can. They can build variations of turrets on its path. While on Engineer, it replaces the turret variation on its level. Can't say about the stun. It can be destroyed 2 stuns from Engineer's Turrets. I feel like their Turrets have 1 HP and doesn't have collision. Compared to the Shields, added 1 SHP. So that means 2 stuns can destroy it. Shred Tower but a Supports. I can say Accelerator > Engineer. Mechanic TBZ is still compared to Engineer TDS. 6/10 Engineer TDS, 8/10 Mechanic TBZ.
many people are ignoring the fact that engineer will ruin PVP mode if it ever gets added to TDS. It's cost efficient and damage efficient throughout the game.
I really not enjoy engineer because, well, grinding on accel kill all my wish to play in hardcore again and spend very a lot time for tower, that's not worth so much grind.
Actually for me it's better that the Engineer isn't an event tower since I quit tds a few months before Engineer was released and only got into tds maybe like a month or 2 ago

Just upgrade your ace to max use merissa solo hc grind strat you can get around 312 gems per hour well depends on how fast you instant skip

The only reason I complain is because the only way to get gems is hardcore which is extremely boring do they expect players to win hardcore as a grinding method when you can just use strats that give you more gems per hour I just want them to make the event give you 20 gems or more or less per triumph so its easier and less boring to grind for engineer

hardcore when you win it you get 250 wich is super balanced for a tower that costs 4500 gems and now you dont have to spend 40 hours+ to obtain it
+ theres only one void reaver so its sort of easier
now its just about 13 hours of straight grinding.
without considering sleep/school times etc.

The problem with the cost is that if they lower it, people that bought it will be mad but people that don’t have it will be mad if it’s price Isn’t lowered. Engineer is a better support tower now with the shield but access still do more damage and are better for bosses. So changing the price of engineer makes people mad but also nerfing it will make people mad. The only way people can be happy with engineer is if it’s buffed more to be more worth it’s price but I don’t see that happening. I will say it would be worth it if the sentries could detect stealth but not flying enemies, making it more viable but currently engineer is in a rough spot

Funny thing is, you can get more benefits for paying robux above level 60 by spending 50$ to get an extra 500 gems from buying from the gems shop instead of the gamepass, idk why you would need 500 extra gems, maybe for people who have grinded straight to get engineer and didnt stop to get accel, or maybe just for a later gem tower or something
The engineer price is okay because in my opinion the og players cant be even better than player lvl like 50-100. I angry for below to add gladiator for sale and thats why I like engineer price to only og or rich people can buy this amazing tower
I was someone who never believed that engineer was an event tower. The reason I thought this was because engineer was leaked several times relating to the hardcore mode/update (in the trailer as you said but also a picture with other confirmed to be hardcore towers, accelerator mecha base and hacker)
Tip for who wants the engi, just grind 100-200 gems a day, sure it will take time but it will keep you safe for losing it and give you time to enjoy life, trust me there are more ways to enjoy tds.
The only thing good about the event was the gamemode. It slaps and is pretty fun to play. Aside from that, its lack luster to say the least.

In my opinion the engineer tower is meh. It can kill the fallen king and stuff but it felt like a pretty underwhelming tower before they gave the engineers turrets shields. But it feels like the prices of the accelerator and the engineer should be switched by that i mean that the accelerator should be 4.5k gems and engineer should be 2.5k gems because the engineer feels weaker than the accelerator. Also you have a very cool editing style :D, it looks very high quality.

Ok if you do the math like a big brain person the average time to win hardcore is an average of one hour and after you get 250 gems so that means 4 hours is 1000 gems. So if you non stop with a very sweaty team, with good towers, and strats of a freakin commander in the military. It would take about 16 hours or more to get the engineer in one siting. It would have been worse if you was still the old reward system. I personally think hardcore is still hard because no one is willing to play it and the strategy in order to do hardcore is probably much more harder than a guy who has been working as a navy seal. I think they would at least make hard core 4 players I think that the buffs were balanced but no one is willing to waste their time in order to get one tower that is worse than the accelerator. Which has better dps, damage, range, bettter late games tower, and etc.

8 MONTHS LATER AND THE ENGINEER IS STILL ABSURD IN PRICE! Something has to be done about this, hardcore is still a useless, unbalanced gamemode with pitiful rewards and engi hasn't changed in price. Plus, the current event (Violent night) basically requires at least one person to have engineer in order to win, or you have to buy the gamepass. Nothing has changed about the problem besides it being SLIGHTLY easier.

This is due to a general design flaw in tds, it’s not what a tower defense game is at heart, it’s not about strategy and learning, it really is a simulator where you just grind for the good towers that carry you instead of mixing and matching different towers that do well in different situations, at this point they need to focus on the more gameplay side of things because this is really becoming a run of the mill simulator where you grind for no true goal
they are definitely doing that as alot does require actual strategy badlands ll polluted wastelands ll and pizza part
The problem for me with the gems reward increase is that it is the Triumph reward that got increased and not the waves rewards. I can not triumph hardcore because of my bad internet and grinding with the ace mili strat is also much harder because half of my time is wasted while loading the game :/.
Not saying its the devs fault but I think it would be nice to add a Ready button.
And i can also not play strats because i join late and then the strat is ruined. Most of the time the people i play with replace me.

I don’t think the developer’s decision here is exactly wrong, people have to make money somehow and even though roblox really isnt a reliable way to do that i can see why belownatural wouldn’t want to leave the community and start from scratch. That aside, what they did do wrong was overhyping the event. People can get really excited over something if the Solar Eclipse even was anything to go off of, and Duck Hunt was being portrayed as a somewhat silly, but fully fledged out event. And while i never thought the engineer would be the event tower because tbh it just wouldn’t fit, the hundreds if not thousands of children in the community(this is roblox after all) would definitely be a lot more gullible. The devs definitely could have marketed the update better
Fun fact: if you didn’t buy the last plot in the event the last boss wouldn’t come out making the event much easier

I got engi after 5 days grinding
Since they updated the game, engineer now has shields that go on her sentry's and i can confirm that it makes engineer a lot better. Don't get me wrong, accelerator still does a lot better for the late game but engineer is such a close 2nd. Since I don't think the devs are gonna buff engineer anymore, there best option is to nerf the accelerator in some way like damage or upgrade cost
i dont think they should nerf accel but instead should make engi 2,500 gems and accel 4,500 gems without changing anything

TDS Is a game where Pay to Win is fround apon. The Devs are trying their best to make a mediocre amount of money for a playerbase that size. The money they make could be 1 robux per player which might sound good but seeing that murder mystery 2 has 100+ thousand players and has most likely made millions. 1 robux per player is bad.

The reward buff isn't enough for hardcore, even now after 8 months this vid has been up, for the most part, casual players are forced to play this gamemode, which is, well, hardcore. It isn't easy, and getting a reliable strategy takes some time, as well as putting together a team. In the end, you're either not a casual player anymore, or you're not playing the game anymore to there not being any content past "beat molten around 100 times to get every coin tower, now do hardcore or go for the map towers, maybe the golden crates." It's a grindfest, and I'll admit, I have a very short attention span when it comes to games, expecting there to be quicker action than there is. Currently one of the best ways to obtain gems is by losing to the mega slow, which doesn't seem right to me. The whole point to playing something is to win, but when the reward isn't worth the push and pull, then people will find loopholes like this. I just feel like I've hit the bottom in TDS, there being nothing to do but get the map skin rewards, and go back for the occasional game of fallen.
They should make a different tower ducky doom tower can be stunned you have to sell all ur towers for it and it cost 10k coins it is really op but once it is killed its gone forever its a unit which stops moving when it gets to middle area

About my opinion about engineer, it's not worthful to buy them. It makes you a pain to grind unless you want to buy with only Robux. I can say Mechanic is Tower Blitz is Fair Tower as Useful as Stun Tower. Mechanic doesn't have flying detection but sentries can. They can build variations of turrets on its path. While on Engineer, it replaces the turret variation on its level. Can't say about the stun. It can be destroyed 2 stuns from Engineer's Turrets. I feel like their Turrets have 1 HP and doesn't have collision. Compared to the Shields, added 1 SHP. So that means 2 stuns can destroy it. Shred Tower but a Supports. I can say Accelerator > Engineer. Mechanic TBZ is still compared to Engineer TDS. 6/10 Engineer TDS, 8/10 Mechanic TBZ.
many people are ignoring the fact that engineer will ruin PVP mode if it ever gets added to TDS. It's cost efficient and damage efficient throughout the game.
I really not enjoy engineer because, well, grinding on accel kill all my wish to play in hardcore again and spend very a lot time for tower, that's not worth so much grind.
