Watanabe, Panasport, Enkei Compe they all look nice on a S30 Z. They've also all been done approximately 9,999,999,999 times. The Epsilons look awesome and its something you don't see everyday...yet.
Any thing with your name attached I watch Larry! I like that you show the world that not crazy turbo builds and driven cars are cool and artistically highlight the most unique and creative parts of every build. Respect! 💯
My father had a 240Z.... Orange, fabulous.... my favorite car ever. It rusted out in the tough Maine climate... I’d give anything to have one... I wish you’d have kept it stock. The black hood looks like hell.
I love how you love your Japanese Ferrari. I've owned eight in the past and now many years later I'm resto modding 2 one for me and one for someone else, the Japanese Ferrari gets in your blood and you just miss, their size, their Driving Feel and there isn't many cars that are more beautiful..... not many at ALL .Larry how much you want for your old wheels ??? Your right Mister Stress was totally STRESSED.... Car looks "RIPE!" 17 thousand watched this and 12 people have thumbs down...they need to go watch grass grow.....
I worked at Epsilon in LA back in the mid 80s. I bolted together a lot of those wheels. I never cared for the chrome bolts with the gold centers. Chrome bolts with black centers or black bolts with gold centers for me.
Hello Larry It looks good . And those wheels do make it look like a 70s car . Not to take away from your build . But I remember in that time frame a small block chevy and trans was a popular addition to the Z cars .
Thats a BEAUTIFUL color, really reminds me of a late 60s muscle car color! Specially 69-72 GM Hugger Orange, almost identical and it looks amazing on a Z! This car just keeps getting better. You should really have them color match the valve cover on the SR, that would really send it over the top.
Hey Larry just a thought if you still want to go two liter, I think it would be cool to go rb20, you'd still be keeping the inline-6 heritage of the car, or might you have a 25/26 swap in mind down the road?
I actually got to see Orange Bang at JCCS last year and oh boy, it looked 1000 times better in person than it does on the video! I cannot express in words how beautiful it was to see at the show. I took a picture with it and I’m kinda bummed I missed an opportunity to take a picture with the legend himself. Oh well, there’s always next time! (If you want to see my JCCS pics, including Larry’s car follow me on IG @_akuma_no_zetto_)
"because they don't scratch the..." LOL, they're using an old school hunter machine. With a steel pry bar.... No roller, plastic finger cover or anything.
I've known primer makes a difference in the final paint color but I've never got to see just how much of a difference it can make when compared side by side.
LOL! When he trust other tire shop better than Hoonigan's. At Hoonigan's shop: Hert: Don't worry, Larry, we got you... Vin: bust out flamethrower. Larry: Oh, god, please strike this man.
3:50 won't scratch your rims... Next shot, 4 wheels laying on the concrete... 5:10 they didn't even line the dots up with the valve stems either, I wouldn't shop there
Not very profesional if you ask me.. no gloves, suit or masks. Its not were I want my car to go.. Its bad for your health to begin and it can compromise the quality of the paint.
@@sebasbrouwer As someone that has a master I-car cert, and gold ASE certs... I can comfortably tell anyone that the people at bells and Vaughn are where they are at for a reason. I don't wear a respiratory or mask when sanding because it fogs up my glasses. And I know plenty of people that don't use Gumby suits when in the booth. Those run a higher change of touching the wet paint then tighter cloths do. Also, when sanding, gloves don't do crap. You need to FEEL the low/ high spots
As long as Larry is happy. An early number 70 z stock or modified or any s30 z deserved better prep and more respect. Very amateur work for such a big body shop with history. I don't care what kind of cars they restore they should stick to insurance work... These are special cars and should only be touched by people who know and love them.. Just my 2 cents... I love the passion you have for your Z Larry... Trust no one with her....
Looks more like GM hugger orange than Mopar Hemi Orange or GM Flame Orange which was the actuall color of the General Lee (yes, they painted the general Lee a GM color 🤣)
It's so good living Australia so I don't have to wait till 3AM for this

Im surprised he even layed it on the concrete b4 even having tires on it... smart

Makk Nero you’re right but they have the look
Wow, 3am... Hoonigan is really exploiting my quarantine sleep schedule
congrats on 400k bonus channel! glad to have been here since it’s creation and loved all the extra content ever since
I've waited so long for this mini series
I love Datsun's, my dad had one when i was born, then got rid of it for a brand new pickup truck so he could support our MN life.
Any thing with your name attached I watch Larry! I like that you show the world that not crazy turbo builds and driven cars are cool and artistically highlight the most unique and creative parts of every build. Respect! 💯
Right on Larry! Glad to see your baby being brought back to life!
Color looks great too 👍
That was not a cheap paint job.
omg orange bang looks amazing. those wheels, those tires, that paint.. great job, larry
Every Larry Chen video should end with a scream.
Change my mind
My father had a 240Z.... Orange, fabulous.... my favorite car ever. It rusted out in the tough Maine climate... I’d give anything to have one... I wish you’d have kept it stock. The black hood looks like hell.
Mannnnn just a shade change made it look so much more alive! 🧡🧡🧡

Larry the King of The Netherlands approves of your color choice!
Man that looks mint. Wheels and tyres make it look like a Hot Wheels Special
Orange is my favorite color! That Dino looks SICK!
What a transformation! Wheels and paint so important geez
Sincerely hope you ceramic coat the entire outside of the car. Especially those headlight covers. What lovely build, you nailed it
This is the most satisfying series

That "Z" is awesome!I'd personally have done the bonnet and tappet cover a matching orange.
Up so late i get to see part 2! Woop woop! Autofocus and Knuckle Busters are keeping Hoonigan alive lol

You have good taste Mr.Chen!
Eye candy that’s the only way i can describe it. That’s my favorite Z
Hello Larry It looks good . And those wheels do make it look like a 70s car . Not to take away from your build . But I remember in that time frame a small block chevy and trans was a popular addition to the Z cars .
Those wheels on a z31 and e30-36 would look fire
The primer color alone is baller
Thats a BEAUTIFUL color, really reminds me of a late 60s muscle car color! Specially 69-72 GM Hugger Orange, almost identical and it looks amazing on a Z! This car just keeps getting better. You should really have them color match the valve cover on the SR, that would really send it over the top.
That orange pops. Damn it looks good
Watching this makes me want to build a 5th 240z with my sons
You said "Looks like a '70's, uh"... and in my head I said "hot rod"!
Looks just like 69-72 GM Hugger Orange 🔥 Muscle car colors look great on classic J tin, I'd like to do a S30 Z in Ford Grabber Yellow.
It looks amazing! i was doubting the meat, but maaaaaan, do they look good!!!!
Hey Larry just a thought if you still want to go two liter, I think it would be cool to go rb20, you'd still be keeping the inline-6 heritage of the car, or might you have a 25/26 swap in mind down the road?
why sr makes same power, better weight distribution for the car with it.....yeah yeah its doesnt make rb sounds big deal
love the orange on the 240z super nice

Your car looks amazing 👌🏼.

Wish I could do a restore..The car came out really good!!🏁👍
That turned out fantastic!
"because they don't scratch the..." LOL, they're using an old school hunter machine. With a steel pry bar....

I’m building a 280z and am loving this! Can I get your old rims?
God damn that looks FRESH!
Car looks so good!
1440p??!!? Awesome, I'm hoping this is the standard going forward hoonigan
7:48 I DIED.
Those wheels are FIRE

Ooooosha keen on this project!!
the car came out amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay!👊🍻🐈🔥
i'd like to see the interior too, i hope you managed to freshen it up just like the exterior
LOL! When he trust other tire shop better than Hoonigan's.

it's a good thing I'm an essential worker working second shift! 3-11pm
Looks incredible but would look even better with the bonnet in body colour
UUUUUHHHHHHH build freaking break down on this please!!!! Give me the long episode to drool over 🤤
Jimmy in a cowboy hat. That's different. The 240 looks like sex on wheels. Nice job, mate.
Gotta love HOONIGAN. Almost a full build in one video. Some people would do a whole 25min video on just mounting the tires on the new wheels.
I loved your Z we I first saw it. now I want you be my father Larry. hahaahah. Stay safe guys
Have you considered protecting the paint with film? Obsessed garage makes miracles apparently
While most people are fawning over the next hyper car, I just want Z.
Same bro, or a 510.
so go get one, mildly rusty ones are quite attainable still
So, did they do the interior at all? Just curious how the professionals go about doing it
Not very profesional if you ask me.. no gloves, suit or masks. Its not were I want my car to go.. Its bad for your health to begin and it can compromise the quality of the paint.

She's beautiful
Fresh like orange juice with ice in hot summer 💦
Loving the paint, missing the Watanabes....
Orange bang to orange POW.
Man I thought this Z was sexy before. But oh man this does things to me
Its a cool Car and nice color
The Epsilons 🔥❤️🤤
Wondering why 2 of Larry's cars were in the parking lot before jccs 🧐
The white letters on the tires look great ... how did you make that happen?

That primer orange looks like a orange creamsicle pop.
Good morning.
01 and its a japanese general lee
I really want him to call the car THE GENERAL Z
General Le.
Looks more like GM hugger orange than Mopar Hemi Orange or GM Flame Orange which was the actuall color of the General Lee (yes, they painted the general Lee a GM color 🤣)
Any plans for clear paint protection so you have to worry when using the car as a chase car or just having fun with it?
You didn't show us how the tyre lettering became white between the tyre shop and the paint shop. Paintbrush and a steady hand?
Bro orange bang now needs a freshen up chitty chitty bang bang maker bigger bore stroke crank and maybe a really nice Borg on it
