The beginning of this video made me cry… in the best way.
For the last 2.5 months I’ve been struggling with major postpartum. My husband is deployed to Europe until August and has been since October last year. My son was born February 17th.
This video gave me so much hope for my families future, and reminded me that loneliness is only temporary.
Thank you for reminding me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that ambition for how I’d like to raise my family is still so important to me within our journey together.

I was bawling on & off throughout this whole vlog bc my husband & I had our honeymoon in Kauai in October and it was truly the most beautiful place on earth. It makes me sad that we’re back home in Illinois but this vlog makes me think maybe one day we’ll be back with children in the future. 🥰

My best advice for traveling with toddlers is have no expectations. Go someplace with nice weather and scenery so even if nothing goes according to plan you’re still having a wonderful time!

I lived in Hawaii my first 2 years of college. I lived on the Big Island in Hilo. I miss walking to the beach and going to the farmers market on the weekend. Neat seeing it again after a few years 🌸

This was such a fun blog to watch!! Nothing but smells and joy watching it! 😃❤️ your family is so cute and you guys had the time of your lives!! I love how you just did it!! I am going on a trip to Italy next month with just some of the girls in my family and this clog made me really think “how can I optimize the most on my trip?” We really do not have a schedule so it’s all kind of up in the air except for the locations and hotels, and dates were are each location. So this really got me to think! Also, I was getting ready for and event as I was watching part of this. It is a business professional event and watching you made me think “how can I step up my appearance?” So I made sure my hair looked a little better. You also gave me some more confidence in my appearance. I can be confident, I can look this way if I want to, I can feel pretty. Your look just gets better and better so it gave me the confidence to do that. Keep it in my mind.
Also, I have a bunch of casual shirts too. Hahah. I donated so many from over the year from high school and middle school. So I understand Grant. They were also sentimental ones too. I wish I and them into a quilt, but forgot that was an option.

Hawaii is IT lol! This brought back all the sweet memories 🌈🌺 Hubby and I have went twice and we are desperate to always go back! It’s why we moved to FL! It kind of feels like Hawaii to us, just the warmth, plants, oceans, lakes, etc! We also want to go to Europe! We had it planned this year but moved into a new home as well so had to reschedule it! Hopefully Europe next year and Hawaii after that (Oahu and Kauai) 🌺🌺🌺

Caitlin - It makes me so comforted to hear how you get so emotional and cry when your sons cry. I am also SO sensitive and really struggle when my son is so upset or deeply crying. My husband is fine and can handle so much crying, but I cannot! I've been thinking I am the only one or have something wrong with me, so it was really nice to hear your story about the plane ride and how you had a break down in the car. I feel so bad for you of course but thank you for sharing!!!
But why put yourself, fellow passengers and most of all your kids through something like that. I understand people who have no other choice because their family lives far away and they really want to visit the. But when it's just for a trip/vacation that your kids will most likely not remember any way because they are too young. Why put yourself through that. You can take them when they are older and can appreciate and remember it.
@@ElsaKing-lp1nq My point was more about appreciating that Caitlin shared very vulnerably her reactions to crying and that reaction is something I relate to - which happens on a weekly basis and not just in a plane situation. I appreciate that she expressed this to us because I struggle with this a lot and it made me feel better to her that other Moms struggle. I also don’t think it’s good to just completely change your life because you have a child. If you get invited to the trip of a lifetime why say no because you have children? I’m glad Caitlin was brave and bold and the trip ended up being so lovely and transformative!
If I could go anywhere in the world it would be Hawaii so when your fave RUclipsr goes it’s a must watch. Wonderful vlog!

Haha, just like you said you didn't expect to become as infatuated as you did with it, I hear from everyone that goes. Like there is this incomparable magic to Hawaii's golden sun, sweet fruity smell, gorgeous landscapes, etc. I can't wait to go with my little Moanas 🌴

The boys are sooooo cute and like.. articulate?! I can tell you talk to them often and they learn from you. 🥹 and hearing their voices is making me sooooo curious what my sons voice will sound like (he’s 8 months, babbling, says some things like da da and ma ma but it’s otherwise a mystery to me lol)

This was such a fun vlog to watch! I've been to Hawaii 4 times in my life. Thrice with my family as a child (Oahu, Maui, Big Island) and once with my school choir in 9th grade (Oahu). My parents and sister just went last September and I was slightly jealous 😅 I'd love to go in the future with my husband and 2 kids, but they're ages 3 and 1 so I'm not feeling like doing a long flight right now. Maybe in a few years. 🌺
Funny the way you guys were discussing seasons and where you'd prefer to be when. I gotta say Perth, Western Australia has, and is definitely having the best weather right now. Midway through April which means halfway through our Autumn and last week we were having 30° days, tomorrow will be 28° and we are still having mornings and nights down at the beach. Summer can be rough here with 40° days in a row, but totally worth it when Autumn is like this 😊
