I love Diana and really like a lot of her songs through all the genres she does, but this is still one of my favorite recordings by her... Brandon Stone works a lot with her and is sort of a mentor, wrote many songs for her, produced her first album. Brandon is a very successful artist, mainly in Germany (he studied at a Berlin conservatory and graduated "cum laude" as a jazz pianist) and Russia / eastern Europe / Eurasia. He's a multi instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter (hundreds of songs for dozens of artists from different countries) and producer, Diana learns a lot from him about the business... A must watch is their duet of the song "The Day You...". Brandon wrote that song for her, she originally recorded the album version as a solo artist, but for a holiday season Gala / TV appearance at the end of '23 they performed it as an incredibly powerful duet with beautiful harmonies and a crazy extended high belt from Diana like you never heard one from her before... It was not filmed professionally, to my knowledge. But the person who recorded it had decent skill and a good sound recording. It is worth seeing even if you don't do a live reaction to it. He calls it "As Your Voice", and this version has English subs. She sang the song at concerts after that with his blessing, with recorded music. I don't know if you've ever seen but Diana does a song based on a early 1900s.pom and it is an extremely jazzy blues performance and is amazing when I watched this performance of what a wonderful world and she did the skatting. I knew she would be great at blues and jazz and then she came out with the performance I was just telling you of the name of it was called. In my huge City. @@jeff-buri-jeff3716 Plethora of undertones as well and strong undertones. One analysis I watched she a perfect third a fourth and a fifth almost as strong as her root note, damn near singing a chord. Nobody's voice even comes close to the richness of Diana's voice.

The blues that came out of the Mississippi delta/Delta Blues isn't centered around vocalists but rather musicians and is extremely unlikely that Diana would choose to cover any of it. Country & Western is a purely N American genre. There is no reason Diana would cover any of the genres I mentioned. cheers😄

I don't know if you've ever seen but Diana does a song based on a early 1900s.pom and it is an extremely jazzy blues performance and is amazing when I watched this performance of what a wonderful world and she did the skatting. I knew she would be great at blues and jazz and then she came out with the performance I was just telling you of the name of it was called. In my huge City. At first, the song was not associated with Christmas. It was made in a bad time (1968) when the USA was on the brink of a civil war. There were protests against the Vietnam War, race riots swept through the country, curfews were introduced, and Jewish pogroms threatened.
Armstrong also felt the country needed the song, that it would inspire a sense of hope and optimism.
At one of the performances, Louis Armstrong introduced the performance with the following words: 'Some of you young people say to me, 'Hey dad, what are you talking about, what a beautiful world. do you call her beautiful too? …” But how about listening to old dad? I think this comment refers to the observation that on Russian language media channels you can come across some unpleasant and totally unmerited trolling of Diana's work. Trolling persistent enough that I suspect it is orchestrated by some in the Russian music industry. (god knows we've had enough shady characters in our western music industry). Diana steadfastly insists on working independently or at least (I guess) is waiting to be offered a contract that gives her the artistic freedom she has now.
