Hi there, Iwant to update firmware on my dji2 mic. When it attaches to my laptop the file for it is empty, is this OK? Can I just pop new update in there? I'm updating firmware because mic has suddenly stopped working with my gopro so if you have any ideas I will be grateful. I have tried resetting to factory settings. The gopro does recognise an external mic.

Yes, when you connect to your laptop you probably do not see any existing files on your DJI MIC 2 (that's fine!). Just drop the firmware update file on the root (or main) directory of the DJI MIC 2 and you'll be fine. You can't hurt anything even if you mess up you can redo it.

FYI: If you haven't already I would also remove and reinstall the battery from you GoPro. That might clear up the GoPro issues....they're know to get hung all the time and normally removing/reinstalling the battery resolves a number of issues as well.

Thank you so much for your help.I have tried all of the fixes but It still doesn't work with the gopro. It will work on my insta 360. It's strange because I the gopro / dji combo worked well and in the middle of a shooting day I stopped working. I'm wondering if the connection via jack is dodgy? I've looked inside jack connection with my earpicker microscope but I'm not sure what it should look like inside to know whether the connection looks damaged or not.
