Not really. I am an instacart shopper, i just sit there and wait for the good 50+$ order ( otherwise i will drive 10$ deliveries 9 miles and lose money on gas a my car gets 18 mpg) You can be TOTALLY lazy and do this if you live in an area where people tip big :) Don't spread lies.

I definitely agree! Before I started doing Instacart grocery shopping was/is something I loved to do. I’ve been doing it for 1 week now and my first day it honestly wasn’t as easy as I assumed. It’s totally different shopping for someone else, especially 3 ppl at a time. The first day I just canceled my batch went back home and really watched and payed attention to the tutorials on how it works, little helpful tactics, etc. the very next day it was like I’ve been doing it for years. I’m at $1,000 one week later. If you have patience and enjoy grocery shopping you can definitely do Instacart! I highly recommend it to those types of people.
I’m in Connecticut and we get orders all the time over 40 and that’s nice since I lost my job due to corona. I make 200+ everyday ! People this is true!!

When you do taxes though it's definitely worth it because all the wear and tear etc gets deducted off your taxes. I bought a car for $2,000 and so far it's made me over $10,000.

Spaz Tek technically not supposed to be with anyone else because of the contract shopper’s sign. The shopper has to get a background check for safety/customer privacy issues. So you CAN shop with another shopper who has also gotten a background check but not anyone else including children

It’s probably protecting others from being infected by you, but not a good seal and so not protecting you as well as if it was sealed. Just be smart and careful out there! No hustle here. Honest way of making a living. I've been a shopper for over a year. There are many things to remember. Communication, quality, and speed. You don't just go to the store and get groceries. You have to pay attention to what your customer wants, the brands they prefer and replacements are very essential to a great rating. If you're not a patient person, this probably would not be for you. And also distance is a key factor. Some of the batches are 3 customers at one time. A B and C customer. Just giving you the real ins and outs of the job. Might get one that's 16 miles away to deliver. So, instacart pays well but there are other things to consider.
Speak The_truth what do you do if you're trying to find out if a replacement is ok with a customer and they're not responding in time? Do you leave without the item? FYI I haven't even started I'm just considering all problems.

I do Uber eats, Uber, Lyft, doordash, and postmates. I am signed up with Instacart, but the other services are easier and a mask is not as necessary for them. I don’t want to be wearing a mask all day.
I'm in Oakland/SF and you can't make money with Uber and Lyft. I made $125 today with Instacart for 5 hours. That's the same amount I would make driving people around. For instacart, the delivery distance is must shorter. You don't have to kill so many miles.
Thanks to both of you. I use Instacart at least once a month. Not to mention grubhub, ubereats and doordash. I do not own a vehicle and take public transit (not so much now because of the shelter in place). I live in San Jose so it can be difficult getting groceries w/o a vehicle. It is a huge help to me that I can hopefully have things delivered.
I lost my job too and got my account activated today! It was 2 hours before all the grocery stores closed and I was able to get one order in (literally I had another one and every single item was out of stock) but her order only took me a little over an hour and I made $28!!!! I was only able to do 1 order today but I am so freaking excited!

I’ve never instacart’ed before. I LOVE grocery shopping. My fiancé is forcing me to give in since the virus and being six months pregnant (weakened immune system). So thankful for this service, as well as the Walmart pickup! ***Update: I placed my IC order on April 1st for the next available date, April 6th. At 7pm on the 6th IC says they’re cancelling my order. So... I had to fancy a mask and go to the store myself 🤷🏻♀️👎🏼
@@StephanieKay1 it depends on the type of order, sometimes the instacart shopper shops for all the items themselves and delivers it, and sometimes the store bags the order up and the instacart shopper picks up the bags, scans them, and delivers the prepacked bags. If a store advertises delivery powered by instacart then sometimes the store will package the orders.

yup in 4 hours i made 150. Folsom Ca. i like that you can take a break after a batch and relax before the next batch but with everything closing i cant just walk in a coffee shop or whole foods to get a snack.
Plus your takeing a major health risk. Its difficult to complete orders. Because of limits and shortages. Instacart knows people are down. Over here its a double for 17 to 20 dollars and its real work.

I recently became an Instacart shopper and found out that Instacart is making money, not the shoppers. They pay $7/batch and to save money put two to three orders in one batch. And we, shoppers, are struggling to keep each order separate. People buy a lot of items and what we get is for doing 2-3 orders is $7. When I watched this video I thought I would make a good amount of money. If they put each order separate they have to pay $7 for each order so they don't want to do it. I just started four days ago and when I realized what they do I do not want to do it anymore. They are using us to make money.I doubt Instacart probably paid to these people to make this video so this way more people would join them. This message is a warning to whoever want to join Instacart. If you go for an hourly wage job you may get $7-$10/ hour. Here it takes hours to complete customer orders and Instacart pay you $7 for that. Some customers give you tip and some don't.
Not sure what’s you’re talking about I did an $80 order yesterday and it took me 1h 40minutes, which means I made $43/hour - I have multiple $40 orders in my screen right now, and they are $20+ Instacart payment PLUS TIP
I just started today and I accepted a batch and only then it said I had two customers , but at the same store, but I would have had to make two deliveries and one was 25 miles from the store!!! I think the whole thing would have paid about $23, but all they wanted was TP and sanitizing things that were not in store so the whole thing got cancelled and I made zero money but wasted 30 minutes of time and some gas. I may try again.

Instacart recent Instagram post shows a problem going on right now and even in NY . Alot of customers are NOT getting their groceries and it's being marked as "DELIVERED " unfortunately. I also just had this happen to me as well. I was super sad and their customer service due to Corona virus isn't available neither is their people who answer emails sent in off their website and the chat people are hanging up the chat sessions and even on myself MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS are being taken advantage of right now. It's even on the news. I can't get a hold of anyone, so now my bank Ill have to go to ,thank goodness its an available option at this point. So sad. I'm filling a police report also. Suggestion..USE A CREDIT CARD, because they might rip you off.😔😭🥺😔😭🥺😔😭🥺
Thanks for posting! Some stores have implemented forced distancing and have limited the amount of people allowed inside the store at one time. This has put a wrench in shoppers trying to get in and out as quickly as possible, thus making less money. Hope this all blows over soon!
Just a quick tip, I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but if your item does not scan and it's definitely the right item, you can scan the tag on the shelf. That is easier and faster than Force marking. Like you said packaging will sometimes change barcodes but the ones on the shelf are always consistent in my experience. Be well!
I did Instacart between 2017-2019 as both full time shopper and in store only. I had horrible experiences but I’m just one person. Take anyone’s experience with a grain of salt (including mine!) because every area will have different quality customers and different items in stock. I’m glad that she’s having a good experience so far!
She made $20... For that batch including tip. Remember she had $50 starting balance from the day before. Please remind people you are not allowed to CoShop and can be deactivated.

I shop 2 ailses @ a time ex: 2&3, 4&5, etc. Meats, Dairy, & Produce. I use insolated bag to carry items in as I shop both ailses, then I drop them into cart. (Leave cart at beginning of ailses). (Kroger).
Good video. If using this service, beware of scammers that switch out the products -- but the customer still pays full price. NEA Report had this happen and he looked at invoice and only received 60percent of what he paid for. I know your daughter would never steal, but some people will if not paying attention to details.

We have instacart in Chicago and everytime I'm in the stores and see them, they are NOT covered up. Their hands are exposed. They don't have masks. I wouldn't order from them. Reezy, according to the CDC your beard is way too big for a mask to be effective. CDC recommends people shave their facial hair to prevent coronavirus
I work for Instacart, but have stopped the last few weeks. It’ great money, but I am lucky to have a ft job as well where I still have my salary coming in. My health is more important right now.
I made 1000+ last week on this app. The trick is don’t do a batch that doesn’t pay 15 or more and finish any batch with 30 or less items under a hour that is shop and drop off. If they don’t have the item just put a replacement in there you think works even if they haven’t yet approved cause at the end of the day markets are empty and the less you find the less you get in a tip on the app. If they ask to cancel then take it off but most people are cool with the generic brand of things. MOST PEOPLE DONT TIP THOUGH WHICH SUCKS ESPECIALLY IN THIS PANDEPIC EVEN IF THEY ORDER 200+ in stuff and unload it

I’ve never instacart’ed before. I LOVE grocery shopping. My fiancé is forcing me to give in since the virus and being six months pregnant (weakened immune system). So thankful for this service, as well as the Walmart pickup! ***Update: I placed my IC order on April 1st for the next available date, April 6th. At 7pm on the 6th IC says they’re cancelling my order. So... I had to fancy a mask and go to the store myself 🤷🏻♀️👎🏼

@@StephanieKay1 it depends on the type of order, sometimes the instacart shopper shops for all the items themselves and delivers it, and sometimes the store bags the order up and the instacart shopper picks up the bags, scans them, and delivers the prepacked bags. If a store advertises delivery powered by instacart then sometimes the store will package the orders.

yup in 4 hours i made 150. Folsom Ca. i like that you can take a break after a batch and relax before the next batch but with everything closing i cant just walk in a coffee shop or whole foods to get a snack.

Double batches are overwhelming unless they pay well. I look at distance to deliver from store on batches. I avoid the low $7 batches no tips

Plus your takeing a major health risk. Its difficult to complete orders. Because of limits and shortages. Instacart knows people are down. Over here its a double for 17 to 20 dollars and its real work.

I recently became an Instacart shopper and found out that Instacart is making money, not the shoppers. They pay $7/batch and to save money put two to three orders in one batch. And we, shoppers, are struggling to keep each order separate. People buy a lot of items and what we get is for doing 2-3 orders is $7. When I watched this video I thought I would make a good amount of money. If they put each order separate they have to pay $7 for each order so they don't want to do it. I just started four days ago and when I realized what they do I do not want to do it anymore. They are using us to make money.I doubt Instacart probably paid to these people to make this video so this way more people would join them. This message is a warning to whoever want to join Instacart.
If you go for an hourly wage job you may get $7-$10/ hour. Here it takes hours to complete customer orders and Instacart pay you $7 for that. Some customers give you tip and some don't.
Not sure what’s you’re talking about I did an $80 order yesterday and it took me 1h 40minutes, which means I made $43/hour - I have multiple $40 orders in my screen right now, and they are $20+ Instacart payment PLUS TIP

I just started today and I accepted a batch and only then it said I had two customers , but at the same store, but I would have had to make two deliveries and one was 25 miles from the store!!! I think the whole thing would have paid about $23, but all they wanted was TP and sanitizing things that were not in store so the whole thing got cancelled and I made zero money but wasted 30 minutes of time and some gas. I may try again.

Instacart recent Instagram post shows a problem going on right now and even in NY .
Alot of customers are NOT getting their groceries and it's being marked as "DELIVERED " unfortunately. I also just had this happen to me as well.
I was super sad and their customer service due to Corona virus isn't available neither is their people who answer emails sent in off their website and the chat people are hanging up the chat sessions and even on myself MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS are being taken advantage of right now. It's even on the news.
I can't get a hold of anyone, so now my bank Ill have to go to ,thank goodness its an available option at this point. So sad. I'm filling a police report also.

Thanks for posting! Some stores have implemented forced distancing and have limited the amount of people allowed inside the store at one time. This has put a wrench in shoppers trying to get in and out as quickly as possible, thus making less money. Hope this all blows over soon!

I wish I knew Instacart before I spent $80 on JUST the delivery fee for an order to get groceries. We called someone we knew.

Just a quick tip, I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but if your item does not scan and it's definitely the right item, you can scan the tag on the shelf. That is easier and faster than Force marking. Like you said packaging will sometimes change barcodes but the ones on the shelf are always consistent in my experience. Be well!

I did Instacart between 2017-2019 as both full time shopper and in store only. I had horrible experiences but I’m just one person. Take anyone’s experience with a grain of salt (including mine!) because every area will have different quality customers and different items in stock. I’m glad that she’s having a good experience so far!

Nobody said $79 in one hour. $34 was the starting pay, $79 was the ending after the run. $79-$34 = $45 in an hour
She made $20... For that batch including tip. Remember she had $50 starting balance from the day before. Please remind people you are not allowed to CoShop and can be deactivated.

I shop 2 ailses @ a time ex: 2&3, 4&5, etc. Meats, Dairy, & Produce. I use insolated bag to carry items in as I shop both ailses, then I drop them into cart. (Leave cart at beginning of ailses). (Kroger).
Good video. If using this service, beware of scammers that switch out the products -- but the customer still pays full price. NEA Report had this happen and he looked at invoice and only received 60percent of what he paid for. I know your daughter would never steal, but some people will if not paying attention to details.

We have instacart in Chicago and everytime I'm in the stores and see them, they are NOT covered up. Their hands are exposed. They don't have masks. I wouldn't order from them. Reezy, according to the CDC your beard is way too big for a mask to be effective.

I work for Instacart, but have stopped the last few weeks. It’ great money, but I am lucky to have a ft job as well where I still have my salary coming in. My health is more important right now.
I changed my mind. My need for money is sending me back out to do Instacart. I only do a food co-op that is not a big store.
I made 1000+ last week on this app. The trick is don’t do a batch that doesn’t pay 15 or more and finish any batch with 30 or less items under a hour that is shop and drop off. If they don’t have the item just put a replacement in there you think works even if they haven’t yet approved cause at the end of the day markets are empty and the less you find the less you get in a tip on the app. If they ask to cancel then take it off but most people are cool with the generic brand of things. MOST PEOPLE DONT TIP THOUGH WHICH SUCKS ESPECIALLY IN THIS PANDEPIC EVEN IF THEY ORDER 200+ in stuff and unload it

You actually can see the payment before it gets released onto your account! It’ll just show as PENDING. Go to “earnings”, “current week”, then click on the day you’re shopping and the pay will show as “$0.00” and if click on that, you’ll see the amount l!
