Moveable 'Do' - lovely! In Western Nigerian church choirs we called it the 'Tonic Solfa'
Yes, I am familiar with "Tonic Solfa" Thank you Oluremi!
Which is easier in practice: usage of the tonic solfa or musical alphabets? I've used the solfa since I was a child, and it comes easy especially when playing in bands
Wow this is so so interested more grace to you all, how I wish am there with you
Thank you for watching
ROGER I AM YOUR BIG FAN BIG UP
Thank you! J. Paul!
Hello Dr Hale.. Thank you for the video. I would like to watch and practice how can I start to sing a song. Because mostly times I feel nervous and I thing I am not going to do a correct note in the beginning... And I wait to someone else do it first. I am in a choir. Thank you for your time
Muy buen trabajo
Muchas gracias
ME ENCANTA ,PERO EL FINAL NO LO ENTIENDO!NO PUDE TRADUCIRLO.MUCHAS GRACIAS MR ROGER¡
how are you! Sorry with the daily tasks. I need to know the layout of the first and second sounds.
Thanks Dr. Hale, I viewed #1-3, I took private vocal classes before, I think practicing with a group like this is good. I hope I could improve lol. I have low voice and could not sing high pitch, I mean higher keys, depressing! What exercises r good to improve?
excelente, me gustaria saber como trabajar con un coro de adolecentes la afinacion y ejercicios, si tienes algo te lo agradezco mucho
❤
I remember a voice warm up with a little jumping 👍
Jumping can help us loosen up and find our core strength!
Magníficas lecciones. Existe alguna posibilidad de escucharlas en español ? Los ejemplos son clarísimos pero me encantaría poder entender todas las explicaciones. Mi inglés es muy deficiente. Muchísimas gracias profesor.
Ahora se puede
Do you have any other ideas for altos?
do you have videos for professional sopranos?
Wonderful warmups! When I go from ascending lip trill to descending AAHH, my voice comes blasting out in a weird way, out of control. Any help for this?
@Barb Miller Thanks for your comment. Do you mean the pitches are not accurate or your tone quality is out of control?
Roger Hale: tone quality.
México 💘💘♥️♥️♥️🎤
Saya mengikuti latihan anda
Ples is posible the subtitulos write in spanish. Thanks so much.
Ahora se puede leer en Espanol.
My choir has been wanting to know the importance of doing the lip trill. Could you help me Sir Roger
@Roy Aboagye Here is a link to a scientific article that details the importance: www.vocapedia.info/_Library/JOS_files_Vocapedia/JOS-064-3-2008-339.pdf
But a simple description is that when your lips are vibrating you know that your vocal folds are vibrating. Also closing the vocal track makes it easier to sing over the break - - or passaggio. Here is a video I made on just lip trills.

The ah vowel...the ah vowel is such a nightmare for women’s choirs.
