Extremely helpful video, this answers a lot of my questions I had since I was looking into buying a engine harness!! 1 Question though... by buying OBD1 to OBD2 engine harness does that mean It plugs in to a OBD1 ECU and the rest of the harness will be plug in play for my OBD2 96 Integra GSR? Only thing I don’t understand is why I need a chassis adaptor for my 95 civic hatch. I thought the harness just plugged into my ecu. So I do absolutely need that chassis connector ?
Yeah you need it thats why its $85 extra at the checkout list of specification when looking at the engine harnesses or $150 if you looking for it seprately
For those asking, you need the sub harness. After you install it (92 Si), you will see that the harness needs to connect to connections under the dash. My question is about the extra wires. Are the other ends pinned to the ecu connectors, and if so, which ones?
Rewired my factory harness due to previous owner . Car ran fine before but distributor plug was all jacked up . Made a new harness from ecu strait to the obd1 distributor and now the tach jumps and it misfires. Question is do I need the shielded wire?. I used 18 gauge tezel wire

So what would I need to get to make this a reality and to make it as easy as possible? Would I need to go with a OBD1 ECU like a P28 or would I be able to stay with a ECU in the OBD2a? This is where I'm getting lost to be honest. I've tried looking for RUclips videos on this and everyone that I find they state that they're going to show a step by step, but they never do and it would be nice to find a video or guide that literally shows what is needed and what goes where and why. I mean I can understand that if I'm using a B series engine that came from a OBD1 car I think but this whole engine swap thing is new to me as far as Hondas go. I'm swapping a b16a2 into my 98 civic dx hatch I have a stock obd2b engine harness and the a p2t ecu but only 2 of the engine harness plugs go into the ecu and one is missing is this for an interior harness

I figured out which two were in the engine bay… so where does the third wire go???

Obd2 vtec b series harness.forget about the vtec plugs.theyll be there for future .or if its time to sell your harness youll have buyers..versus parting out and selling a tucked harness with no vtec plugs wouldnt sell..
Quick question, I’m looking at your p14 pdm in my Honda with hondata v3. Will your “can” plug on the dash display option fit directly to an aem cd5 ? Or will I need to wire the 2 can wires into the hondata v3 as well. Thanks

2years later not sure..if you started the project but what you was saying was exactly what he showed in the picture..the obd1 is the ecu side so yes .and the engine connectors are obd2 so yes.. this will work to install into ef/crx just make sure you get the chassis adapter harness to complete the connection..
I have a 00ex with a 00 GSR swap. Currently running the OEM EX harness, it doesn’t have the crank position sensor on the harness to connect to the sensor near the crank. So I’m getting a p1362 code. Do these rywire harness have the crank position sensors on them? (I am using an OBD2-OBD1 adapter to run my OBD1 s300 ecu
Who would dislike this video? These guys are saving us from dealing with chewed up harnesses. And giving us a fresh harness to use in our 25 y/o cars.
But everything else about the car is chewed up.
