Wow I have been looking for this forever! Thanks for uploading! Yeah, it's lip synched but so what? I've only seen her do that twice in her whole career and she is one of the best live performers out there so it doesn't matter. Almost all halftime shows are lipped anyways. It was still beautiful.
YAY!! I was there, Love LeAnn...Love MY DALLAS COWBOYS = AMERICA'S TEAM. BTW, while this loving performance was happening two of the Cowboys (LaROi Glover and Dexter Coakley) got into a fist fight in the locker room. The Cowboys came back out and beat the shit out of the Redskins. YAY!!! Also, LeAnn was the Cowboys anthem singer in the early 90's before she made it big and YES..she is REAL Cowboys fan. YAY!!!
I was the assistant audio guy on this show and listened to her rehearse at least ten times through the whole thing. I was able to plug headphones directly into her UHF Microphone receiver and listen to her and every note was spot on! Was busy during the real show so didn't get to monitor that one... This was a lipsynced performance due to timing issues with live sound in an arena. A couple of other interesting facts- when she came back out in the black outfit she was supposed to be on the top of the stage in the back but the manlift broke during the performance and she had to come back out on stage level. Everyone was amazed that she dodged the cheerleader kicks...you can see her dodging for just a split second on this video. Also during the loadout the aerialists were taking their spool motors of about 2000 feet of heavy guage cable on a pallet on wheels and we hooked it to the back of a golf cart to pull up the ramp exit. The driver had his cart in reverse and nearly took my hand off when the cart jerked backwards- but I got my hand out in time. Big props to Leann for pulling off a performance with no evidence of technical glitch.
Brad Bogle I’ve always been curious as to why the singers rehearse vocally if the plan is to lip sync? I’m not criticizing just trying to understand. Thanks! I enjoyed the behind the scenes tidbits.
@@nysongbird if they really sing it then the recording is a technicality- if they don’t sing it you can tell- especially timing and singing everything on the recording so they have to rehearse.
Most Halftime Shows are lip synced for the cheerleaders and dancers, they create their routines based on the Album versions and Artists tend to stray a little when doing songs on their own. So it helps the routine stay on track with the counts, make sense ?
I've also heard they may do blends...like there is a recording going, but the artist may be singing as well in case there are technical difficulties...the song just doesn't stop.
