VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
This school bus conversion was built and is owned by one of Tiny Home Tours team members. Chris picked up his bus in Florida and spent the last 3 years building out this skoolie build. It was built to be 100% off the grid with 200 gallons of fresh water, 1700 watts of solar, 900ah of lithium battery storage, 29 quft of fridge/freezer storage and so much more. It took a little extra time as Chris lived in the bus while it was still under construction and traveled a year in the bus before the final stages of the build was complete. The main reason for this was he was building online brands and had to travel to do so. This video gives you a decent idea of what it takes to build a complete custom school bus conversion.

At tiny home tours, we don't just talk about tiny home living, we live it! This is Chris's bus, the content manager for tiny home tours!
Need inside tour
@@MissEmmyluv I agree! After all that work I would love a much slower inside view. From what I could tell it's beautiful but didn't get to see much. That was a major job done on this bus.
Sure, some live it, but you also show people who fake it to make a buck off people. You know give up your mortgage so you can take another on a cramped space with no true land or anything aka another BS american dream
Show me a video where someone is faking it.
@@TinyHomeTours just ignore the negative people my husband have personally followed this couple on their main RUclips channel from the bus buy all the way through they are awesome
My husband is a master craftsman builder of over 60 years he and I watch this together and we were both genuinely very very very impressed. True craftsmanship to build this rig, on every level a true MasterChef of it all and I love the color is black rocks kudos kudos kudos to the cameraman builders and the owner👏👏💕💕
I’m no builder but even I can tell they did a beautiful and thorough build. Wow! Impressive to be sure and I watch a lot of video builds.
I start to.work at 5 Years old of course
İts good

Absolutely amazing. I've got 20 years in construction so I understand the planning, hard work and dedication it takes to complete a project of any type or size, not to mention all the different skill sets it takes. Fabrication, welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, all done at a high level. Very impressive. Thanks for taking the time to record all of it for our education and enjoyment, good luck with 0201, cheers!
The manual labor is the hard part.
Literally no one asked lol
I've watching hundreds and hundreds of conversion videos and this was the best. The video showed all the interesting and difficult work it takes. I loved the action. Whoever did the video, kudos!
Wow, what an eye-opener for me! I recently purchased a 34-foot 1966 International "Rolling Home" with a raised roof. The raise was done in the late 1970s and I wasn't there to witness the event but this video made it all very real for me. My rig is a little more elaborate in that there are actually three roof levels (not two) because the rear one-third of the bus was raised even higher to accommodate the second-floor Master Bedroom. I am rebuilding this wonderful relic and adding many modern upgrades, such as a composting system, mini-split system, roof deck, rear deck, bay window and possibly a hot tub. This video is a great inspiration for me and thanks for posting!
Wow! Good luck! Would love to see pics of that some day.
Will you post a vid on youtube? solar panels?
My mouth dropped when this beautiful schoolie was pulling out of the garage after it’s paint job. WOW
Mine too! Very nice!

Love the dog towards the end. What happened to Chris’s GSD??? The bus turned out great!!!!
love how this video was only about DOING the work....not a bunch of talking...just work and skills
Master craftsmanship at its finest. Well done gentlemen oh, well done.
Wow one of thee most coolest school bus conversions I’ve ever seen the amount of time and effort put into this is just astonishing and it looks sooooo good
All of can say is “WOW” I am blown away by this build! All of you who worked on this should be so proud of yourselves!!! Amazing job from start to finish! It’s beautiful, congratulations 🍾🎉🎊🎈
Wow. The craftsmanship and care in this build are phenomenal. You all should be extremely proud of the work you do. 10/10.
I was there for the entire build and before that. You have built yourself something simply wonderful. All that hard work has paid off.
Thanks for sticking around!
I know nothing about conversations nor carpentry, but I can see the level of care that went into this! Congratulations!
I was very amazed on how it's been built on. Brilliant! From the interior to the monotone colors I actually been speechless from the finished product. It is an inspiration for motivation.
I have watched mini bus conversions over the last three years and this is by far the number one. The only regret is I wish they would’ve gone a little slower on the finish project walked around the whole bus slowly and then walk through it slowly. That full view of the bus slowly done is like the icing on the cake. But no matter this was still by far the best ever. Congratulations you have completed a beautiful beautiful job!!!!
This was, hands down, the best van/bus or any other vehicle build I have ever seen!
No, we don't need to know the blow by blow, the difficulties, or even the thought processes that went into the decisions.
We can see the results.
I've had enough if the other stuff!
May you live a wonderful life in your new home for many years to come!
Oh yeah! And it's a smart bus!
WOW!!!! I am almost speechless!!! The thought, Talent & Creativity, that went into this conversion is nothing short of Amazing!!! You all are just amazing at your craft/art!!!!
If I get a bus, I want these guys building my bus. What a professional bunch. Great job.
This is a beautiful home. Not many people are able to do what you have accomplished here. Be happy and much respect.
I love the time lapse but watching every episode showed the love that went into the making of your bus. It is beautiful Thanks for sharing all of the hard work that went into every hard thought out decision. Stay safe and keep the videos coming.
I'm always so impressed by people who are handy with their hands. Just look at that bus! Amazing. I can barely hammer a nail into the wall!
Boy, you've come a long way since your original van! Show's the power of determination and perseverance.

This took a lot of time, patience and effort the labor rate alone would be insane on this build
Labour ? We that know how , we do it all ourself. A friend or 2 to help. Yes your so right , if we has to pay a welder fabrication and pay tradesman , wow that would cost well over 100 grand to build I. Labour alone I'm sure. That's why it's best to build your own. Build it strong like this. Today's coach's are so cheaply made. Class a RVs are so weak. This is made to last. Best RV you could possibly have right here
@@eddiespagetti8395 True. If a person buys a pre-built RV, their going to spend a lot of labor time repairing it after every trip, might as well build it with a strong foundation yourself. The pre-built are made so fragile, it's a quick buck for the seller.
@@intuitivebreach8969 oh yes I see it all around me. I live in am RV resort. Motorhomes and RV trailers . Many new ones I find leaks and show clueless owners their brand new 150 thousand dollar trailer has leaks. I find many screws uncaulked and terrible job from factory on caulk. Silicone is not good caulk. Worst thing am RV owner can do is use silicone caulk. It doesn't even seal or bond to fiberglass or metal the way polyurethane does. Walls made out of crap wood , it's useually 1 inch by 3 inch wood is very weak . RVs need to be built like a house , made to last. Wise man builds his own tiny home on a frame with wheels to make it mobile . Even the RV trailer frames are mostly Mickey mouse light gauge metal and can not handle the weight of a strong build . Most likely custom frame is needed with at least dual or triple axel go bear that heavy weight . RVs are so weak . I can find leaks in evey RV literally evey one will have a leak of some kind. Minor drips but still.a drip is a leak. A drip is what causes long term damages.
@@eddiespagetti8395 I knew about the issue, but I didn't know it was that bad; it's definitely worse than I thought. Also part of the reason I have been looking for a short school bus or shuttle bus to convert and build from the ground up. I've walked inside pre-builds and almost all the material looks like a fake make believe plastic wood. Nothing that is truly sturdy. If you've ever seen a semi-tractor (13'6ft) going under a low clearance rail road bridge (11-12'6ft) and watch how the trailer receives an immidiate shave on impact as the top peeles all the way back, that's how I imagine a pre-built RV lol.
@@intuitivebreach8969 oh ya. You know it. Like peel a lid off a can of oysters. So easily peels apart. RVs are so weak. Great you know this truth and a school bus is great project. They are made heavy duty Frame and meant for mileage. Custom make your home and use quality wood And that schoolie will out last any RV without a doubt. I think schoolies are best way to have an RV, live in rv. When you live In a reg class a like I do you learn just how weak these RVs are as well. Everything is made to break and be replaced. Big buisness. A schoolie that is built strong will outlast ANY brand name RV or trailer on market..sad many people spend big money on rv and really think they have a quality unit . So foolish really. New does not mean quality. Even quality as the dealer says quality built is a LIE. There are NO heavy duty made strong ,made to last rv on earth . Yuppies think their new RV is so good. So nice and Shiney , look at it shine . This is how nightmares started. From RVs and clueless owners believe they have a solid RV.
Love the bus house😍😍😍😍😍
Me too
I have loved watching Chris through his journey and incarnations, what a truly dedicated person! Very happy to see him working with a like-minded community!
Inside tour please, awesome job. You'll did extremely great job. Overwhelmed
Check the top line of the description of this video :-)
Really enjoyed this. I felt that I was part of the project. I especially loved how the dog was involved too even during his convalescent time!
What a fun time lapse. As I was watching it I was remembering the different videos of the build that were incorporated into this time lapse.
Craftsmanship and men and women who do this are the backbone of America. Respect, gratitude, and good money should be paid to them every day.
What a funny song choice lol. “Money can’t buy you nothin’ “ except this big a** custom bus and all the tools to get the job done 😂
It’s beautiful though 👍✨
They use this song on a ton of videos about their skoolie build too. I swear this is the 3rd or 4th time I have heard it.
It’s probably just some random ass royalty free music lmao
Id say money was 20% of this build. Hard work was 80%.
@@leazyfpv5521 sure but that 20% could still be like $100K :/
I love this home. Thank you for showing beginning to end 🙏
Team work, you all work great together. I love how I was able to see it from the start to the finish. Beautiful work guys.
You owe a huge thanks to Jim and Wes cause there's hardly a video without 1 of the 2 in it. They're beautiful people too ❤ help you so much. It's a gorgeous build have some fun on the road and enjoy the completion.
This is an awesome home Chris, love the decor and exterior colours are fabulous. The master of perfect editing bus tours without feeling sea-sick x.
I like the way that they painted it. It makes it look modern. At first look you wouldn't even think it was an old school bus.
OMG! I have not seen anything as detailed and awesome! Perfection! I want one!!! 😁
I enjoyed watching this very much. The love and the creativity just shows. So smart to raise the roof.
Beautiful paint job. And so cool that there are only a few windows so you have some privacy.
Well done!!!
Just what I needed for the plan of my project
Oim
The dogs steals the video !! amazing they have a bubble window!!!! superb!! 🤗
I'm so happy that you were able to finally finish your bus conversion both interior and exterior. It looks great!! :)
The view of your shop area with the built-in kitchen pretty much tells the tale. What a commitment this project was!
Oh woah !! That was amazing transformation in motion from nothing to total badass !! Job well done boys. Was joy to watch. Looks fantastic 💗
I want one so bad absolutely beautiful
Chris, I’ve been watching ur videos since ur van days. I must say, u and ur team did the damn thing with ur skoolie bus.. Idk what else to say jus wow amazing.. awesome home on wheels 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks bud!
For me, this was one of the best ive seen. We would live happily and permanently in something like this.
Nice to actually see someone putting one together. Only ever find videos of people saying they're going to do it (and usually never make it pass that part) or it's already been done.
That is one conversion anyone could live a happy life in. Great video
🗣I love it!! To Actually see the build and the hard work put into it from start to finish inside and out. The kitchen, lots of drawers for storage, ceiling work and the space in the back where you just step up to get into bed are my favorites. I saw your other video when you were showing you Home to us.Kudos to you and your crew great job! A+ 🏆
Шикарный дом на колесах, и главное на порядок дешевле чем купить новый такой))
Now that it's all said and done you kind of forget all the steps that went into this build. Then watching it back in this time lapse video it all comes back to you and Wow, that was a lot of hard work. Turned out amazing though. I loved this video. Hell, even listening to the jams on here made it worth the watch.😎👍 Thanks Chris, Love ya! Give some lovin to Kobuk for me too.😘💓🐾
It always seems impossible until it's done. Good job guys
I'm going to Skooliepalooza in a couple weeks (Feb 2021) and I hope to see this bus or some like it because I just bought a similar base model (Blue Bird All American RE) and about to get started building and there are some great ideas in this video!!
Where is Skooliepalooza at this year?? I’m going to be building one of these very soon and I’d love to come get ideas and talk with everyone.
Take care and good luck on your bus!!

I have followed you from the beginning days of Zep to this. This is so impressive! Love the map ceiling & all the details of this build.
Awesome work! 👍🤗🏆
WOW! Beautiful work! I could live happily ever after in this great little home. Thanks for sharing .
Beautiful job.
This- this right here is why I love men. Passion, work ethic, creativity. The drive to endure deep in their marrow.
I wish you had shown more of the finished product. That part felt rushed.
it’s a detailed video already out.. that’s probably why! 💕

Beautiful job this looks like it rolled right out of a RV build site great job to all
wow.... just a gorgeous job, that things a beast.... i LOVE IT...
I love watching these, especially of conversions of this caliber.
Especially when you want to do the same thing
Now its lost its school bus color it now looks fantastic Chris.
So beautiful! I can only imagine what that would cost if you had to pay for some else to do all of the labor.
thats the problem for most folks ... either you dont have the money or the skills this will be a dream for ever
I’m usually not impressed by school bus tiny houses but this guy threw it out of the park freaking amazing
With love and respect to everyone from Azerbaijan 🎁🌹🇦🇿 It was a great video, and I wish my neighbor 🌹 success

Freaking love the finished look! Been waiting for this. It is so nice, you have to look closely to see is a school bus it now looks like a high-end motor coach especially with that minimalist finish and the blingy rims.
Wow! You’re right! I just now got to the part where they drive the bus out. It doesn’t look like a bus anymore!
Show of creativity, professionalism and good taste.. congratulations.
What’s your contact info if I wanted to do something like this? You guys did phenomenal job way way better than these RV companies would ever do! Love it !!! Very motivating!!!
Very nice work gentlemen!!! Tackling a project like this is no joke!
Thats a nice Skoolie!
This is an unbelievable job. Well done. Time and money that it must have taken on this project seems a lot. I wish I had the time and money to take on this type of project. I would learn so much.

I HAVE ASKED THIS QUESTION A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE ON DIFFERENT VLOGS WHEN I HEAR A CERTAIN SONG BUT NO ONE HAS EVER ANSWERED ME SO I AM GONNA ASK AGAIN IN HOPES THAT THIS TIME IT WILL BE DIFFERENT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO SINGS THE SONG THAT STARTS AT 5:55 AND ENDS AT 9:35 IN THIS VLOG?????? PLEASE
I was thinking the same thing! Had me in a trance a lil bit! 😂😂😂😂😂

What a talented team. My hat goes off to all the men involved. That being said, I would have had to put in one slide (even a small one:-) just to be a show off. Seriously, you dudes did an amazing job. If you were my Son I'd be really proud of you young man! -keith
Wow fantastic job and revamping the van. Looks better than new and the interior is so nice. Wish you had taken a few more seconds to admire the inside. Great job and thumbs up. Know a lot of hard work and worth to watch.
That thing turned out bad ass! I personally don't like the black and white but it is what they wanted and that is what matters.
Awesome build. I came here to get some creative ideas for a conversion i've been dreaming of. However, the music is fucking awesome! I was literally dancing while watching your video. By far one of the best vids i've seen. No unnecessary talking, random host asking too many questions, just great work and great music. Thanks for sharing!
Wow!! Dream bus! Magnificent job. What a talented bunch of guys that created this gem.
Thank you for taking the time to choose cool tracks for your video. Kudos to the musicians, etc. 🎶
Wow impressive 😊 just proves with skill and all the trades pulling together for a common goal how you can repurpose an old school bus to look sensational.
