For anyone wondering, yes, Aer Lingus 757s usually had PW2000s, however this one, EI-CJX, has RB211s. This is the only Aer Lingus 757 with RB211s in their fleet.
@@sjnavaid well this particular aircraft was with many other airlines before Aer Lingus, including Thomas Cook and WestJet, so I’m assuming the engine type didn’t mean much to Aer Lingus when they purchased her.
just 100? Wouldn't they also have made you swipe your card in case you need the life jacket, oxygen and lavatory. COME FLY WITH ME might claiim their Omar Baba was based on Stelios at Easyjet. But I think he could also have been part Michael O Leery
Judging the distance she used about 700 meters of runway. Ironically about 15 years ago,i stood right in the same place and watched a first choice 757 position to Dublin, very short takeoff run +1 to the Ferrari of the skies

wow, very interestign. any reason to why this one wasnt fitted w the P&W's?

@@757Superfan ah, makes sense
We only wet leased the 757s them didnt purchase thats why it did not matter @@757Superfan
If that had been a Ryanair Flight. The crew would have sold 100 scratch cards by now.
And lots of rip-off toys costing about €720 per thing
haha, brilliant

Must have been empty
They would be doing the safety demo about now too, you know after they have taken off 🙄😂
Aerlingus have very good pilots - fast but comfortable flight ever time i flew with them.
ahh that's good. thanks for watching
asl operate the aircraft with Aerlingus flight attendants
Love the 757, looks perfect in the Aer Lingus livery. An aircraft I'd love to fly on some day.
yeah, its awesome
Never going to happen
Wow insane! 757 never ceases to amaze me. Perfect video!
thank you. its a great aircraft
I love Aer Lingus!✈️
you're among many fans, thanks for watching
MT Aviation your welcome.👍
Same I love it to
I love them there planes are very comfortable
Very proud of my national airline 🇨🇮☘️
The best commercial jet of all time imo, even as they are retiring there's no direct replacement. Looks absolutely stunning in the AL livery😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤
Sure does, thanks for watching
Excellent video!, she reached for the sky, like a homesick angel!
yeah, poor bird
Dublin has that effect on me too!
haha yeah
You want to leave one of the cultural capitals of the world in hurry? Your loss...
@@spybaz I lived there for 10 years. No loss. Will only go to Dublin when I am catching a flight, and that's the flight crew for me!
I remember when Aer Lingus were still using the BAe 146 - boy, they threw those around like a fighter jet!
they've just started using them again for the LCY route
MT Aviation That makes sense 👍🏻
The good “14 sick”. Great aircraft. City jet now operating DUB-LCY in EI colors, we’ll away strip actually.
Judging the distance she used about 700 meters of runway.
Ironically about 15 years ago,i stood right in the same place and watched a first choice 757 position to Dublin, very short takeoff run +1 to the Ferrari of the skies
a ferrari indeed
Wow Impressive! Very early and fast Rotation! Liked!
That thing could depart from an air craft carrier
yeah, and it could almost take off from a helicopter pad
Yer but it was empty.......
OMG! So short until rotate! 757 is like racing car! 🚘👍
it certainly is
The 757 sure looks great in the Aer Lingus livery :)
it does, thanks for watching
The 757 has very powerful engines. This one must be quite light as well. Anyways great footage 👍🏻
they do indeed. yeah, it was only going to shannon, thanks
very powerful take off
indeed it was
Beautiful❤️
thanks for watching
Possibly Repositioning to Shannon empty . Must be fun on them empty flights putting the old girl through her paces.
yeah it was and i bet they were fun. shame they're no longer around
I remember as kids we called Aer Lingus, Aer Fungus, but they are a good airline.
thats quite funny
It was going to shannon for maintenance, its usually based in shn, no passengers, baggage and light fuel load.
Best airline😜
Wonderful as usual really love your work.
thank you
Cool.
Very nice!
cheers
I was flying delta from Dublin and we done exactly that no stop just powered on in our 767-400
ahh cool
That was not 15 seconds IT WAS 10
Nice one! Must’ve been a light load on this flight.
yeah, it was a ferry flight
Probably had work on it then had to head to Shannon, It could have flown to Hartford, Toronto, etc because sometimes aer lingus uses the 757.
yeah, thanks for watching
The irish ...they know how to fly a plane
they certainly do
But not really how to drive a car.
That's about all they can do . And the pilots are Brits anyways
Chill out Patrick
@@patrickkeaney9550 Idiot.
Ok, so they are rotating 1000ft past the touchdown marks, and runway starts 1000ft before touchdown marks, that’s 2000ft takeoff roll!!!!
Great one
thanks sandra
Nice catch
thanks
awesome mate
cheers
Oh wow
Love Aer Lingus also.....
great airline so i don't blame you
Woah! Super Video! Liked! 👍
thanks
Had to be positioning to Shannon..
it was
Hello. May I ask, what does a "rocket takeoff" term means for airplanes? Thank you :)
Really quick and steep takeoff
Air lingus make the fastest planes in the world!
They didn't make it though :P
Aer Lingus is an airline
What do spool up and rotate mean
I thought the Aer Lingus 757s didnt use the RB211's!
only 1 does, EI-CJX. EI-LBR/LBS/LBT use the PW2000
i was gonna say! that’s a rare sighting!
I didn't really have a good time on Aer Lingus. An 8 hour flight to Orlando was not the best.
ahh right, that's not good,
Aer lingus are a bit more expensive than Ryan Air but well worth it for the service they provide! Aer lingus are a great airline.
yeah, id agree
Well you get what you pay for
2 wings on a bit of tubing
indeed
My favourite airline to fly with.
Maybe the aircraft just wasnt heavy in fuel🤷♂️
Yeah, it was very light
Stupid question I know but how do you know that its empty? Great video btw. 🌟
you can tell by how quickly it got up, but flight radar said it was going to shannon, so its just a ferry flight with no bags or passengers on
@@MTAviation Thanks for replying and not making me feel like a complete numpty! 🙂
Probably going for maintenance to shannon
If you look closely enough you can tell by her stance she's sitting higher than she would if fully laden
Looks more like a jet take off
I don't understand all I see is a B757 - 200 Aer Lingus taking off
In simple terms it's rare to see a plane take off that quick especially in Dublin
Must not be a long flight then
about 20/25 minutes to shannon
Gorgeous machine to this day, Ferrari performance.
yeah, power!!!
Subaru performance 😅
*AHEM* Rolls Royce performance.
Wasn't flying to Brussels then...
important Irish im from galway!!
Dr Hyprisyo
Me too. But we all have to be from somewhere.
Could be worse I suppose.
Im from Clare
Why was this in my recommended
no idea, but i'm glad you watched it
I think I was in that I don't but it in Dublin airport
Caolàn games where were you going
ATC '' aer Lingus XxXX you are clear for take off''
Pilot, roger
+2 secs, pilot, '' V2''
+3secs, pilot,' 'rotate' ' 😂
haha, yeah
Why am I watching this 🤔
i dont know, but seeing as though you have, thank you and there are plenty more videos to watch on our channel
Luv to fly
Probably because you clicked on it.
Cork has a very short runway aswell.....landings there are fucking hatchet
Which arapot is thos
dublin
Huablin.
Rotate
When I flew with Aer Lingus, we almost crashed..
thats not very good
Chris van den heuvel ??? What happened? When? Route? Aircraft?
Bullshit.
