The following season they finished 2nd but then the season after finishing 2nd, they finished 11th and then 13th. The 11th finish alone, would have gotten him sacked in todays era. The 13th position finish would have pushed the owners over the edge. No one gets that kind of time anymore. No one. Not unless there's actual improvements being made. We will never know how Man United could have been, had they kept Moyes or van Gaal or José or even Olé and ten Hag. We'll never know.
