- This evening, I will be testing the basic function of the espresso machine from Gemilai, model CRM 3145.
The most important function of the CRM 3145 is the automatic milk frothing function.
The CRM 3145 has PID for both espresso extractions as well as temperature control for the milk steaming.
It is programmed to stop frothing once the milk temperature reaches 60°C.
However, while making this video, I realise that the milk frothing when done concurrently while extracting espresso shot does not stop by itself when it reaches the temperature of 60°C.
I think when performing both tasks simultaneously, the program has to prioritise one of the function, in this case, as shown in my video, it prioritise espresso extraction. it shows the shot timer instead of the milk temperature.
I will continue to explore the function of the CRM 3145 from Gemilai.
Hi bro. Really like your video. Well explained. I have Gemilai CRM3145 also and your video was very helpful. ❤ from Malaysia
Thank you for watching my videos! And I am glad that it is helpful to you!
I'd switch back to WDT if I were you. Maybe one of the spiralized variety.
Hello, I have a question: Can the machine be set to temperatures greater than ninety for light roasts?
Which one make nice espresso. 3149 or rancillio silvia?
It's not really machine dependant. All makes great espresso. You need reasonably fresh coffee beans and a good grinder.
its hard to find review in english for this model. thank you!!
Always welcome!
Approx How many min. Did it took for the steam to get ready?
Hi! Just curious on how we're really supposed to turn off this machine? Do we just turn it off right away?
Hey , which is a better machine 3145 or 3149
Does the 3145 have an adjustable PID for the grouphead? And also does it have an OPV?
Hi! Which version of the machine do you have? 220V50Hz or 110V60Hz? I recently got the wrong version of the machine (220V/50Hz) and my wall plug is 110V/60Hz. I could get a voltage step-up to get it to 220V/60Hz. You think the 220V50Hz CRM3145 could work with a 220V60Hz plug? Thanks in advance!
Yes it will work. My version is the 220V/50hz version. It works well with my 240V 50/60hz wall socket.
Hi. From Malaysia here, just want to ask, how you find this machine reliability after few months usage? Is it consistency not an issue? And for pressure during extraction, is it pass 11 bar?
It is a reliable machine and now the machine is running in a breakfast cafe for a month now. It's a work horse. As for the pressure, use the coarseness of the grind to control.
So a couple of weeks in, how are you liking this machine?
I will be doing a 2nd video soon.

Isn't using filtered water better for the coffee as well as the machine?🤓
Well yes and no. It has to be a good mix of good minerals such as Na, Mg and K and minimal Ca. Filtered water don't necessarily have these.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore thank you!
Have you brewed coffee without fluoride in it? Singapore has fluoride in tap and most water filters don't take out fluoride.
