Correction: The 2013 and older T6 and T5 models have a *6* speed Aisin Warner automatic transmission. AND the T6 is an INLINE turbo 6 cylinder engine. By the way, I own a Metallic Copper 2012 T5 and LOVE it. It's smooth & powerful (pushing 280 lb/ft of torque), fuel efficient (33 mpg on the highway) and a beautiful interior. If you're in the market...get one.
I agree! I have a solid black 2012 S60 T5 and it is very fuel efficient! Absolutely beautiful! I'm glad you added the comment about the T6 being inline, I was thinking the exact same thing!
6 SPEED transmission not 5. Killin me kid. I own this car, and the accelerator is sensitive at both low and high speeds, one of my favorite aspects of the car. These vehicles aren’t perfect, but the engine is a beautiful thing; perfect mix of luxury and sport is correct. One tip for buyers- the windshield is a problem and will cause water leaks on this model, class action lawsuit likely forthcoming. If windshield is properly sealed at the top edge you have yourself a great car.
Yea. I can approve windshield problems, almost all volvo Saint-gobain windshield on new cars comes with this problem. I know this because I'm windshield exchanger. If you have this problem or wanna check it. Just put your hand inside car on windshield middle top and gently push, if you can see movement from outside, get a professional mechanic and he can take out windshield without braking it and apply with new windshield glue. Sorry for my English and grammar.
I'd say a 2012 S60 T6 at 55k runs anywhere from $11-14k. This also depends on if the car has City Safety, BLIS (blind spot monitor), heated seats, etc. The T6 will run a little more expensive saying that at 55k miles maybe around $13.5-16k. It also depends on what state you are in.
I have a 2012 and did plenty of research on prices and the T5 and T6 S60s (with and without packages and add-ons, etc) before we purchased one! I love mine and it's great!
Personally I wouldn’t get the t5 I’d get the t6 3.0 L.. and you don’t have to slide the key to start the car it can start as long as you have the key with you.
Not that its extremely important or anything, but it is just a simple push button start. You dont have to insert the key to turn it on. Good video though!
@@jackwelsby2455 yup Jack, the key less start (no need to put the key in the fob) is an option you can get. Mine is the same. Didn't get that option so I need to put it in too.
Nobody ever said I couldn't afford the car. I'm not the proud owner of a new Mercedes. The crappy 2012 Volvo remains in my garage. I wouldn't give it away let alone sale to another to experience the same issues I had with it.
Actually, in 2013 models and older (with that type of key) you do need to put the key in or else the lcd (where the speedometer is) will tell you to “insert key”. I know because I own a 2012 s60 T5...
É pessima a manual pelo menos. Queimei a minha em 5 anos e apenas 80 000KM! Depois de trocá-la coloquei o Polestar Perfromance e aliviou, mas qualquer dia perto de 200 000KM conto com uma nova caixa de embreagem
I had a 2012 S60 for 8 years. I loved it, my favorite car so far. Aside from regular maintenance no problems. Last month it started cutting off randomly giving an oil pressure warning. Took to 3 different mechanics that said they couldn’t find anything wrong, long story short.. it needed a new engine that cost as much as the car was worth. It had 110,000 miles on it. I discovered it’s common with this year model. My opinion, don’t buy it.

Zachary Person do u to commend to buy a second hand 2013 s60 t5 with 50000miles? I m not sure if it is fuel efficient
ALL 5 and 6 cylinders have AIsin 6 speeds, all the way through 2016
Best sleeper ever, especially the T5, as nobody knows how fast it can rip the asphalt ...

Hey man I know it's been a few years since this video was uploaded but what exhaust do you have/ did you have on it?
Would this car at 7500$ and 55k miles be a good deal? Looking for a first car.
I think that’s pretty good. I’m not a Volvo expert tho
Matthew Winecki is it a 2012? If so avoid it. The t5 has big oil consumption issues.

Ask whats wrong with it or get it throughly inspected by a macanic. That is a bit too cheep for that car.
Picking up this car soon thank you!!!
Someone is selling this car with 150k miles. Would it be a misfire to buy ? I don’t want problems
Is it a good car for 7k with 140k miles? Can these cars go over 300k easily with no problem?
For sure
Just got one for 8k at 130k miles, great purchase, I hope you got yours
I love the exterior paint and interior leather color.
Are these cars reliable and are they foreign like bmw or foreign like honda...expensive or ok
thank you for the review

Do the rear seats fold down? If so, how?
I want to know the same. ? Did u figure it out ,,

Nope

What's with the weird "U" on the license plate?
Why would they not make this in a manual? Why??
Save money on production probably
Thinking of buying one of these. What's the 0-60 for the T5?
about 7.2~7.5
Hope you didn't make the same Mistake I did --- If so google "2012 T5 S60: Oil Guzzler and No Warning! " and "TJ29871"

Last year Volvo had a V6 was 1990. So no its a in line 6 for theT6! And auto gearbox is 6 speed and not 5!
This car infront look like merc A250 2014 and rear look like honda civic ex 2006

That's an option. My volvo the key needs to be in for it to start. :)

"V6"??
The t6 is not v6 its inline
i6 is faster than v6 right?
A turbo charger just sounds turbine with exhaust fumes. Has nothing to do with having to keep your oil changed often. Why do you say that ?
Your joking , precision bearings under high heat that require high quality clean oil all the time.

Good car, but that license plate is a monstrosity. Sweden does not have ü in the alphabet and the font and spacing is way off

I hate black wheels. It is the ugliest thing you can do to your cars.
I am reading these vehicles are not reliable.
there's no such thing as a 5 cylinder engine...
