- Get ready for the next entry in the Ridge Racer series. Ridge Racers for the PSP maintains the series' trademark drift-based handling and introduces enhanced car design and 24 intense circuits. In addition to new tracks, the game includes courses from previous Ridge Racer games, such as Seaside Route 765, Crimsonrock Pass, and Greenpeak Highlands. Beat the clock in the time attack mode or test your racing skills against up to eight players in wireless battle mode.

I hope the ridge racer on ps vita will be as good as this one for the psp. Because ever since ridge racer on psp, ridge racer has been crap. I remember playing it for the first time on psp and this game was a breath of fresh air, very innovative. fingers crossed.

RUclips automatically lowers the bitrate based on the resolution the video is uploaded at. The recorded bitrate was probably much much higher than the final bitrate. Look up bitrate on google. Bitrate is not the same as resolution.
I'm sure he uploaded this to show the game, not his skills.

He is using remotejoylite. That has a better resolution to record from so the quality is actually improving.

You do realize uploading at 1080p increases the bitrate cap and therefore the overall quality of the video right? You are clueless.

one of the best games I have played. the first time I played this I was in heaven. the iphone version just doesnt compare to this. I prefer this version then the ps3 one aswell. and whats up with that new remake they anounce jezus look horrible. im hoping they bring rr3 with this same style to psp2.

I have to say that NIntendo is good.. they saved the world in the 80s and also thanks to them.. now we have Playstations... but now I think they're getting old... The future is Playstation
RemoteJoy compresses the video to send it to the pc so yes, it's larger but no, it's not better resolution, you can have a 1280x720 jpg image so compressed that it looks like crap
@lilfrog5 of course not. R4 it's the best RR to date. This one... it's OK, but nothing compared to R4. Just my two cents LOL.
@Axel1797 People buy their products regardless of what they do technically. Nintendo is wise for actually selling their systems at a profit and not taking a loss like Sony does just to stay in the game. As it is, Nintendo has noticeably stepped up the 3DS' capabilities (go research Resident Evil Revelations). More than the PSP can do, but less than NGP. And Nintendo will profit off of it unlike Sony who will take a loss of every NGP sold. Unwise business practices.
@GtheMVP Sony and Microsoft aren't renowned for only their video game systems. Nintendo is, and it's really their only business. Sony is known for electronics (TV's, CD/DVD/Bluray players, headphones, etc), MS is known for computer software (Windows, MS Office, Internet Explorer, etc). It's still foolish business, taking a loss just to stay in the game. Why bring up Mcdonalds lol?
You're right about the complex architecture with PS3 though, though it was tied with the cell processor in a way.

@GtheMVP They rely on revenue from actual games sold, which is pretty risky and foolish business (which at first almost killed Sony's gaming market with both PSP and PS3). Eventually, they made profits, but they weren't exactly monumental (PS1 and PS2 were the Sony successes, everything afterwards has been lackluster so far). It hasn't exactly worked out well though, Nintendo beats them anyways. Sony and MS also have other products as backup so they won't go broke.
It's meaningless getting the 480x272 resolution to 1080p. Waste of bandwidth for everybody.
Uploading at highter resolution means RUclips do less compression on the video

@MyRidgeRacer You can't compare a RACING SIMULATOR with an ARCADE GAME. GT5 is the Simulator, this is an arcade title.
Both are just as great, but this Ridge Racer installment kind of disappointed me. First, because there's no R4 style racing back. Second, that announcer is a kick in the balls.

Neither can't take nintendo's 4 year old hardware model approach and expect to do even better, that's not what they're known for. YOu might as wel ask MCdonald's to stop selling burgers.
Cutting edge technology isn't what "almost killed" the PS3, it was their complicated architecture and arrogance towards develpers/consumers. PS3 shouldn't have been so costly (stupid tech). Sony learned the hard way that staying on top isn't a given.
Oh yeah because if i recorded something with a bit rate of 15k i can suddenly just make that go up to 21k when rendering? You are clueless, You will lose quality...

@ojideagu It's true... A reason is the You tube screen size... PSP's screen is thiner than this one and also is the quality of a vid.
But the cars are not real! Was invented. And the driving feeling is very strange for me.

@Axel1797 You CAN'T be serious... PSP versions of GT, GoW, and MGS don't even look close to their PS3 cousins. Not even up to PS2 standards. Are you blind or just foolish? Playstation has yet to put any sort of real dent in Nintendo's handheld dominance, that's not changing. In the end, graphics have never mattered, gameplay and innovation are what matter so much. Grow up, and stop trying to pretend like graphics actually determine a game system winner. Only the most childish still think that.
