- How to deal with knocking issue in Turbo engines, review of a couple of fuel stations in Islamabad. I was using Shell F-10 and my Civic X Turbo started knocking on slow rev from 30k/h to 60k/h so I emptied the tank and put in 50-50 mixture of high octane and normal fuel from Attock. I reved the car and the knocking was gone. I am also going to keep a close eye on the fuel average and will share what's the fuel average after I have used these 40 litres. The fuel is very expensive to be honest. I also made a small clip of how the engine sounds like for a Turbo Civic, alot of owners get scared when they hear ticking noise coming from the engine which is totally fine. I have also talked about Oil Dilution problem in Honda Turbo engines and changed my oil as I was trying to get rid of the knocking.
I also got STP octane booster and trying to find liquimoly injector cleaner. Will use them and will also share the feedback
Aoa your info is regarding this problem is accurate Bcz I am facing the same issue and got my tank full twice from that f-10 shell station
Yes, please avoid F10 shell, use attock
before buying turbo 2016 model which things needs to diagnose first
Only put the gdi injector cleaner in your car
Normal injector cleaner is not for turbo cars

Keep a lookout on fuel quality, I am also thinking of testing octane booster after putting in normal fuel

Hello, I got my turbo unichipped, and after that the average started to drop. I called them and informed about the issue and they said it happens to 2 out of 100 turbos due to low fuel quality, empty your tank and fill it again.
As in it’s causing the knocking issue. It’s rs turbo. I used to get fuel up from f11 but now I don’t know where I should get fuel from
My 2019 Civic turbo has developed spark knock or something ever since using an octane booster. I have 26,000 miles. It only does it up hill under load around 25-30mph. Or going slowly in town and stepping on the gas. It stutters and knocks. No CEL,everything looks fine. I have fresh gas , new air filter, cleaned the MAF and map sensors, fresh oil change, no clue what's causing this.
