can just speak for Germany. Shots are usually measured in CL here (Centiliter, aka: 1/100 of a liter)
so if you have a 3 CL (30 milliliters) shot, you get 33.3 shots out of a liter.

I might not know what an oz is so when I learn to make a cocktail watching an American give me instructions I just get one of those thingies online that measure oz instead of milliliters. Of course I have no idea how much I'm drinking but whatever.
One could say, "just Google it " problem is no imperial measurement is exactly the same. Like in meters. A 6 foot tall person isn't always the same height. One can be shorter one can be taller. Usually by two centimeters.

There's approx. 3.8 Liters per gallon, I know this from a job I used to have. Note to non-US people: we use the metric system in our university science classes, so it's not like we have no clue about metric. At least some of us do. Fahrenheit is still better than celcius for talking about the weather! 😂🍻

Gotta disagree with you on Fahrenheit though, at least where I live, it's useful to know whether or not it's below zero (because some days I can't use salt on my driveway, I need to use sand.) 😅
