Hola, Yarbros! Hey, where are you NOW? We are in Oaxaca just down the road from where you were staying here...but moving on to Bahia de la San Agustin (a cove on the pacific coast in little fishing village) in December for like, 3-4 months.
Soooooo, my favorite Mexican beer is Corona Familiar, which only comes in bottles so I don't get it much so my son and I get cases of the larger cans of Modelo Especial and we make Chiladas (lime and tajin) with them.
Yeah, you forgot the Corona Familiar but good on you for remembering the Victoria...it was a little heavy and sweet for my tastes, tho.
I remember the first time I flew from Tijuana to Mazatlan in the late 80s (lived in San Diego so cheaper to walk across the border and then fly Aeromexico) and was stunned that the lunch I was served on the plane was a pretty awesome torta with a free bottle of Negra Modelo. Yup! Eat your heart out U.S. airlines!
Maaaaannnn....we spent a few months in Mazatlan and well, can you get tired of shrimp all of the time, well yes, we did. But when it's giant, fresh shrimp and super cheap well...I would consider us fortunate to eat enough shrimp to get to that point, ya know? We really liked Maz but we also really love staying at the little villages on the coast like the place we are headed in December... We have to drive 45 min. each week to do stock ups and find an ATM to pull pesos out but hey, it's all good.
Yesterday I decided to step out of my comfort zone and tried all the beers and to my surprise the Modelo Negra is my favorite…!😎
As I sit here in Columbus, OH at 11pm on this beautiful Sunday watching this... i have a COLD Pacifico Clara👍🏾

Hi Yarbros! Love the video! Recently, I've been very impressed with Cucapa Border Ambar and Minerva Ambar. Cucapa has more of a caramel profile and Minerva is a little more coffee. Both companies have a lot of varieties, but Ambers are my go-to beers. Indio and Modelo Negra are great too! 🍻
If you liked Negra Modelo, you must try Nochebuena, which is a seasonal beer they only sell through October-January. Pretty good.

Just lookout for Bohemia Oscura, it's the same brand/brew of Nochebuena.

That was fun, and what a surprise favorite - Modela Negra. I don’t typically like dark beers, but if Apryl loves it, I’m getting some. I’m super surprised about Modela being #1 in the US. Wow! Totally agree about budlite. 🙄 It was hilarious to watch you rising on the tipsy scale as the evening progressed - and the cervezeria - awesome! I think gorgeous Apryl is still glowing from her Brazilian tan, so she’s a bit darker, and Rondel (being a guacho) wears his cowboy hat a lot. Also, I think we all get lighter as we age (sorry Rondel).😉 I like Corona too 🍻- bought a few cases of it in 2020 in honor of the virus when the lockdown made me leave Spain three weeks early. 😡🥴

I frequently visit many restaurants here in the US at least 3 times a week and I have notice that Model is very popular among many Americans here in the US ,but it's not the Dark one it's the Light one the Lager.

When I visited Mexico....my go to beers were Pacifico and Modelo....refreshing, light, crisp and affordable. Nice for the beach...their taste are similar to Corona.

Move over, other beers - Modelo Especial is taking the crown as the USA's number one beer, and it didn't happen by accident. You see, Modelo is like the superhero of beers - it doesn't wear a cape, but it sure knows how to rescue your taste buds. Maybe it's the way the bubbles dance in your mouth or the subtle notes of refreshment that make it so irresistible. There are many types of serveza in Mexico as well as in the USA, in the same way as there, here in Mexico the consumption of the various brands is by area.

My favorite beer in Mexico are Pacifica Suave, Indio Oscura, and Minerva
17:03, Fun fact; they actually do add this beer (Indio) to certain recipe's that require beer. It's always the preferred choice! Loved all of your scores and concurred.!
I hit the craft beer scene while in Mexico. Super impressed with some of the offerings. All the beers in the SIXS, and OXXO seem rather low in alcohol content. Otherwise its a Pacifico for me
Lol we shot a video a few yrs ago about craft beers in gdl but didn't think our channel's demographic would support it. The scene is going crazy here.

Well since I had a bar and bad experiences with the two main mexican breweries and I promised myself to boicot them I turned to mexican handcraft beers and my favorite is the Pirate beer which is made with chile guero to spice it up. It kinda tastes like habanero pepper.
Their Kraft beer scene is something else down here.

Negra Modelo is a good beer. My favorite will always be Bohemia. A German style Pilsner or Lager. It has won the best beer of Mexico many times. To keep up with the trends, Bohemia makes one called a Crystalino which is very good also. Do try them. Now, when are you heading to the Tequila region of Jalisco to perform a " best of " taste test. If you need a judge, I'm in😁. I really enjoy your channel.

We love it though! We’ve learned to use Limon a lot more.

Modelo Negra is my favorite, although hard to find in stores. And even tougher to find if out hopping. Just take a sec and peal the foil down. Dos equis has a dark but, it doesn't come close to Modelo.

Definitely agree with the Modelo Negra. I am not a big beer drinker, but when I do I like a dark full bodied beer. Even my kids in the states drink it over others.

I rock with the cheapest beer. Right now is .....Budlight. I love Modelo, but it is expensive. It think it is +- 3.45 and American beers are 2.45. Every dollar counts when you are in a budget.
I overstand that! Sometimes I forget how expensive the states are.
Bud Ice is my budget fav, along with King Cobra

Bohemia Oscura is the best macro beer in Mexico. The only non-Clara Mexican macro beer available here in the USA is modelo negra. No bohemia oscura, or Victoria amber, or Indio, etc.
