Kelvin is the most impactful character at high elo right now, also part of why you feel weak is you invest heavy in melee then never melee, a lot of your souls went to buffing something you almost never use
@MastYT Surprised, you said that beam kelvin is garbage. I find antiheal and cc is so strong in the game that going supporty kelvin never really works out outside a solid like 4-8m window midgame where your build is up but the enemy hasnt started counterbuilding yet. Meanwhile using an early infuse to secure kills early game with beam kelvin you naturally start doing to of damage, you have insane value because of how much you slow and lower fire rate and your healing remains decent due to enemies not specifically counter building healsbane. Personally I tech in an alchemical fire to make my globe almost a guarenteed kill and I've had great success
@@AlexJCrossonce u get to a solid mmr I’ve found that pretty much every game once u hit the 16ish minute mark half of every team give or take is going to have either toxic bullets or healbane and if not have some kind of built in healing reduction to their character. That doesn’t mean that having healing isn’t still very valuable as you can get enough healing on lots of characters that it’s still healing for a shit ton and healing booster is insane value into these teams. Health nova for example for just 1250 when used well can be doing 1k plus healing per use once laning phase ends and is very impactful

i feel like kelvin's auto firing should stack a frost status like Infernus stacks ignite, I think it would just help him a lot with sticking and it would be cool to build an awesome frost sprit scaling slow build that does a bunch of damage
or if they can't do that for some reason at least just change his gun because whats the point of having a literal snowball launcher it has nothing but have low damage?
@1:45 its called right hand advantage. Its been a thing since 3ps's (especially ones that dont allow you to flip aim angles) have had for years. Classic 3ps Mechanic that gets overlooked often.

I am sure you know this by now but escalating exposure makes arctic beam feel like a mini bebop ult, I am also a big fan of superior duration on ice path, lets you be wherever you want to be and play in the air the whole match, also soul shredder bullets help the burst quite a bit too! great vid as always.
Kelvin is a huge counter to Infernus. Just poke him with 1 while you cs and don't let him get burn build up and you're good. When he tried to all in just 3 him till he's moving at 1m/s.
Find the build with health nova as first part, buy in order. Unlock beam first then nade. Upgrade both first as you unlock everything. Play conservatively and farm minions and deny orbs as much as possible. Use beam+ nade to harass people in lane, ur heal is for you if solo allowing you to challenge dps characters. Once u get ult your just waiting for them to push you into ult where beam and nade and melee will help you win a fight and win tower, if duo it's easier if you can catch someone in it with ur duo to 2v1 and get an easy kill. From there you just play normal and focus healing people in team fights and grinding to get ur beam and ult as strong as possible
Mast, love your videos, been watching for smite originally but saw you were doing deadlock too. Would love to see you do some viscous games, very fun hero IMO. Keep up the awesome videos.
Hey - I know you said you don't like Beam Build, but I love playing Kelvin, early infuser into mystic vulernability, Mystic reach, cooldown, swiftboots. I feel your complaint about doing nothing is because you're play style was geared towards "healer role" and not thinking like a MOBA. I'm probably low rank, but small things like wave pushing. You could have preserved Orange lane around 14 mins instead of diving. If you were leveling the 3 not the 1 you wouldn't have to worry about the akward hitbox. My games (assuming low rank) are usually 2 people pushing a single lane and then by 20mins they're in the base because no one bothers to do lane control - so i've pushed 3 lanes and the other team doesn't realize they've lost 2 walkers. Kelvin makes this great cause with swiftboots you can use 2 to run from lane to lane with little problem. Boost your 3 to melt towers and use your 4 to cover you during the melt. By 25-30mins you should be able to basically use your ult to win the game by melting down objectives. It's cheese, but it definitely works esp with a haze. Her ult can't be cancelled by anything but stun so with a full kit haze + Kelvin. You can walk into the weakened Patron and basically win the game ezpz. Like your commentary over gameplay - keep up the good work!
The ice path for whatever reason blocks nothing including LOS. I thought I was making a big brain play by blocking a rope with my ice path, but they could still just attach to the rope and go through the path.
slowly catching up to your most recent videos and I would like to know, Mast, is there a way to tell what lane you'll be going into? From the last few games I've played since I still just started playing deadlock, it seems random even though I picked Ivy which is clearly a support type character but in that game I was put into a solo lane (and was the only person on my team not dying back to back but perservance led us to victory). Is there a way to know if you'll be in a solo lane or with another person? Or is it somewhat based on if you are playing solo or with someone else?
Look up MEDIOCRE for a kelvin carry build. Kelvin isnt a support character his beam is opressive and mast needs to revisit his kelvin game with the MEDIOCRE beam build
Try Turret build McGinnis playstyle is put shit ton of turrets in an area where the enemy will retreat. Heroic Spirit + 2 on turrets make them unkillable
As long as you're both within a certain range of a minion, up to two players will both get 100% of the value, more than 2 players it gets split. After 10 minutes farm is always split between teamates in range. Denies only go to the person who denied the orb, afaik.
kelvins one of the best against infernus he requires firerate you remove his firerate. just dont bubble him thats a bad idea lol also not grabbing that 1 pointer in the movement hurt man its so crazy good. i know you want that beam maxed. but its literally like a 40% movement increase for you for a 1 point diff that you'd get from a jar
Few pointers/thoughts: - I just found funny that few vids ago u complained/muted your teammates for talking and now u miss them talking :p i know it was due to not yet used to this live commentary and it took u offguard and now u are used to it, but still how the tables turned :D - for me playing supportive style characters that FORCE others to co-operate start them to realise teamplays worth, like dynamos quantum warp were u can take teammates with u and ivys ult. Quite quickly ive got people stick near me during teamfights. - kelvin seems really strong in high mmr matches/ 6-man stacks, but struggles in solo/low mmr because coordination is soo important to kelvin potential. Found u 2 weeks ago from deadlock vid recommendations and i absolutely love u and your vids! Keep em coming, cause i bet your channel will blow up once deadlock goes mainstream!!
You need to put deadlock in your titles and thumbnails if you want more views. If you notice your metrics the ones with the name deadlock have vastly more views compared to character names or whatever gameplay.
I think a problem is your playing Kelvin as a support and not an and this is gonna sound weird an assassin and building as such I have fought and have demons as Kelvin "mains" just slow and entire team for eons and murder us slowly cause the hero and hes playerbase are psychos

Here's the run down Kelvin 1 throw an ice Grenade, Grenade damages and slows enemies(on upgrade get additional damage, charges and they start healing allies) Kelvin 2 creates a walkable path of ice that kelvin can raise or lower to give him mobility (upgrades increase speed while traveling, reduce the cooldown and gives him free spirit power) Kelvin 3 fires a damaging beam of ice that slows the enemys movement and fire rate(upgrades reduce the CD, raise the dps, and cause the beam to split to 2 further targets) Kelvin 4 big ice globe that traps him, and any other entities in range. Heals allies and slows enemies(upgrades reduce cd, increase the healing and grants further slows)

kelvins 3 is insane early game coming often, doing big damage and slow, great for early aggression or capitalizing on the enemy over pushing

Kelvin is the present top pick in my friend group, cool-down plus range is nuts. I like a tank style while my friend loves max damage beam.
Enduring speed definitely helps on Kelvin, makes your 2nd less of a death trap sometimes also
