This is the best way on NG+1. Once you’ve leveled up your weapon some I recommend going to a higher NG+. The higher you go the more ooze drops from creatures and bosses
I find that it's easier to just go for maximum damage on the broodmother to make it faster. With a level 10 coaltana taking advantage of her weaknesses to spicy and slashing, and a spicy damage up best cone, you literally get a 100% increase in damage, and that's before effects from food and smoothies. (25% from each weakness and 50% from damage up) With that build, I have literally deleted half of her healthbar before she's able to scream once. I am on NG+1 and I play on mild, so results may vary on higher games/difficulties, but I definitely recommend going for pure damage. In NG+1 she doesn't do enough damage to instantly KO you, so you can heal.
so question, as I see you do what I used to do, loading your pet with goodies... I have lost 2 pets into the ether loaded with broodmother results. Apparently the ant pets are picky and need to be fed/cared after. Are you doing that or since this vid, you too have lost your pets?
Made it to NG+ is there not a way to upgrade armor past 9? Does none of the DoT scale with the higher levels? No stronger base materials despite the more raids, and stronger insects? Am I missing something here? I have got to have this wrong.

For new players : blocking is with a shield, parry is without a shield. This is 2 different mechanics and you have to understand that. Blocking absorb more damage if not perfect, but there is a bar that can deplete depending on the strenght and damage of your ennemy. When th bar is full and you block, you will be stagger, will suffer more damage and your stamina wil be drained. That's why when not good at the game in NG+ having a trinket with the replenish block bar on perfect parry is really good for Ifected BM for example.
It isn't the strongest weapon for this fight but it's been upgraded to 12 and my sour battle axe (acid edge) was level 9 or 10. I wasn't concerned about my dps in this fight because it's been quite easy and I like the look of the frosted flake.

toenail 1 hand sword + a shield (infected ant shield is the best slot) for phase 3. Mutation sword master to reduce dmg from IBM, drink smoothy that give you dmg resist + eat food with dmg resist and max health, use the roly poly armor upgrade to get the block strength cause phase 3 if you're not good at perfect block, you can just have to block her fast atk, trinket you could use giddy goo or if you have trinket that deal more dmg to her then use it. Don't forget to drink the boss juice smoothy and spider slider for crit rate and Liquid rage smoothy for more dmg
They made this method better high chance for trinkets and you get brood ooze and infused ooze but use the waft emitter to get way more science doing red ant raids with max rage
why are you using a frosted flake? broodmother is resistant to fresh and if its because you are on NG+1 and cant get the pepper flake at least use the sour battle axe

BROODMOTHER IS BUGGED OUT!!!! Idk if anyone else has experienced this, but the broodmother’s sneeze is super broken right now. I play on Xbox, and even when perfect blocking, her sneeze procs infused abilities off her summons and egg sacks. If I’m near any other entities when she sneezes with any explosive or magic infusion, my game drops to 2 fps and I insta-die. It sucks cause I hate rerolling for an “easier boss fight”
I've experienced this, for some reason it thinks the web sacks are entities that can be damaged. I hope they fix this in a patch, it's annoying to perfect parry her jump back, only for the web sacks to spawn a thousand sour balls.
Nice video my guy. I just don't understand how the hedge broodmother is easy to fight. Anytime I'm fighting her she has sour or spicy magic and when she screams it summons over 50 of those attacks at once. It lags the game for me so much
The infected BM Ooze is 1 to 1 but for some dumb Reason its not a guaranteed Drop. I only got 2 on 14 Kills.... I farmed the Mantis on Mild. Full Manits Set, fresh Axe. Dupe Toast and Boss Sauce. Trinket with inplant weakness You can stun her before her Scream so she takes massive Damage. Lifesteal and implant Weakness are awesome on Trinkets. Note that damage against specific Enemys like +Mantis Damage only gives 10% whereas the +Boss Damage gives 30%. Bonus Tipp: Black Ox drop Tier 3 Trinkets even when they're uninfused in NG+1 so stack Loot Luck

@fuchsmichael93 Yeah, you think it would drop as a guarantee for IBM. The benefit for fighting the Broodmother with full black widow gear is that I don't need to craft healing or buffs (or copy them) so I can save on the science. But to each their own.
If I beat a boss once, or a few time, why do developers think I want to beat them 300 more times!!!!!!!!? Make NewGame+ challenging without grinding please!
I think the developers went in this direction to give players more "content" without making more bugs/boss fights. The grind can be fun but I would love to see more additions to the backyard
Setting the game to mild kinda makes this guide pointless.... However, it's annoying that NewGame+ added grinding to an otherwise balanced game, so I understand. I do like that lower skilled players can grind resources and get gear to level 15 to make the game easier. But I just want level 10/11 gear without having to farm a boss fight!
The point of the guide is to give people a direction on how to farm crystals on Newgame+1. I lowered the difficulty for grinding crystals because there's no point in defeating bosses on Woah mode if you don't get different rewards and it's much quicker. By just running around the backyard you should be able to get your weapons to 10/11 without any trouble. BTW have you heard about how to get infused weapons?
@@Travis_Gaming BTW, it seems like farming the Red Ant MIX.R is a lil more efficient, because you also get a ton of science to duplicate crystals (Gotta be on Medium mode so you can destroy the MIX.R before it completes. Then again, as you upgrade your weapon, the Broodmother gets quicker and quicker! So I it might just come down to which grind is the least boring for people. Edit: Farming the Red Ant Mix.R got me a lil over 15 crystals in 1 hour (60ish ooze and 180,000ish science). Edit 2: I got 23 crystals my second hour.
Im so tired of farming crystals i have over 200 kills on brood mother i have only made one weapon level 15 and i have three axes two swords and a staff left to upgrade
Gotcha, still though I've had too many times that I've left my main base for a boss just to realize that I didn't bring the summon or something. Teleporters save my sanity
they definetly need to make it easier to get fusion crystals cuz 15 broodmother kills just for one upgrade on one weapon is way too grindy
The kill is pretty ez and you can duplicate most things to help
Heading to NG+2 is much easier for farming crystals

No mild will work for Achievements. Only custom will block them out.

You get + however how high your ng+ is each ooze drop, so in higher ng+ it gets way easier to farm, you don't really have to farm BM for this lmao

Pet invincibility is own by default for mild and medium on new game +. Although, they are prone to poffing out of existence.

the mant has a big 3 hit aoe move... just use summon thorns and the fight takes about 30-40 sec

from seeing his inventory his character is displaying their idle animation so he’s either on medium or whoa mode.
I think he's on a mild custom world with menus pause game on because he isn't taking much damage from anything with light armour
