1:36 Seth Lover left Gibson in 1967 to help Fender design a humbucker pickup, the CuNiFe WRHB was the result. CuNiFe magnets (originally used in automotive speedometers) went out of production, so soon did the WRHB. The CuNiFe magnets were special in that they were soft enough that they could be threaded for use as adjustable pole pieces. For the most part, typical AlNiCo magnets are very brittle and don't machine very well. Tim Shaw (also of Gibson) came to Fender to oversee the development of many new pickup designs, as well as the reintroduction of authentic WRHB pickups. Both Seth Lover and Tim Shaw are responsible for some of the most important pickup designs ever used, we are fortunate that both men worked for Gibson and Fender. Love Your Content, Thank You
I purchased the Squier 70s Tele with this exact same pickup configuration. I said and felt exactly the same way you did , The hotter single coil in the bridge is spot on Tele Twang, the Wide range Humbucker in the neck is so warm n full. I find myself in that neck position often when playing mine. Mine feels so well balanced and I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase. Absolutely love the guitar. Mine is the 3 tone Sunburst and has a 9.5 radius neck. It's fantastic.
I think it's a Seth Lover? Man John that's my favorite telecaster of all! Keef!! I'm gonna use your link and get another one Great review guys! Zack you rule buddy!

I would love a 70s Custom Tele. Might have to be one of those Classic Vibes.
@@roberte03915 you won't regret it.
@roberte03915 you won't regret it!!!
It does sound really good unplugged. Sometimes i sit for hours unplugged.
It sounds very good. I love this version of the Telecaster, it really is the best all-in-one guitar for me.

Great review guys!
Zack you rule buddy!
You meant Seth Lover, not Tim Shaw. 😊
He actually meant Seth Rogen
It’s the ultimate telecaster !
Wow, nice jam. That guitar rocks. 9.0...not bad.
Nice playing man! It’s a real rock machine.
Your reviews are great.
Cool guitar and a great demo.
I would definitely own one of these by now if it weren't for one major issue....I'm left handed. So fender doesn't want my money.
Nice 👊
If you had to chose one , this or the av ii 61 strat?
This.

Beautiful guitar! A little 2000 grit sanding paper on the sticky neck and it’s all good. 😁
What no belly cut? 😩
This series is meant to be period correct. They did however screw up an early batch of these and give them belly cuts. Sold them as limited editions.
@@Jamzocd the 75 deluxe (dual cunife HH) has the belly cut.
Tiny, pot metal frets
