This old man saw the grim reaper while with the doctor and told it "If I'm dying, I'm dying on my own terms.", and that specter just fucked off for 18 years.

Most professional army in the world cant kill a 78 year old. Outnumbering him 700 to 1.

He’s like if Marcus from John Wick 1 survived
"Oh no, my good sir, I go out on my own terms.” [lives 19 more years]

I once shook hands with a former veteran and a former firefighter, who was in his 80s. That was the epitome of old man strength. He didn't squeeze my hand, but the strength of that handshake was clear to me. If he had chosen to hold onto my hand, he would have had my hand. It was like a vice grip. Don't underestimate old people. They are smart, and they know how to show us young ones why we should respect them.

Was binge watching these and thinking about all the old school badasses who talked the talk AND walked the walk, and were usually humble about it too because they knew they didn't have to prove anything to anyone. My dad was a Vietnam Vet and is kind of like that. Quite a difference from how most people carry themselves now... I guess living through all the hardships and horrors of war puts things in a much different perspective.

Suggesting again Incase previous one went unnoticed but would love reactions to Stupendiums songs “gotta build a zoo, planet zoo”, “open the sky, stray”, and “room for improvement, house flipper”

Paul Revere road a couple hours and 12 miles. Israel Bissel rode for 4 days and about 350 miles. History shafted Israel Bissel.

You are the first commenter I have heard on Paul Revere’s (and others’) ride to state the warning more correctly. They would have said something like “the regulars are coming” , but definitely not “the British are coming.” The colonials still considered themselves British at that point, so it would have been nonsense.

I lived in Arlington, MA, and know this location. It's great to understand the history behind it, although I did know some of it, but not this much. What a BadA@@!
