Once you start tailgating a lot you get used to how high to raise it how fast to go according to how thick you want the gravel there is a little trick to it it’s called experience! I have done a lot of tailgating! The better you are tailgating the less time they spend grading!
Have you ever heard of installing chains to the tailgate they make them for spreading in Canada for building roadways then you can set them to different lengths too adjust product coming out hammer down chains do all the work
If neither driver or operator have a problem running over dumped dirt, he should have dump both boxes together. Just ran a few feet ahead before raising front box.
Trucks are governed by state laws about how much weight they can have on. This product is apparently dense, while other products are light weight and can fill the whole truck and not be over weight.
I'm not worried about the Kiwi Oz thing but when time is money, spreading chains would speed this up no end, as well as being safer and easier on the trailer. Also the truck didn't seem to have a dual control hydraulic system, where you can keep lowering the trailer, as you raise the truck hoist.

Why wouldn't chains be allowed? Seems like an odd thing to ban. In the states, we have dump trucks that can spread even layers of gravel for hundreds of foot. If the driver is good, you don't even need a tractor to smooth things out.
where i come from you can haul more with a tandem and a pup trailer then a tractor trailer end dump. alot of jobs around here require tandem trucks, period. no trailers. for these ocasions leave the trailer home, otherwise haul heavy..... more versatile wha?
Im from the states looked pretty dumb but what do I know. Why didnt he cut it to dump his second load in front of his first instead of backing over the load he dumped with the bucket in the air. Again what I know ?!!!!
@@laverdadesmejorto answer the question, No the trucks box/product container will not touch the trailer while up (and the trailer fully down). Frankly the way this guy has done his type of job has so many mistakes it's not funny

You always spread the trailer first otherwise you are pulling a heavy trailer with a light truck and limited traction capability. Somehow he got away with it but if he had a slippery or loose base he would hav e spun out. Always remove the weight from the trailer first. Kids out there, don’t try this at home!

BORAL requirements state all tipper hoists must be lowered before moving your vehicle forward. As these units have such a small drawbar this is impossible to do this maneuver without the dog trailer in the lift position.... IMO they are just too fucken lazy to unhook the trailer. BORAL SAFETY is just a load of shit. Wait till one rolls over and this tipping will cease.

True professional. Been pulling live bottoms for years now but to spread like that with a box definitely takes skill.
I like heavy equipment. The operator is a very good skill. Very good engine sound. Thank you from Japan.
chaa Boral s gud company good crowd enjoyed working wid them 🙂
Hello my friend writing with great pleasures
ok, we can say this is a good video to tell how its not suposed to be done, i dont like spreading though.

you know NSW says it's illegal for you guys to use spreader chains but I believe the way you do it it's more dangerous
If neither driver or operator have a problem running over dumped dirt, he should have dump both boxes together. Just ran a few feet ahead before raising front box.
Where's the chains?
Who the fuck used chains 😂
good way to tip a trailer on its side
And lose mudflaps

Yep from NZ myself. No chains then it's not spreading.

If we went to farms etc there was very rarely machinery so had to do spreading ourselves. I really enjoyed it. Good times if it was spot on.

he I've watch my dad spread doubles twice as fast as this guy drops a single... infinity safer too.
Dads a hero
Not smart pulling dump up in air. The back and forth motion wears the pins and can roll over
Bulldozers were invented for a reason. If you need to spread box, why not kick wagon to the right. Instead of reversing onto pile?
P .
Why don’t you get your hoist up to stage about 2and a half, then start moving, then trip it ,would make a better spread when no chains can be used ,.
Where's your spreading chains and then you can run a nice even spread across the job so its less work for the grader.
Chains not allowed in NSW, he did a good job without them.

where do you get off???
