Thank you man, you did me wonders with this video. I got to the transmission removal with ease, but taking off the actual transmission was a pain in the arse. One of my bolts were stripped (probably from a past mechanic) and it took me another day and a half to finally get the fucker off. I had my roommates dad come and help me since he had a lot more tools than I and he got it off quite easily. After that bolt, the rest was simple as well. God bless ya man. North America: Mx5 NC-6 speed
Awesome 👌 thank you very much! Well done. Unfortunately stuff like that happens all the time. Definitely helps when u got the right tool for them fuckers
¡Gracias! Alex, tu video es muy didáctico, fácil de entender ese complejo proceso para cuidar nuestras "garage queens". Sigue ilustrándonos, por favor. Armando Orenos, ¡Saludos desde Guatemala, C.A.
@@AlexTheGrumpyOneappreciate this video. I moved house and sadly don’t have a garage anymore. I had to put into the garage to have a clutch replaced (felt like I had to hand in my “man card” same time as the keys. AP racing clutch now installed (again) and I picked the car up late Friday and didn’t notice the exhaust was blowing til the place was closed and mechanics away home. Im starting to worry about myself because I’ve managed to build engines and gearboxes for these cars by myself. Before I even really had RUclips to check that I was doing things correctly. Yet now, I had to find a video like this to check if indeed the exhaust needed to come off OR they bumped it on the slightly too steep entrance to the garage. Now I know at least that it’s a (hopefully) minor issue and just need to re align my exhaust, hopefully they don’t need gaskets. Damn. Only just now thought of this. (I should have been more clear: my car is a heavily modded NB (I couldn’t find a decent NA shell in the uk without a crazy money request. Thanks for the video
Hey Alex could you do a toolbox tour, either one you use for work or your own workshop one, maybe both? Would just be really interesting to see what you use. There isn't many UK toolbox videos, most of them are US ones with brands we don't get here.
@grahambolton3853 hi there. No need to be honest. Just the esp light comes on afterwards and u need to start the car and turn steering lock to lock and it goes off

Hi there. Yep can organise that 😀
Fantastic video Alex. Are you also able to do one for a Scirocco 6sp manual, or do you have one already? Thanks.
Thank you very much 😀 means a lot!
I have got one on audi a3 on here already and it is the same 6 speed box on the same engine 😀
@AlexTheGrumpyOne Excellent. I'll have a look. Your videos have been great with the Scirocco.
Thank you very much 😀
Hi Alex any need for a memory saver when disconnecting battery thanks
@grahambolton3853 hi there. No need to be honest.

Is a front wheel drive easier? I have a 2013 cx5, and I want to do the clutch bearing on my own
No unfortunately front wheel drive is a lot more tight and awkward
Hi Alex, would you be able to replace the clutch on my mx5 nc 2010 please. I await your reply...thanks
Hi there. I could organise something yes.
Can you send me either email or find me on my social media FB or Instagram. @alexthegrumpyone
Thank you
thank you
U are welcome
Do not like the way you just chuck trim panels on top of each other they get scratched that way,and i would not like scratched panel trim.
No worries. I understand that. Being my car I don't mind to be honest...
