Great idea to add space above the kallax and include space for your sewing machine in it. I thinks that’s wat I want for my table too. It seems to make more sense then adding wheels below it
What an incredible set up! I struggle with my sewing station. I have tried so many different table and configuaration that just haven’t quite worked out. I may have to head to our local Ikea. Thanks for the ideas.
I would love to see the other side where you sit. How close are your legs to the shelves? What's the width of the top compared to the shelves? Is there overhang? I love your set up. How do you get the top cut so perfectly for your machine? Thank you.
I use the 5x5 Kallax as a wall to divide my sewing space from the rest of a very large room. I love it but I may need to add more for a table (and increase my storage). Thanks for sharing! Have a great week!
IKEA also sells casters for the Kallax shelving and that raises the height as well, so if you are planning on a rolling workstation, you will need to figure in that extra height before adding a table top.
Did you customize the top? Is the counter area with the built in section (added later) from IKEA also? If so, what size work area is there in total? How many units beneath the surface work area? It is very efficient and looks easy to keep clear and organized. Thanks for sharing!🧵🪡💖
I’m interested in how to cut out the table top so your machine sits lower than the table. Is there a measurement you used as I have a Bernina 770QE. I’m short and I need my machine to be lower as yours is in the video. Please let me know. Thank you.
OMG...How you set up the sewing machine is BRILLIANT! That is by far the coolest idea I have seen ever. Thank you so much for sharing.
I have a cutting table made with these shelves. It is on casters, so it is higher, but I love it!!
You have it set up perfectly, we all would love that 😊

What a great idea I just wish I had the room to do this
Great idea. Right now I get upper backache at my sewing table.
You just gave me an idea. I sew on an old wooden teacher's desk. It's a bit too low. I think I'll add casters to it to raise it up a bit!

That’s really nice. I don't know the drawers, block of 2. where did you find them?

Sewing area looks great. One question - does the table prevent sewing machine from vibrating ?
How did you attach the work top to the top of the Kallax shelves?
WOW I LOVE ❤️ THIS IDEA 💡 AND I LOVE IKEA …… 🎉 THANK YOU 🙏 😊

That's really nice!!!
What kind of shelves do you have in the background that hold your bolts of fabric?!
I was given a lot of fabric from smokers household. How can I get rid of the cigarettes' smell?
Great question. I'll do some research on that and will make a video about it if I can answer your question!
What is the top? Ty
