Hi I have an 1879 and 1921 one dollar silver coin both without mint marks how to know the of value of it and what the best way to sell it any suggestion.
The au55 that was struck 20% off center amazes me how a coin that is so obviously a mint error can be so highly circulated! I guess back in 1879 there weren't too many people collecting coins. That coin had to have passed through so many hands before somebody said "I might want to take this out of circulation and hang on to it"
i have a 1879 Silver Morgan Dollar no mint mark ...in excellent cond. with mint marks on the reverse side on both d"s... .and a 1921 D silver morgan dollar .with some mint marks coming off the left wing going up then over to the t in states .... worth grading ?? thanks
I have a 1879 Philadelphia example which shows a possible struck through the die error, which shows a possible struck through steel wire error visible across Liberty's nose. Possibly a die hubbing error. Any additional information would be appreciated greatly so I can be sure as to its rarity before I decide to sell. Find old people 90% of really old people collected And a lot of them haven’t looked at their coins in a lot of years so they don’t even know really what they got I just make offers to them and I come up on a lot of Carson City and all morgan dollars I don’t really buy a lot of coins from online because they’ve already been searched and no one’s really going to sell you or give you something that’s really worth alot money If you’re trying to make a lot of money you need to buy from them older people

A dollar back then was a whole lot of money. Not many people could hoard them.
