I really can't justify 50-60 bucks for a game like this. I'm going to have to wait for a deep sale because honestly I've never liked the Dragon quest series and 50 bucks a lot to ask just to dip my toes into the earlier entries.
~ NOT worth IT ~
Why would I want to buy censored media?
Censoring has been around since the beginning. They’re minor changes that have NO impact on the game’s original function, story, or even design (they censored it in Japan for a wider audience and Akira Toriyama himself was completely fine with that when he was still alive.) they even discussed this in an interview recently, they did it to prevent US’s wokeness from attacking them the way Wukong is being slandered.
@heavymetaltarzan3709 IT does affect the story though, they panderd to these people who are not even going to play the game, beforehand rpg would just refer you to the title you given your character, now we was getting into the era where if you choose male/female you will be referred to as he or she, now they want to go backwards to the title era very disappointing.
@@heavymetaltarzan3709Wukong was slanderd for dumb reasons even though their was various female characters in the game, they just didn't want eastern media to win a strong candidate for goty.
@@MickeyMouse-ud2xuBruh, if a minor change like “he, the hero” to “the hero” upsets you and or a deal breaker, I feel bad for you. You’re literally depriving yourself of a masterpiece over a small thing. It’s a game enjoy it for what it is.
@ I’m not depriving myself, I’m still getting the game because unlike the crazy liberal weirdos I enjoy the games, but I’m not afraid to call out bs censorship, and pray for the days when it comes to an end.
After they censored it no buy If I get it I'll be Used
What was censored?
@@RpgAddict325 The same crap that was censored back in the 90's in N.A. 😂 😂
These kids are just parroting neckbeard complaints.

@@RpgAddict325nothing important. Just games growing and becoming more complex and these folks have opinions that it’s going in the wrong direction.
Spoiler: It’s basically the kind of edits companies made in the 90s to every kind of media to tone down sexual content.
This also smells of a want for the game to be taken more seriously. Ya know, when female armor is basically a metal thong and bra it doesn’t actually speak super highly of the conceptual work behind the game.
It comes down to pretty basic changes that have little to no impact. Stuff that’s totally reasonable given context, especially with a diverse and still quickly growing more diverse gaming demographic. These are folks who want it all to stay the same forever.
But you won’t see them hammering greed as hard as they’ll hammer “woke.”
I do hate the censored part but from most reviews the whole storyline is still intact. The only way preventing me from buying if the protagonist goes to the mother and said “I am non binary now” or completely changing the storyline to fit the “modern audience”.
Bruh. They don't silly enough to ruin that for the sake of DEI or whatever.
I mean, unless they forced the protagonist to be bisexual or black guys, I don't see the problem.
This is censored, Octopath wasn’t so…there ya go.

The game dialogs now have feminist neratives, such as carrier over relationships.
censorship is being focused the west so no i well not be picking it up. Tokyo gameshop interview was an eye opener.
GameCross - SORRY , I prefer to OWN Physical and ONLY play on SUPERIOR Nintendo consoles .
I own Complete Dragon quest games Published for USA on USA Nintendo consoles.
also own Complete FAMICOM Hardware & Dragon Quest games.
I own ALL DQ remakes on Nintendo DS/3DS as well.
the ONLY thing you need to know is that it was "censored" for "modern audience". This alone MUST turn you off from spending ANY money on that game, i even say dont pirate it.
Do you actually know what was censored?
@@RpgAddict325Female characters like Warriror class.
@@RpgAddict325 Yes. Every single artwork that includes female characters that is in the game lost the prominent curves and acquired more clothes to hide as much skin as possible. Plus they removed any mention of player gender from the game, and from what i know, gender of a main character actually have some gameplay element at some point of the game, so they probably ether removed that, or fucked this moment up.
Finitela con queste stronzate statunitensi, agli altri paesi del mondo non frega veramente nulla del woke o di queste idiozie tutte vostre.
@@denisvarga2794if you care that much just play on PC with mods, it’s not like the story and writing is fucked up like DA:V. Who the hell play this game so they can see them pixel curves for fucks sake.
why is it 60 dollars
good question, i rather save my money
Because!
because it’s a HD 2D remake better graphic if u don’t like spending 60 buck then don’t buy the game
My credit card has already been censored so I cannot buy that thing. Why do I call it a thing? Because it's not worth to be called a game
I really wish they would have an option to play this uncensored. I was really looking forward to this, but now? Sadly no. The woke ruin everything they touch.
All you need to know is everyone can be a woman, but woman can’t be pretty or show skin… really for a pixel game nonetheless…
And you’re going to let that dictate whether or not you enjoy the game? That’s sad.
@heavymetaltarzan3709 what's sad is supporting censorship. That's so sad dude. You're the problem
@@heavymetaltarzan3709I’m agree that it’s not all of it but it is weird that they would change stuff in a remake and it’s pixel art no less

Get your facts right kid. Censorship isn't good and Akira and the others were against it. And it wasn't around from the beginning. You clearly live under a rock and vote for commi harris😂
You mean your protagonist can be type a or type b due to all the restrictions that were placed due to the fact that everyone can be a woman…
