It is a matter of lifting up the serpent in the wilderness or bringing the kundalini energy safely up the spine to the crown of the head. With it comes revelations, awareness of, and finally union with the whole or universe. There is the choice to meld with the transcendent or remain separate as wished or at will. Merging can be permanent or temporary by choice. Both are possible as individuality is never lost, once given it always exists.
I think the reason the people following the classic traditions of Advaita say that enlightenment is spontaneous (and that a path doesn’t exist) or that they are against technology to produce satori experiences is because most of these folks could be operating from the Mythic Stage of development where they are following their books and dogmas by the word without more reflection beyond what is included in their books. I think producing a brain wave state with technology to produce state experiences can be very powerful. It’s like taking a psychedelic and realizing your True Self as Consciousness which could be life changing
Wow, Ken Wilber said that evolution is going faster and faster. That's precisely what Ray Kurzweil has predicted and he calls it the Law of Accelerating Returns. It's focus on technological development but also biological evolution is following the this "law", ,Kurzweil wrote. And then what Wilber said seems to mean that even consciousness evolution is accelerating through history.

Prefer Wilber a million times to Peterson. I haven't seen Wilber interviewing war criminal Netanyahu for two hours and virtually genuflecting in the process as did Peterson.
From what I understand: Tier 1: Infrared, Magenta, Red, Amber, Orange, Green Tier 2: Teal, Turquoise Tier 3: Indigo, Violet, Ultraviolet, Clearlight At Tier 1 you may have some dominant characteristics of certain stages without fully integrating other stages.
For ex: Someone might be heavily focused on the dynamics of Red while disregarding the order of Amber or the survival focus of Beige. This is part of why Tier 1 often has conflict between worldviews. At Tier 2, there’s more integration.
@@InfiniteBeingTV I see, so Tier 1 can have a quite imbalanced expression of the stages while Tier 2 has managed a kind of balanced expression of the previous stages. Thank you, that's making sense.
You are welcome. It's a model of developmental progression, not a rigid ladder. We can display traits from multiple stages at the same time. Have a "center of gravity" in one stage but still access or express ideas from higher or lower stages. For example, someone primarily operating at Amber (Blue) might occasionally have glimpse in to Ultraviolet stage even if they’re primarily operating at a Tier 1 stage. Another example: A guru-like figure may have a powerful spiritual experience (a Turquoise or Tier 3-like moment) but still operate primarily in Red (seeking power) or Amber (rigid dogma). They might mistake this temporary glimpse for being permanently "evolved."
@@InfiniteBeingTV Indeed, we see that all the time with gurus falling prey to baser drives in spite of their glimpses into the transcendent. It's a testament to the explanatory power of Spiral Dynamics that it accounts for these types of phenomena. Your notion of "center of gravity" is a helpful way to think of it because it gives me the image of hovering over a general vicinity instead of being locked into a rigid box. Your explanations are helpful...

Wilber is disintegrating before our eyes! He’s absolutely correct about post modernism but he seems to be losing his explanatory capacity. His mind has always been something of a labyrinthine tangle lacking fundamental coherence, but he is getting worse. The only relevant part of this interview is his acknowledgment of Douglas Harding. The rest is essentially gobbledygook.
@@benkelly7182 I have Quantum Questions and maybe another one of his older books somewhere. I understand his critique of post-modernism and I get that he has a lot of animosity about what he perceives as "woke" but I really don't get how he reconciles anti-woke and "Integral" or even how he is at all optimistic about society as a whole eventually reaching the "Integral" stage. Seems wildly naive and unrealistic to me. He is a child of the Sixties after all.....
