12:58 this is what the Midwest calls a "trailer dollie" and is used by people like RV dealers to scoot fifth-wheel or gooseneck trailers around without needing a large truck... bigger versions are used to link multiple semi trailers together. Think FexEx or Old Dominion freight trucks.

Todays RV'ers aren't any wackier than decades going back. Think of the family truckster station wagon with a big old travel trailer hooked up to it with the cars gas tank scraping the ground. How about a '69 Nova with an air stream rolling down the highway.

I really love the olld GMC motor homes! They were Oldsmobile powered, 455's at first, then small block 403 ci later..both were slapped on top of a front wheel drive Toronado front drive transaxle. Essentially that transaxle auto transmission was a good old TH400 internally, just shoved into a unique case. Also the ring and pinion is Huge in those things...i believe its 12 in in diameter, like having a 12 in instead of just 9in like a Ford axle with the front mounted pumpkin. Even the axle shafts are heavy duty and rather large in diameter, with just as beefy cv joints at either end of both shafts.
As a life long Oldsmobile lover amd owner and drag racer i have a huge collection of 455 Olds engines, blocks, heads, crankshafts, pistons and rods, and boxes of hi po olds parts. Id love to build a mild but super torquey and bulletproof Olds 455 for one of these RV's. I could even carry a spare engine if i thought it was necessary...but probably wouldnt be. I thought about setting it up with modern efi fuel system but carry a ready to go carburetor and the necessary parts to go with in case emergencies on the road. Computer problems would not leave us stranded! Also like the idea of dual 3 inch stainless exhaust all the way out back somewhere. Pipes that long and maybe 4 mufflers would keep it quiet inside but still allow a little rumble near the tailpipe exits. These large class 8 truck tires and body and chassis lift are all a bit much for me, but i wouldn't say no if someone wanted to gift it to me!

That “Goose neck hitch” looks like the standard 2” hitch but he flipped it upside.

I forgot what they are called but the 5th wheel hook up with a ball has been around for at least 40yrs. They are popular b/c they are mounted beneath the floor level over the axle and leave a clean and usable floor space in a PU or a flatbed covered by a small metal plate to access the locking system and light lead. As opposed to the 5th wheel common hitch that we always see, companies even sell adapters that slide on and off of any of the pin types so they can be used either way. I just remembered, I think they're called "Goosenecks" as opposed to 5th wheels...

I'm 90% that one Turducken haul with two trucks, a trailer, a tow dolly, and a motorcycle on another trailer technically qualifies as a TRAIN.

It would be nice if your going to do all this, you might want to find out what's what, like the "golf cart" mounted 90°on back of big rig is a Suzuki Samurai. That fifth wheel being towed via bumper is using a fifth wheel tow dolly. Let's get this stuff figured out and edited before you show all this and don't know what the doohickey attached to the thingamajiger on top of I don't know what that dilly bobber is.......n

I thought it was golf cart made to look like a Suzuki samurai, as far as the tow dolly, in all my time I had never seen one so thanks for clarifying. That is a way cool feature

12.04 This setup is similar to the ones seen in the UK during the Summer. Only the Travelling Fairground drivers are allowed to tow more than one trailer. Although that blue pick up truck looks decidedly iffy - unless the front wheels are locked - If not then it's definitely illegal. We don't have massive wide open spaces like the Yanks & Aussies, so our weights are somewhat restricted don't you know. Pip pip , toodle ooh, pardon my titfer and shine your shoes guv'nor? 🧐🎩 👞

People that use big rigs to tow a 5th wheel trailer just have more money to waste than common sense. Looking at the Watts on Wheels set up they must have a hell of a time finding places to park that waste of money. They miss out on so much by not being able to enter a lot of parks.
