Thank you 👍😁 I know just imagine if this line was still running would have been cool to extend it as a passenger service still . That cat come flying past my bike wheels further on 🤣📸 didn't film that part tho
Great video drew 👍 those mite be airshafts and the hill mite be old industrial slagg heaps.....then again I could be wrong but nevertheless great findings with the old bridges etc 👍
I walked and cycled this route about 12 years ago starting from Wolverhampton, found by chance off of the canal west-bound, spotted a large Warren pattern girder bridge and WOW , followed the route as far as where it crosses over the A449 near the scrapyards. I noticed many of the plate girder bridges along the route are in extremely well kept condition, many of them having brick infill Jack arches underside between the H girders, the engineers blue brick jack arches looked like they'd had a coat of varnish applied as preservative, and the outer plate girders look like they'd had a fresh coat of yellow + brown paint.
I'll have to walk the full length bud from the fens to Tettenhall interesting place with all the old bridges shame there's no railway track left but to see the bridges amazing to see. 😁😁
Another history lesson from you Drew. Not been that way at all, the walkway looks a good place to explore by bike. That cat was in fact the Himley panther, he feeds of RUclipsrs you know. Lol, 🤣
Hi Drew my son an me did this route earlier this year….. my son went up to the top of that hill you were looking at…. Open fields etc….. is that a vent pipe? Out of the ground🤷🏻♂️great vid son 👌🏽😎

The south Staffordshire railway walk is where the railway once was
Until closure in 1965
And now pedestrian and cyclists are now using that route
One my favourite routes this is I'm gonna do a video based on the trains that ran through in the summer I haven't covered up to Wolverhampton yet
