It’s not just the 10 minute version that hit number one, it was the combined streams and sales of both versions-they’re considered the same charting. It’s just the “Taylor’s Version” that’s different from the original :)

Interesting, I’m a full fledged swiftie but All Too Well wasn’t ever one of my absolute favourites, until the 10 minute version was released! Now it’s top 5 for sure!

When 10 minute version was released. I cant listen to the snack size version by choice. It feels so incomplete for me now 😅 also her story telling was so good 10 minutes feels like a 4 minutes for me.

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT, there's just something about BTS's song that just sounds more processed than genuine (if that makes sense), like, it sounds good, but it doesn't sound "raw". and let's be real, it wouldn't have reached #1 if it wasn't BTS
It's just a commercial sound on steroid. If you hate pop music because of how commercial it is, idol group music is a whole other level. I mean I liked BTS' old songs because it's different from Western music but when you compare it to other idol groups, it wouldn't really stand out that much. But at the end of the day, the music is not the only selling point of the idol culture so...
I wished levitating would have hitted number 1, it is wasn't for Billboard giving more weight to the airplay points that week.

I like both all too wells for different reason. The original is a really concise story that takes the listener through her feelings and the scarf as a motif works better. The new one adds onto that with a lot of details which make it way more heart-wrenching. But that really only works if the listener already knows the original. I also like both productions a lot but they are very different. I totally get why you like the og better though and no judgement

Nobody asked for my opinion but the production sucks. The looped drum sounds so lazy and Jack really proves once again that he's either a hit or miss; no in between. His production is either bad BAD or good GOOD
Although I listened the 10 min version a lot and also like it a lot you gotta admit that the production is lazier than the original I definitely dont think Jake did a great job on this one unfortunately so I can see why people prefer the original with heavier instruments and overall better production
@@selin6056 idk. the 10 min version's production worked better since it adds the haunting, cold, autumn feel. the outro makes it even better.
I also thought the production was a step down when I first heard it, but then I listened to a fan remix of the 10 minute version with original production [ruclips.net/video/tY6JLbXLWoM/видео.html] and I can see why they changed it up. The country rock production sticks out a lot more, which works for a 5 minute song, but 10 minutes is too much. I think Taylor & Jack opted for quieter production so that the lyricism stands out and carries the track.

Great: drivers license, MONTERO, Leave The Door Open, Save Your Tears, Easy On Me & All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)
Good: RAPSTAR, Good 4 U, My Universe & INDUSTRY BABY
Decent: Mood & Peaches
Meh: What’s Next & Permission To Dance
Bad: Up, Butter & Stay
Terrible: Way 2 Sexy

10 minute version wasn't meant to be something that is like "oh this is a banger" it is a story for the fans. And since her fanbase is so big that's why it went number one.

Your opinion about Butter is fine and understandable, but when it comes to BTS in the western music industry they have a hard time, which is Dynamite, Butter and Permission to dance are all produced and written by Columbia Records with whom they had a distribution contract and publicity but they never helped them at all, only when they were projects directly from that label they supported them on the radio, when they released songs written by themselves or their personal team they did not receive support, for example Life goes on which is the main single of their BE's last album, only had 6 spins on the radio because CR didn't want to support them, that's why they decided not to renew their contract this year and so they went to Universal Music Group with whom we hope will support them because the works they have made before these singles in english there are quite a few that should have had more attention but they didn't get it as they are not western acts, well I'm not justifying these songs I'm just giving a context of why if they are successful and not other jobs, let's hope this year if they release an album or something goes well for them.
