No children. No future. No hope. In the year 2027, eighteen years since the last baby was born, disillusioned Theo (Clive Owen) becomes an unlikely champion of the human race when he is asked by his former lover (Julianne Moore) to escort a young pregnant woman out of the country as quickly as possible. In a thrilling race against time, Theo will risk everything to deliver the miracle the whole world has been waiting for. Co-starring Michael Caine, filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron's Children of Men "Lifts you to the rafters, transporting you with the greatness of its filmmaking. The action is swift, ferocious and spectacularly choreographed." (The New York Times)

Happy 15th anniversary to the cast and crew of _Children of Men._
I studied this film for school, and the scene where both sides cease fighting once they glimpsed the newborn baby just stunned my class into impressed silence. Talk about an underrated film!
❤️
I saw the movie commercial in axn
And i didnt saw it complete
Until one day i did it
Until one day i did it
One of the greatest film scenes in history. Period.
This is less science fiction and more realistic as the years pass
Women can still give birth tho
Exactly
@@eloii birth rates are still record low
@@thegrizzly3436yeah but fertility isn't. People aren't having babies cause society is fucked up right now and having one is too much trouble
@@thegrizzly3436because conservative policies that make having children more expensive and instead of doing anything about it, just saying “muh free market” while corporations make record profits in the trillions and instead of doing good with those wealth, they do stock buybacks and manipulation. Congrats conservatives you have just made the world a shitty place
Emmanuel Lubezki is fucking AWESOME at long-shot cinematography!
Cinematographers, I mean, sure,
But the actors though
@@NmMindstorm what do you mean?
@@rasharddavis321
Carrying a 10 minute scene as an actor is tough. You receive all this visual direction to kneel in certain places, sit or stand in others, etc. And with how many actors there are, it just takes one small mistake from anyone to need to restart the whole take
@@NmMindstorm oh okay thank you
This is probably one of the greatest shots in the history of filmmaking. I love cinematography.
Happy Anniversary to one of the greatest films of all time 🔥🔥🔥
This is the only film that still almost makes me draw a tear from my eye.
Children Of Men is my favorite film.
15 years since this Sci fi classic was released! Time flies, as it also has been exactly 10 years since Drive, the film that introduced neon noir as a genre.
It's not Science Fiction it's Dystopian :)
Omg 15 years😱 its still brand new ♥️
I saw this in a half-full theater a while after it had come out. During the last 30 minutes, I don't think anyone said a word, moved in their seats or even coughed. No one talked as they left the theater in complete silence.
My favourite apocalyptic movie. Thank you.
2027 is when this movie takes place. In two years, we have witnessed pandemic, war, social media, and politics tear our entire world apart. We are more divided than we are unified. This movie affirms one absolute truth: Unless we make life the top priority in all of our actions or decisions, our fate will be the same as the dreadful future this movie depicts. No amount of technology or social justice warfare will ever justify what we do if we do not make life a reason for building a better future.
History tends to repeat itself. Too many people caught up in culture wars.
"In the current, digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second, preserved in all its triteness. Never fading, always accessible. Rumors about petty issues, misinterpretations, slander. All this junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate. It will only slow down social progress, reduce the rate of evolution. The digital society furthers human flaws, and selectively rewards development of convenient half-truths. Everyone withdraws into their own small gated community, afraid of a larger forum. They stay inside their little ponds, leaking whatever "truth" suits them into the growing cesspool of society at large. The different cardinal truths neither clash nor mesh. No one is invalidated, but nobody is right. Not even natural selection can take place here. The world is being engulfed in "truth." And this is the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but a whimper." - dialog from Kojima's magnum opus circa 2001
Madre mía, en verdad está cada vez más cerca. Confiemos en Dios.

Movies aren’t just made because it’s a good story... The same is true for this warning tale. This is a true story of what happens to Homozygous populations after awhile. But I don’t think they understand that pale skin and straight hair are the result of inbreeding. Homozygous bodies suffer from Parkins disease, Spina Bifida, depression, suicide, inability to control heats, skin cancer, Altsheimer’s Disease, deafness, blindness, cystic fibrosis, the list goes on and on... Gregor Mendel first discovered (maybe he did/maybe he didn’t..) the loss of vital proteins in plants when the colour was lost. The takeaway is as the movie clearly states the pale people; in order to survive must mate with heterozygous people and restore the depleted carbon deposits needed for their bodies to be able to become fertile again. Me thinks that’s too much for ppl’s ego... They would rather die.
Looks like another message China needs.
