      Yes, Gideon, in the subtitles it says "that", but what you actually said -provided I got it right- was "when", which I assumed to be also correct. Is that possible?

    Not only have you done a great work on this video but you've reminded me of my English teacher back in the 70's and her effort to teach me these inversions which I stubbornly refused to use . What a beautiful language. Thank you .

    Someone give this man and the LetThemTalkTV team a RUclips Award for being one of the best English Language channels. Or probably the absolute best.

      [naiøə] - it is just Australian manner of speech, [niøə] - British and Americans. There is no so-called "standard" English around the globe, it is dead variable.

    Would you be kind enough to make a video about mixed conditionals? I think it's by far the most difficult topic in English. Learners shouldn't delve into this topic themselves without the help of an expert like you. They might end up in a muddle even losing basic conditionals knowledge .

      YES you are right. I think I said THAT in the video but it should be NO SOONER ....THAN. My mistake. Your are right, your teacher was right. A moment of madness on my part.

    8:20 Three questions:
    1. Why "the HIgh Street" with a capital I?
    2. Why "the HIgh Street" with the article "the"? I've always learned that streets don't get articles, like, "I'm going to Oxford Street."
    3. Why doesn't the sentence start with a capital and end with a full stop?

    Thanks for your video! Little did I know that Brits also say "neither" like "nee-tha" (not like "nie-tha"). Is it some American influence, a possible variant or some regional factor? As a non-native speaker, I try to speak American English, but since I'm extremely interested in languages and their dialects, I was just puzzled. Thanks!

    Are there two meanings for the conjunction 'as well as'.
    Some people are of the opinion that the verb agreement is determined by the subject 'before as well as' and some people are of the opinion that the verb agreement is determined by the subject 'after aswellas ' in a sentence with the conjunction as well as.
    For example
    1)Sita aswellas her friends is going to the mall .
    2)I as well as my friends are playing.
    Please make it clear to me.
    Further,I want to know whether verb agreements depends on the first person, 2nd person and 3rd person .

    When he gives the example with "No sooner", he says "No sooner had I arrived WHEN he told me I was fired", but the script reads : "No sooner had I arrived THAT he told me I was fired". But both sentences are incorrect, aren´t they? No sooner is folled by THAN. No sooner had I arrived THAN he told me I was fired.
