Yes please don't pause the solos. These cats are playing amazing things and if you think, nah, not so much, pick up the guitar and zoom in on their fingers. And remember that rock has it's roots in some amazing old school blues that in itself is amazing still. These guys always spoke of the influence they were blessed to have and then they got on a rocket ship and flew way outside the whole box with it. That double necked guitar he kinda helped it be showcased by his awesome playing. Twelve strings for a certain amount of sound in the song and then has the six strings for the leads. Hard to find a lot of guitar players who can even play that song and only over the years have guys pieced it together smoothly.

3 are still ALIVE. That utterly amazes me. When I was age 7, I still remember the audible GASP in the room when it was announced John B, their drummer, died. 7 years later, getting high to Zeppelin, I realized just how important John B's death was to the history of rock. It broke up the greatest artistic fantasy hard rock band in history.

The double neck guitar is a combination six and twelve string guitar. And yea that’s Robert Plant’s real voice. I saw them twice in NYC in 1977. They are my favorite band. If you want to see some great guitar playing check out Stevie Ray Vaughan at the El Mocambo.

Love Zeppelin too. Saw Robert Plant about 10 years ago in a small venue. Voice is even better in person. But if they want to hear some guitar, nobody, imo, can touch Stevie Ray. Stevie Ray is not of this world. Texas Flood at El Mocambo is insane. Getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

So they aren't going to react the same way we are, we who know they're the greatest band who ever lived, drummer guitarist and vocalist. But for 4 African American young men to open themselves up to listen, for one, and then appreciate the guitar and vocals just shows how far this band can reach. Watching the guy on the right straight up geek out over Plants vocals just made my whole month. I love it. I hope they discover more and better LZ songs and performances.

But they really did stop the band and touring after Bonzo died. I quote from a book by Keith Shadwick, "Led Zeppelin. The Story of a Band and Their Music 1968-1980":
(Peter) Grant recalled the beginning of that 'difficult period'. "After the funeral we all went to Jersey. But we all had that trouble with the [London] Evening Standard saying dreadful things...They came back from Jersey: I booked a suite for afternoon tea at the Savoy. And they all looked at me and asked what I thought. I said it just couldn't go on because it was the four of them, and they were all relieved because they had decided the same... You have to realize that for Led Zeppelin to make that music it needed the four of them to do it. And now that was gone."
