Pretty sure the Thorn set at the 7:26 mark is a rebadged Mitsubishi (CB-100B, or thereabouts). The ones I've seen always seem to turn up minus the power cord! 🔌

ah yeah, from memory pretty sure they're made in Japan, that would lend themselves to being made by Mitsubishi.

what a mother load, definitely a lot of very cool rare pickups - that old oscilloscope is very interesting looking. was curious to see yet another native SCART widescreen tube - will we be seeing a review on the sansui 76cm? that 9-pin IBM monitor would be very desirable to the right collector i'd say, it'd be cool to run the "8088 mph" demo on it, which i believe takes advantage of some more obscure tricks native to the old IBM video connector.
definitely looks like a bunch of that stuff hit the garden soil at some point. crazy what you find out on your end of town - you gotta be in it to win it.

The widescreen Sansui is playing up a bit so a vid of it may take awhile. The ibm monitor works great. The Metz is probably the biggest shock to find for me.

Hello, I placed a Bluetooth speaker next to a Loewe CRT TV (Phillips tube) and after 10 minutes I noticed a rainbow spot in the lower corner..) I removed the speaker and the spot disappeared, the TV also rebooted, but a small gray spot (or light spot) remained in the corner. The transistor works, a characteristic click when turned on... but the spot in the corner still remained..) Please tell me, will this go away on its own?

@@efuuu At least continue with the one in is one out principle. This helps me a bit: the TV has to look asthonishing, design wise, otherwise I don't bother. That leaves out all the meh silverpainted plastic junk of the nineties/2000's, I only allow 1 FD Trinitron in silver, but man it is fugly. No wood-grain rule helps too, woodgrain is for furniture. Keeps me from picking up the really old crap. Then I have the complete working rule: no remote, no correct picture: no pickup. Last rule is no PVM's. People did not have these back in the day as TV, the over-expose scanlines, and they are really bad for you wallet. Most PVM's also conflit with the looks criterium, but not always. The result is my collection grows, not too fast, but it looks magnificent and everything is on show and works.

Man of you have vertical footage render it on vertical container. Don't place vertical video in horizontal 1080p container.
