Thank you for the great video Jeremy! I have an 830 and a 930. I absolutely LOVE the BLUE on the 1030's. As you said in another video, you buy a machine because you like how it looks - among other things. I'd have a hard time reining myself in if I found a 1030 at a good price to be sure. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for your informative videos. A 1030 is in the mail at this time that I bought on Ebay. Can't wait to receive and use it. Question: I read the 1030 manual online and there are no details on threading the machine for a double needle. In the 1031 manual there is a mention of a supplemental thread guide on the right side of the handle but no details on the threading path for the second thread. Can you shed some light on using a double needle on the vintage machines and the threading procedure? Thank You.
The 1030 is a fabulous, Swiss-made machine. Bernina never advertised everything it can do. Bought new, I'll never sell mine. Used 1030s in near-mint condition remain difficult to find, especially if they're tricked-out with a major set of Bernina's precision Swiss-made attachments. I have around 30 of them, all I need, and the brilliant Master Guides that are out of print and literally impossible to find.
This video was just what I was looking for! Answered many questions for me. Thanks! Maybe you might be able to suggest why my 1030 suddenly started skipping stitches??? I’m the original owner, no replacing parts. It began dropping or skipping stitches when the Walking Foot was installed & I was quilting a baby quilt (no batting, minky backing fabric) I’m curious if you have any theories? Again, love love your vids!

Great video! What is your favorite Bernina?
Awesome video!!
The short harp compared with the 930/931/932 was a strange change.
I can’t see what you’re showing. Did you not realise?
