Many years ago when I was starting out mixing, I got to be a fly on the wall behind Neil while he was working at a studio called Sound Castle in LA. I still chalk that up to some of my greatest learning experience. Neil could work a SSL like a conductor works an orchestra. I soaked all that in and still count Neil as some of my greatest learning on mixing.
I love "Waterfall" so much! To me it is perfectly reflecting the vibe of the group and time. Also, this one works best _with_ the video and the sound is quite cineastic. I see no holes, but a choice of what is required and what would be trivial and can be left out. It makes a statement. Furthermore, a song like that need not become like a jeepney that has no empty space. ^_^ So I prefer it to the current productions that are so addicted to an equalized or evened-out state of everything. I want music to become opinionated again. Once, The Cream and The Nice were popular or at least well-known in mainstream, and also Miles Davis and Frank Zappa. Sure there will be drastic changes in the sounds of the future again.
@@peterbrandt7911 The Depth and Mono Spread stayed in phase even at max settings but as expected the Width pushed it over the line at around 60% Some of the presets did a lot and sounded great without going out of phase there is some witchcraft going on here. Very cool plugin.
Yooo, my drums are black, my bass is blue (/Purp depending on the bass), My guitars are also orange, only my keys are red, strings are usually red, vocals light blue and light green. Dope. guess we kinda see it the same way.

Kudos to Leapwing, question to Dave: Are there no phase issues, or with the mono compability?
Peter Brandt thank you Peter!
I was literally checking that out with a correlation meter when I read your comment.

Well he is 72 years old. So he is on par with looks and age. You will be old one day. Send in your pick when you reach 72 yrs old.
