Scotty was driving a megawatt 10 hours in traffic, hits the street cruise and drops two megawatt dyno runs. Then has a slushy and drives another 10 hours riding on a megawatt of power home. Gotta love it even as a Ford guy
Well Done Scotty. The ute is an absolute beast and at that much power, you should be very proud of your build, particularly its heart Yes you've had help, particularly from Adam to get it dialled in, but at the end of the day YOU put it together! What an accomplishment.I think it's a super accomplishment to actually DRIVE it to Canberra and be there amongst the cream. I know its succesfully completed drag challenge but how many of those top 5 vehicles did that too which is further testament to your build. Hope the trip back home was smooth and uneventful Looking forward to the ute getting some 7's for sure. As a big fan of Carnage and of course Scotty's garage, I'm super happy for you. like one other commenter said, you certainly know how to put a smile on people's faces.
Funny, story, or maybe not so funny, I was diving home from work today, and to set the scene, as I get into the burb's on the home stretch here in the Caloundra region, I keep hearing there chip from this RWD standard hilux workmate ute driving through the numerous roundabouts. I didn't think much of it, thinking, it's just some young apprentice having a bit of spirited right foot action in his first work ute, but it kept happening. There's quit a few roundabouts in quick succession and every one at Max turning he would chirp, and then the penny dropped! I thought to myself 'you little bugga, you've either welded that diff or you're running a spool' and it made me think of you and the 12's for 2K AU 😂😂😂 I also thought, you'd wanna be careful taking roundabouts at that speed, which would nit be excessive normally, with cops around cause they'll do you and defect your work transport as well 😂😂 ... It just made me think, 'Ah the brilliant ideas of youth' 😂😂
Thanks mate, yeah spools are no joke on the street. We run a true trac in the ute and it seems to work fine, but they're a lot more expensive than a spool
awesome achievement for you Scotty Your engine building skills are not to be scoffed at . glad to see you enjoying the weekend as an entrant and feeling the event . bring on 7 s and Happy new year!
Maybe a few cars from Sydney or country nsw have done the drive and then dyno.. but you’d probably be the first from Melbourne. Was cool to see the ute cruising round.
I knew Jason for so many years in Thailand. Still remember his funeral and miss that bloke so much. Was a great mate of mine and we always yarned for hours and hours about cara. RIP Jason 😭❤️
After the unit called the Yarrawonga comes the unit known as the Barnawatha. The biggest unit for the CAN-keypad would be the Woomargama. Never use the Tangambalanga-the keypad isn’t rated for it.
You could tell how proud of that effort you were - and so you should be. I'd be rubbin one out on th spot to have achieved what you did on an engine and car you built.. AND it made it home!! Onto the 7's now mate!!!
Scotty your a legend A true street driven car Congratulations you must win the trophy this year for doing over 1000hp & street driven the longest distance. Not like all the other fraudsters Telling everyone they own the Tuffest & fastest street cars which are trailered .
That's a mighty effort in any ones book Scotty, nice. Love the innovation with the cooling system 👍 that there proves one thing and one thing only, the radiator is simply just to small, is not able to exchange the heat to the air. You'll be needing to plumb a radiator with fans in the tub, that'll sort it. Can't wait to see that on a future episode. 👍
Yep definitely to small but your limited to what you can fit between the rails in the front, even if you left the one in the front and put a second in the rear. Use a pump to take water from the engine outlet to the back and return cooled coolant to the inlet again, you'd only need to run a inch I'd hose there and back. The other advantage is with the water going through 2 rad your slowing down the flow speed allowing the coolant to be in the rads longer to dissipate more heat. Just grab an AU rad and OEM fans 👍
This car is my dream build love ya work scotty, Maybe putting a slim line hard top of on her will give her some less wind drag when your going for the 8, minttttttt..... youll have to get a hsv front bumper for her aswell and some venetians to keep the temps down inside the cab
Wish I was there but couldn't due to commitments elsewhere. 8:39 Scotty are they QLD plates? Summernats is a fitting party for the VS Ute after all the hard work that went into it during 2024. I'm amazed at the new PB & that's down to you & the sponsors of the ute Scotty. Many thanks again for bringing us along for the ride & a great video to start 2025!
Its been a massive journey with the Ute, but you've now done Drag Challenge, Kenda and now Summernets. You've proven you know how to screw together a decent combo, with help of course 😅😅. Now go and rest up and get ready to strap on those big boy pants ans send it for 7's ☝☝☝☝☝
Having the radiator in the back beyond your rear tires would be very beneficial. Number one, a huge heat soak. Number two, no water dripping on to your tires a high speed. Number three, you could have a radiator that is angle adjustable with you tail gate angle. Number four, adding mass to the underside of your floor pan (lowest center of mass). : ]],
Needs a three-core triple-bypass Aussie Desert Cooler, mate! Biggest one that'll fit, and a couple of the highest-flow SPAL fans you can fit inside a custom shroud.
When you do the return trip maths, that's a horsepower per kilometre!!! Terrible numbers if you've driven to the shop and back, but 680 x 2 is pretty bloody cool 😎
Yes we know Scotty , as much as I dislike LS cars , mate I am proud of your achievements with this Holden . HOW GET BACK INTO A BARRA , WE WANT SEVENS AUSSIE BARRA POWER .❤
Still running that 600x300x125mm Proflow core Scotty? About to fit one up to my BA XR6T, off the shelf one not custom end tanks Looks like it will fit well with some cutting of the crash bar, and moving of the aircon condensor a couple of inches to the side
Hi Scotty ever thought of using water injection into the engine you will use less water and improve octane rating of the fuel and by the way using a race harness belt on the street is not ADR approved.
My utes got an air to air intercooler but plan on fitting a water box next to the fuel tank in the tray sub box with a Hobbs switch. It allowed me to run 10-11 psi on my draw through turbo set up on the Datsun. That was a cheap washer bottle set up with Weber jets epoxied to the intake manifold. Best $80 I ever spent on that car.
We left Melbourne with 3/4 of a tank and used that plus two 20L jerry can to get to Wodonga where we refilled with E85 and then used that plus three 20L jerry cans to get to Canberra.
This ute looks a lot like my cousin's old ute? You didn't happen to buy it off Clint (Pig) who bought the Street Machines Monaro (STREET) a decade or so back? Looks very much like the purple thing I helped with out the back of immigrant performance on the Gold Coast.
Yeah, I suspected that might have been the case, but I don't thin k it counts when you're from Canberra. Still a stout achievement though to drive your car in and make over 1000rwhp on the dyno
Scotty was driving a megawatt 10 hours in traffic, hits the street cruise and drops two megawatt dyno runs. Then has a slushy and drives another 10 hours riding on a megawatt of power home. Gotta love it even as a Ford guy
Thanks mate
Totally agree, ford man here, but Scotty done good. # respect.
@STREETMACHINETV hey Scotty did you run on e85 or 98 for the long haul commute?
Been great to watch you go from strength to strength
Yet still humble happy and down to earth
Thanks Scott
1362 hp incredibly impressive
Well Done Scotty. Well done Scotty, nothing better then living the life when all the hard work comes together. enjoy it!
True street car! Driven not hidden. Well done Scotty
Well done Scotty, well deserved to achieve a goal like that. Legendary effort.
awesome achievement for you Scotty Your engine building skills are not to be scoffed at . glad to see you enjoying the weekend as an entrant and feeling the event . bring on 7 s and Happy new year!
Maybe a few cars from Sydney or country nsw have done the drive and then dyno.. but you’d probably be the first from Melbourne. Was cool to see the ute cruising round.
It's possible but I can't think of anyone. I asked a couple people who had done it and they all towed their cars
Couldn't have gone better. Happy for you mate.
Brilliant effort from all concerned. Driving there and back. Just big respect guys 💪
Well done Scotty, great effort and a credit to your engine building skill.
Top Effort Mate great to see a real street car at the Nats Massive power and drive her home interstate is Huge effort ..Well done
I knew Jason for so many years in Thailand. Still remember his funeral and miss that bloke so much. Was a great mate of mine and we always yarned for hours and hours about cara. RIP Jason 😭❤️
well done mate you deserve a lot of credit for a great build
Congratulations
Finally got to see the footage of the XY into the wall thanks
Not that it's a good thing, but yes I'm glad I finally saw it. Poor bugger
After the unit called the Yarrawonga comes the unit known as the Barnawatha. The biggest unit for the CAN-keypad would be the Woomargama. Never use the Tangambalanga-the keypad isn’t rated for it.
I was going to use Woomargama, but my brain was fried and I couldn't remember
Thanks for a good belly laugh. I’m filing these settings next to my UggaDugga scale for torque settings.😊
Congratulations Scotty!
So good to see you enjoying the ute after all that hard work.
You could tell how proud of that effort you were - and so you should be. I'd be rubbin one out on th spot to have achieved what you did on an engine and car you built.. AND it made it home!!
Onto the 7's now mate!!!
Absolute weapon Scotty. Was good watching the build, then you go and do this with it. Hats off mate. Stoked for ya. Congratulations.
Sensational effort. Amazing result. Even better that it comes attached with all those other great experiences. You’ll be remembering that for a while.
Yep, I think I'll be remembering it forever.
All the hard work is now paying off. Can definitely see a sub 8 in this utes future!
Love seeing you this stoked mate, well done!
Awesome job on the ute scotty ,well done on the 1000kw after the long trip 🎉 stoked for ya
Well done Scotty, very proud of you!
Congrats Scotty! Great job
Simply, 10/10 & A+ to you Scotty & street Machine, I take my hat off to you all for an outstanding year, Cheers Guy's.
great work scotty. you've built a winner. imagine a drivable car with over 1000kw at the wheels. not an easy feat
Well done Scotty, looking forward to the 7's!
Scotty your a legend
A true street driven car
Congratulations you must win the trophy this year for doing over 1000hp & street driven the longest distance.

That’s awesome Scotty hope to see you and the Ute at the next Drouin car meet.
I love how content you look at the end of the video, good on ya Scotty 🤙
Awesome job Scotty. It's been great watching it all come together.
Epic effort mate, well done.
I am happy to see you so happy Scotty you deserve it.

To drive that car with that set-up that far. What a legend!
Great work Scotty and a true credit to you
Good to see you smiling Scotty! After all you've gone through with that ute... Nice one brother "-)
well done scotty after all the setbacks, you deserved it .felt for the guy in the xy into the wall poor bugger.🤟
Congratulations scotty
Gosh damn Scotty, that Utes an animal mate. Well done 👍🏻
This car is my dream build love ya work scotty, Maybe putting a slim line hard top of on her will give her some less wind drag when your going for the 8, minttttttt..... youll have to get a hsv front bumper for her aswell and some venetians to keep the temps down inside the cab
This is rad Scotty. Would be cool to see some kinda roadkill-ish type trips with a journey/goal to achieve in some future episodes. Keep it up mate.
We do love a road trip, and we will try and do more in the future but they are expensive.
well done mate
Love your vids awesome guy🏆 awesome rig too 👍
You have done Carnage proud brother 👊👍💪👌🙏🍺🍺🍺
Bloody oath mate 💪 time for those 7's 🚗 💨
Wish I was there but couldn't due to commitments elsewhere. 8:39 Scotty are they QLD plates?
Summernats is a fitting party for the VS Ute after all the hard work that went into it during 2024. I'm amazed at the new PB & that's down to you & the sponsors of the ute Scotty. Many thanks again for bringing us along for the ride & a great video to start 2025!
Yep QLD plate, the boss lives there and it's registered in his name.
@@STREETMACHINETV That makes sense now. I was gonna ask if it went to QLD & Back to VIC.
Huge respect to you Scotty - what a build!
Having the radiator in the back beyond your rear tires would be very beneficial.

Number three, you could have a radiator that is angle adjustable with you tail gate angle.

Yep, if it was a full race car we'd look into that
Just unreal Scotty!! Kicking goals bother, sounds like you had way more fun than it's last outing 😀 The ute has a lot in it I reckon 🤘
Good onya legend. Killer effort
Awesome Work Scotty well done mate!!
To drive from Melbourne to Canberra and back again is a massive achievement and nothing to sneeze at mate 👍 💪👌
Perfect Aussie ute✌
I seen the ute in the dyno cell. looked good. hopefully can get a entry next year
Came to summernats from new zealand i wish i had seen you and your ute
I've been thinking of running a water spraying set up on my stock L67 daily.
Being in QLD it struggles in the heat some days
Bloody rippa Scotty 1000 kW . You built that yourself 🇦🇺👍
Congrats Scotty on doing an event without having any problems. That's better than winning a trophy.
A trophy would have been nice too
@@STREETMACHINETV lol for sure.
Legendary effort mate 💪👍👍
Needs a three-core triple-bypass Aussie Desert Cooler, mate! Biggest one that'll fit, and a couple of the highest-flow SPAL fans you can fit inside a custom shroud.
I love this car! It's such a nice build. And the bed is full of junk, so it's still a ute! I wonder if megawatt is available as a licence plate?
Watching from mulwala 🎉🎉
Send me some gunpowder :)
Top work Scotty !!!!! You and Benny need to do a heads up race that would be brilliant LS v Barra
When you do the return trip maths, that's a horsepower per kilometre!!! Terrible numbers if you've driven to the shop and back, but 680 x 2 is pretty bloody cool 😎
Thanks mate
Hey Scotty shot out from barnawatha lol love your work
I was driving past when I came up with that
Well done Scotty “ 1000 kw is insane
Yes we know Scotty , as much as I dislike LS cars , mate I am proud of your achievements with this Holden .
HOW GET BACK INTO A BARRA , WE WANT SEVENS AUSSIE BARRA POWER .❤
Yep, we'll be back into Turbo Taxi soon
Did I miss something? What's up with the QLD rego?
Still running that 600x300x125mm Proflow core Scotty?
About to fit one up to my BA XR6T, off the shelf one not custom end tanks
Looks like it will fit well with some cutting of the crash bar, and moving of the aircon condensor a couple of inches to the side
Yeah, we still have that cooler in it, but the end tanks are custom and I doubt you will fit the condenser in there, but you might get lucky
How do yall get away with havkng qld plates but living in vic?
My boss live in QLD
22:36 chick in the back is giving the look like her hubby is spending that hair and nail money on the street pro wheel deal today 😂😂
I would too😂😂😂😂
After 12s for 2k. You can do the first 1000km with a 1000hp event.
You are a pretty damn good builder bro that motors hot
Yep, we're pretty happy with it
Onya Scotty 🥳👍
That’s crazy, I was certain Todd wilks made the 1000hp mark, I do remember the ttv8 commodore Ute though.
Todd made 850rwhp, he died before he made 1000rwhp
We done that with the burnout cars when they was on petrol yrs ago it helps
Well done, Scotty! You built a stout engine, mate! 🔥🔥🔥Cheers. Leigh.
Thanks mate 👍
Havent seen Dave Carter in ages!
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Eddie Tassone drive from WA in his twin turbo VH and make over 1000hp? Maybe even a couple of times?
He never drove his car over, he towed it over
Has it sorted the cooling issues yet?
Couldn't gather from the video, did you drive the ute to Summernats? 😅
haha, well we definitely didn't push it
Hi Scotty ever thought of using water injection into the engine you will use less water and improve octane rating of the fuel and by the way using a race harness belt on the street is not ADR approved.

That was a cheap washer bottle set up with Weber jets epoxied to the intake manifold. Best $80 I ever spent on that car.
ADR compliance isn't the highest of my priorities
what happened to old mates ford put in to the wall 😢 was it
brakes.
Forgetting about Paul in the Twin Turbo Holden Motor’d V8 who made 1000hp on PUMP FUEL!!!! ACME.
Paul?
13.01 Paris in Canberra 😂😂
Haha, she was pretty random
🤣🤣🤣
OMG MY FRIEND JUSTIN IS AT 12:43 IN THE BLUE SHIRT 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Well done Scotty, would love to know mpg on the road trip
We weren't really concerned with fuel economy on this trip, it's never been street tuned so the economy was probably 25-litre per 100km or so on E85
Top effort Scotty.
I'm curious. How many litres of fuel did you burn driving it up?
We left Melbourne with 3/4 of a tank and used that plus two 20L jerry can to get to Wodonga where we refilled with E85 and then used that plus three 20L jerry cans to get to Canberra.
This ute looks a lot like my cousin's old ute? You didn't happen to buy it off Clint (Pig) who bought the Street Machines Monaro (STREET) a decade or so back?
Looks very much like the purple thing I helped with out the back of immigrant performance on the Gold Coast.
We bought it from Grays Online at auction. I have no idea about it's history
Ahh the memory rekindles of the Judge ute.
Yep the JUDGE ute and TTV8 were both VS Commodore Utes, good point
Henry Winter in the white FG drove in, but he lives in Canberra 🤣
Yeah, I suspected that might have been the case, but I don't thin k it counts when you're from Canberra. Still a stout achievement though to drive your car in and make over 1000rwhp on the dyno
We’ll done scottie
just asking if you drove it up to summernats ,lol
good job scotty
Haha
Jake Edward’s has driven to Summernats in the torana from his workshop so not the furtherest drive lmao
Yeah I figured he did it at least once out of the five years that he won. That car is a beast, I'd love to see it make a come back
Well done Scotty , 7`s down the quarter soon?
As soon as we can
Should bring back the 100% street driven thing
It would be nice but unfortunately too many people can't mind their own business so people driving their street cars get reported
i saw you and said hi on real street
Why does the car have QLD plates just noticed that about
